Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

I know, the line on the ics is so faint compared to the FRER. I've ordered some branded tests but they won't come until tomorrow so I won't be able to test until Thursday. I think I'm a bit anxious after a chemical last month at 12dpo, worried the same thing will happen again. Hopefully once my period is actually late I'll relax a bit.

MynameisJune · 11/09/2018 11:49

I don’t think the worry goes away at all to be honest! I’m terrified this pregnancy will end in MC like the one last year, it’s 11 months since then and this is the first bfp we’ve had in that time plus the 7 months before that of trying too! It’s just one long worry from here onwards now!

EspressoPatronum · 11/09/2018 12:27

Hi everyone, mind if I tentatively join you? I'm 4 weeks today based on conception date, found out yesterday after an... Enthusiastic... afternoon a few weeks ago. I actually took the map but apparently this little one quite fancies hanging around. Dh and I are a bit rabbit in headlights.
We already have one ds(2) and for various reasons were planning on waiting another year before trying for our second. So while this one is very much wanted it's a little early!

EspressoPatronum · 11/09/2018 12:28

Oh forgot to say, based on conception date I'm due 21st of May if it all works out 🤞

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 12:52

@espressopatronum I'll be due 22nd :)

dreaminofholidays · 11/09/2018 12:56

I got my 2-3 weeks on a CBD this morning so feeling more positive.

Is anyone considering early scans? if so, how many week's? xxx

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 13:09

congrats @dreaminofholidays, that's a good sign.

I've thought about it, they're not too expensive. Someone on another board recommended getting one on or after 8 weeks otherwise you can't hear the heartbeat. Not sure if that's the case or not.

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 13:29

Anyone having cramps around 12/13 dpo? Period is due tomorrow and I have ominous cramping. It doesn't feel like period cramps though.

Anyone have any other symptoms around the missed period? Or is it too early?

DesertBOO · 11/09/2018 13:34

@dimblebimble I had cramping on and off from 6DPO (still do now after BFP)

zoClueless · 11/09/2018 13:44

@BuntyII ha, thanks - I won't worry about missing out on anything then!

Amolly · 11/09/2018 13:49

@Dimblebimble yup I started with cramps 3/4 dpo and they continued. I'm due Af today and started getting sharp cramps yesterday, I usually get them when af is imminent. Still no sign of it yet tho so fingers crossed it stays away xx

inkworks273 · 11/09/2018 14:15

@Dimblebimble Yip I've definitely been feeling crampy. I've also had tender breasts and been feeling a bit nauseous. AF due on Friday.

Mejse · 11/09/2018 14:32

@dreaminofholidays I think I might have one next week, I will be 8 weeks by then. There is a place near me that does walk in early scans for around £40.

From what I have heard if you have one before 7weeks it can be hard to find a heartbeat, measurement is harder and dates get put back, or they struggle to see anything. I have seen so many people go at 5-6 weeks only to have to go back again a week later. I would rather wait a few extra weeks than deal with the stress and worry of not knowing

SurfingOwl · 11/09/2018 15:19

I’m having an early scan next week.

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 15:30

Glad it's not just me feeling cramps. Haven't really had tender breasts or other symptoms yet, but felt quite breathless yesterday.

£40 sounds like a good price for an early scan, when are you going to go?

SurfingOwl · 11/09/2018 15:35

Is anyone else finding they feel really cold?

inkworks273 · 11/09/2018 15:45

@SurfingOwl Yes! I'm always cold to be fair but even more so than usual.

SurfingOwl · 11/09/2018 15:48

So glad it is not just me @inkworks273. This doesn’t bode well for coping during the winter!

BuntyII · 11/09/2018 15:51

On the folic acid topic, I have high BMI and last time I didn't start taking the 5mg until about 6 weeks, had a miscarriage the week after so I'm taking it straight away this time. Tbh I didn't really cut down on caffeine or slow down at all the last time so I'm trying to take a bit more care this time around.

SurfingOwl · 11/09/2018 15:58

That makes me sad to read @BuntyII. A miscarriage is not caused by the woman not taking enough care in circumstances like yours. Flowers

Patapouf · 11/09/2018 17:01

@ttcat32 I think mine is around 21/22 May! I certainly took the anxiety levels I experienced during the 2WW for granted 😂

@dimblebimble the lines definitely look as if they are getting darker to me, I can’t stop myself from POAS daily to check mine is too. I have had a lot of cramps and twinges since the BFP and I’m in a constant state of moderate panic. Looks like we are EDD buddies with @espressopatronum

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 17:28

@patapouf It's so hard to resist! I think it's because there's not much else you can do to help, testing feels like you're being active somehow (even though it changes nothing!). I think I might copy others in this thread and test with ICs for a week or so (maybe until the line matches the control line) and then after that just use the Clear Blue Weeks Indicators tests to check that I'm progressing to 2-3 weeks and 3+ weeks.

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 17:31

Also, is any one else insanely thirsty?! I'm drinking constantly and I still feel parched my lips feel dry.

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 11/09/2018 17:46

Yes to the being cold and thirsty! I’m also really tired already!

Buenavista · 11/09/2018 17:49

Been really crampy here too and 6 wks tomorrow. Feels exactly like af is due any minute, it’s really unnerving. And yes to feeling cold / hot, temperature control in general not as good as normal.
