Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Hello,

After a surreal week, and three tests later, please can I join this thread.

It’s my first baby and first month of not preventing pregnancy. Shocked but so very excited 🤗

Patapouf · 10/09/2018 21:11

McDonald and inworks I’m hoping the anxiety eases off and I can actually enjoy this pregnancy. I don’t think I’ll breathe a sigh of relief until the 12week scan and then I’ll just start panicking about everything else that can go wrong. I’m still testing daily with cheapies but I plan on checking with a clear blue digital this week and then next week to check progress

Hi @ttcat32!!! So nice to see a friendly face (so to speak)from the TTC thread. I’m well, how are you? When’s your EDD?

@gemma194 I’ve ordered and have started taking the 5mg of folic acid because of my BMI. I didn’t want to wait a month before I’m seen by a midwife because by then the crucial time for taking it will have passed.

Hi 👋 to all the other newbies! Congrats on your BFPs

minnierose3 · 10/09/2018 21:41

ha ha good to know I'm not the only one worrying that it could be twins I am absolutely exhausted honestly can't remember a time I felt this tired third baby and I have a DD who literally didn't sleep for about two years!!! I'm only awake now as my hubby just woke me from the sofa and told me to go to bed!!!!!

ttcat32 · 10/09/2018 21:50

@Patapouf delighted you are here! Hopefully we'll see some others too! I think EDD is somewhere around the 9th of May, have you checked yours?

I think we are all in the same boat in that it's natural to be a little bit worried at this stage, hopefully these next few weeks go in quickly! Although I must admit it is dragging in for me! If you thought the 2ww was bad, welcome to the 12ww 😂 xxx

ttcat32 · 10/09/2018 21:51

Welcome @Popsalot15 and everyone else who has recently joined, congratulations to you all x

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 11/09/2018 06:21

So I woke up this morning worried I was imagining things...still had a couple of tests left, so..!

I know it’s still very early days for me (4+3) but it was so reassuring to see another line. First time I’ve ever had a positive on a digital too. When I got my BFP on Saturday I was so shocked it was a bit of a blur, so it was nice actually sitting and watching the line appear this time. It appeared before the control line did which never happened with my chemical.

@zoClueless you'll probably get the bunty pack at your booking in or 12 week scan (well I did anyway) but don't get too excited for it 😂

sakuramiyagi · 11/09/2018 06:52

@Gemma194 I asked my GP if I should up from 400mcg because of a high BMI and he said no because I would be getting additional Folic acid from my diet.

I would still check with your GP, I'm sure they all sing off different hymn sheets. I have my midwife appointment next week and I'm going to check again.

inkworks273 · 11/09/2018 07:24

Morning everyone. I had pretty bad cramping last night which woke me up. Painful enough that I didn't know what to do with myself and had to get out of bed. It eased off after about 15 minutes. It really felt like I had my period. No sign of blood as yet.

MauisLeftNipple · 11/09/2018 07:29

Hope it comes to nothing inkworks273

SurfingOwl · 11/09/2018 07:44

I sometimes have really bad cramping @inkworks273 but it has never come to anything. I think mine is often constipation relation as well.

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 08:11

Took another internet cheapies this morning and it’s getting slowly darker. Also took a clear blue digital and it said pregnant.

Still don’t really believe it and haven’t told dh. Period is due tomorrow, will maybe test again then and tell him...? I bought a book when we first started ttc (fathers guide to pregnancy) that I want to give him as a way of telling him, but I don’t want to give it to him and it thorn it to be another chemical Sad

Is anyone taking prenatal vitamins yet? I’ve been taking folic acid, but that’s it.

rosettesforjill · 11/09/2018 08:14

Hope everything's ok @inkworks273 x

Up since 5 this morning with DS and knackered! Not sure how I'm going to survive all nighters combined with his crack of dawn waking antics Confused

rosettesforjill · 11/09/2018 08:15

@Dimblebimble I'm just taking folic acid at the moment but have some pregnacare for when they run out.

MimiSunshine · 11/09/2018 08:30

Hello newbies 👋

I’m taking the pregnacare folic acid with the iron and a few other things (possibly ginger and a B vitamin).

Mainly because I had low iron levels in my first pregnancy and had to take supplements which I’m hoping to avoid this time as they do bad things to your poo 💩🙈 and was just generally not very pleasant.

I’m also eating spinach almost daily in a bid to keep my levels up (I think I have low levels in life generally).
Low iron levels can make birth recovery a bit more difficult when you’ve depleated your energy reserves and there is a higher risk of hemorrhaging during delivery none of which happened to me last time thankfully but if I can keep the remedy fairly natural then the better

Amolly · 11/09/2018 09:05

Morning all. Glad I'm not alone with the cramps. Due my af today and stressing. Didn't sleep much last night. Getting the painful cramps I usually get when starting which is worrying me. Keep running to the bathroom thinking I've started. So far nothing x

rosettesforjill · 11/09/2018 09:32

I am SO HUNGRY

I had beans and poached egg on toast for breakfast and I have already eaten my planned snack (apple - I was a fool to think that would be adequate). I can't crack open the chocolate at 9:30am, can I?! 😂

rosettesforjill · 11/09/2018 09:33

@Amolly my early pregnancy symptoms were pretty much identical to period symptoms so may well just be that!

inkworks273 · 11/09/2018 09:42

@Amolly I'm the same except mines isn't due until Friday. I don't normally get the cramps until AF has started though. Man this is stressful.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes Biscuit

ttcat32 · 11/09/2018 10:02

@rosettesforjill yes, go for it! 11am is now lunchtime as far as i'm concerned :)

Amolly · 11/09/2018 10:43

@rosettesforjill same with me. I've had mild cramps since about 3 dpo but these are my af cramps, sharp pains which I only usually get the day I start. Had them 2 days now so I'm hoping it's a good sign that I haven't bled yet.

@inkworks273 possibly a good sign that your getting them now then. And isn't it just !! I never thought I'd be scared of things going wrong. I didn't know about chemical pregnancies so it's added a boat load of stress I didn't account for.

Best of luck to us all xxxx

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 11/09/2018 10:49

I’ve had mild cramps since a few days before I got my BFP. I think it’s just the uterus starting to stretch and so on, everything I’ve read said it’s completely normal in early pregnancy. It’s unnerving though!

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 11:21

Caved and told DH this morning. I so hope it’s not another chemical as I don’t want to disappoint him (or myself) again :( period is due tomorrow I’m praying it doesn’t come

What do you think of this line progression on the internet cheapies (most recent on top, 13dpo).

Dimblebimble · 11/09/2018 11:24

@MimiSunshine @rosettesforjill, I think if I'm still getting darker positives on Friday I'll order the proper pregnacare prenatal from Amazon, and just keep taking the folic acid in the meantime.

MynameisJune · 11/09/2018 11:26

@dimblebimble IC’s are rubbish for testing if you ask me. Half the time they barely show a line. In the nicest possible way, step away from the tests. Just take things a day at a time. Today you are pregnant!
