Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

@MynameisJune Oh absolutely. I've told him that if we end up having twins I'm 100% blaming him! One will do nicely Smile

MauisLeftNipple · 10/09/2018 16:15

LittleTipple apparently the Nuffield Council on Bioethics has recommended against gender testing via NIFT? Not sure if this is a recent edict. Anyway, won't matter to us because we've always had surprises and will do so again, even though I'd love to pass on half the clothes we have stored!

Firstbornunicorn · 10/09/2018 16:45

I think I'd rather have twins while I'm still naïve, than have them when I know how much work they are, if that makes sense

Spanner91 · 10/09/2018 17:09

Thank you @surfingowl it's been a strange 4 weeks for us so far! I'm just taking it as I go. First time mum so not got anything to base it on other than last pregnancy and I only knew of that for four days! My DH has joked it could be twins this time with the levels been so strong for how far along I am 😂 shame there isn't a home test for that ey!

SurfingOwl · 10/09/2018 17:13

If your levels are that high @Spanner91 then you’ll probably show as 3+ on a ClearBlue number of weeks test.

Spanner91 · 10/09/2018 17:19

Ooh I'll have to try that @surfingowl

inkworks273 · 10/09/2018 17:30

Is anyone else feeling super irritable?

I feel like I have pms and everything and everyone is annoying me. Just had the worst day at work because of it.

I haven't actually skipped a period yet as it wasn't due until Friday.

LittleTipple · 10/09/2018 18:21

@MauisLeftNipple Aah hadn't heard that. The place we go to is offering it, so if available we'll find out and if not we'll have to wait for the scan. I love the idea of a surprise, but I'm just not that patient!

Amolly · 10/09/2018 18:36

Hi all. I re did my tests to make sure it was real. I'm due my Af tomorrow and was really stressing this morning because of bad cramps and am worried it means I'm going to start. The frer was done about 12 ish after 30 mins of downing a glass of water. I think that's a strong result for 30 mins ( I hope so) and I did the clear blue 5 hours later.

Still having cramps but I'm hoping all's ok in there.

Had my gp appointment this afternoon to be referred to midwife. So weird that pregnant is now on my medical records!

I was given the number for the midwife so I can call directly - dr recommended I do that in a few days, even though they are doing the referral form.

I got given an Emma Diary pack but it was for 34 weeks and contains labour info, couple napped and other things for when baby is here. Seemed weird to me but reception said it's the only one they give out and I should just keep it aside for few months. I thought there was an early pregnant pack though? Anyone else get one? I don't want to miss out on info but I can also see online that the pack isn't necessary the best so perhaps I should worry!

zoClueless · 10/09/2018 19:06

Forgot to add -
I've not posted in a few days so congrats to all the new people joining 😊

MynameisJune · 10/09/2018 19:16

Most of the free packs are a bit rubbish. A couple of small samples, maybe a voucher for spend x get x off type things. And then just loads and loads of leaflets that want your details.

tinyradish · 10/09/2018 19:32

Congrats to the newbies - the thread is growing so much! :)

Dr prescribed cyclizine so I'm hopeful the vomiting & nausea will be much better in the next few days. Honestly felt like I couldn't deal with it any longer - it's horrendous.

Speaking of twins, my husband keeps mentioning that too. Had such a strong positive at 11dpo & such strong symptoms from so early on. Plus it's a Clomid baby so the chances of multiples are much higher!

Patapouf · 10/09/2018 19:41

Hi everyone, can I join? I’m 3+ 5 and absolutely terrified that the bean won’t be sticky! This is my first pregnancy and will hopefully be our first child.

I’ve had a fair amount of weird cramping, touch of nausea and very sensitive to smells the last few days. Only DH and MN knows so far, I’m not sure when to tell very close family and friends.

Mcdonald234 · 10/09/2018 19:41

I called to book my booking in appointment with the midwife and she offered me one this week (I'd only be 4 weeks). I asked to have it a few weeks later just incase as I still feel it's too early for this. My AF isn't even due until another few days! I have booked it in for a few weeks but it is during work time and since I'm a teacher I think I'm just going to have to come clean to my HT which I didn't want to do until after 12 weeks!

My lines are pretty strong which makes me think, shit am I having twins haha. My MIL is a twin so I guess it's a possibility.

Mcdonald234 · 10/09/2018 19:42

@patapouf you're the same as me and I feel the exact same. So worried it won't work out. I have so many pregnancy tests coming. Will we ever relax?

SurfingOwl · 10/09/2018 19:44

@Mcdonald234 do you want twins? They only tend to have a genetic link down the maternal side and even then, only as non identical twins. Although as you get older you are also slightly more likely to have (non identical) twins.

I am not sure DH would be very keen on twins! Grin

BoomKapow · 10/09/2018 19:47

@kiltedsheep I am 6+6 today and I feel like I have a crazy big bump. About the size I was at 16 weeks with my first. It can’t just be bloat??

dreaminofholidays · 10/09/2018 19:54

@amolly that looks a good line to me!!

xxx

inkworks273 · 10/09/2018 19:57

@Patapouf I'm 3 + 4 and feel exactly the same as you.

Mcdonald234 · 10/09/2018 20:14

@surfingowl I would be happy with a healthy baby (at this stage I'd be too scared to say anything but that) but I don't imagien how people cope with twins. I'm sure you make it work. Good to hear it comes from my mum's side.

I told my trainer tonight in-between exercises and she has told me exercises to avoid. Just need to use 'back problems' to hide that I'm pregnant from my training partner otherwise she'll be annoyed I'm skipping out stuff!

Dimblebimble · 10/09/2018 20:28

Hi everyone,

Joining tentatively as still only 12dpo and Af is due on Wednesday. Had my BFP today on a free after a faint line on a IC yesterday.

I've been feeling a lot of cramping already which is worrying me a little + frequent urination + feeling very thirsty. Seems early for all of these things! Hope the cramps aren't a bad sign!

Haven't told DH yet, may see if I get another and darker bfp tomorrow first!

ttcat32 · 10/09/2018 20:29

Oh hi @Patapouf 👋👋👋 congratulations!!!!!!!! I must have missed your news but haven't been on much! Hope you are doing ok? ❤️xx

Gemma194 · 10/09/2018 20:58

How many tablets are you taking a day ? I've got the 400 ones only one a day but have a high bmi so wondering how many to up it by?

Gemma194 · 10/09/2018 20:59
