Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Just got the school run for my eldest this morning and a day with my youngest at home which should be nice. We did our own extension (husband is a builder) when I was heavily pregnant with my second. It was finished when she was 3 months old. It was honestly the most stressful time of my life. We have pretty much finished renovating the whole house now and I said no more big jobs this time!!

Shazafied · 07/09/2018 08:17

Totally agree and looking forward to a bit more nausea

purplestar9 · 07/09/2018 08:46

Hi @Curlylemon welcome.
I hope the anxiety isn't getting too bad for you. Would you usually get anxiety anyway (I mean before the pregnancy?)

Curlylemon · 07/09/2018 09:09

Thanks ladies :)

@purplestar9 I do suffer with anxiety a fair bit. Had pnd after DC1 who is 5yrs now. Came off meds a bit early and ended up back on around two years ago for anxiety. Manage without meds now but I can feel some of the signs re-emerging since my BFP. Am a bit of a control freak so this waiting and not not knowing really flips all my switches! Hopefully I'll calm down but will mention it to my GP next week :)

How is everyone this morning?

Curlylemon · 07/09/2018 09:10

@untiltheveryend aw that's great news about your early scan, so good they are offering it without having to go private

positivepineapple · 07/09/2018 09:18

That's great news! @UntilTheVeryEnd

@Curlylemon I'm with you on the anxiety. I had a really bad yesterday. My boobs aren't as sore so that set me off worrying. I wish I could fast forward to 16 weeks or so. Trying my very hardest to stay positive but can't help imagining worst case scenario. My DH kindly reminded me that I'm definitely acting pregnant with my crazy mood swings and weird food attitude.

SurfingOwl · 07/09/2018 09:46

I am feeling horribly normal today, which I don’t like.

I’ve sent an email link to everyone who messaged me about the Facebook group but for some reason I was unable to reply to everyone directly to say that. If you don’t receive it, or have any problems, then please let me know.

Curlylemon · 07/09/2018 09:59

@positivepineapple agh it's awful isn't it. I cried for ten minutes yesterday because my boobs had stopped hurting. Then when they started hurting again I cried about that. DP kindly pointed out that this is pretty classic pregnant lady behaviour!

Curlylemon · 07/09/2018 10:00

@SurfingOwl I haven't received anything... Would it be a message on Facebook or on here? Thanks :)

SurfingOwl · 07/09/2018 10:17

@Curlylemon the link will have gone to your email account, so check your junk mail. Smile

Nulanoo · 07/09/2018 10:42

Please can I have a link too?

Curlylemon · 07/09/2018 10:56

@surfingowl found it, thank you!

Firstbornunicorn · 07/09/2018 12:07

@curlylemon @positivepineapple I feel you on the anxiety front. I nearly cried with relief when the doctor said I could stay on my Sertraline! I think I might need to up it, really, but now doesn't seem like the right time.

Lizzybeth123 · 07/09/2018 12:18

Just catching up. It's nice to read that everyone else is in the same boat anxiety wise 🤦🏼‍♀️ I keep feeling my boobs so make sure they are still sore. As after my last MC that's how it started. I've been having a lot of pains but read this is due to ligament stretching. Been using a hot water bottle as don't want to take anything.
I have a scan at 8 1/2 weeks I didn't ask for early but I think due to my MC 2 months ago the hospital have booked me in. What will be will be but so excited and just taking everyday as it comes. This group is helping a lot reading what everyone is going through and nice to know we all have similar things going on...
does anyone have any more tips for getting rid of trapped wind? The pains are waking me up at night feeling like period pains? But seeing as I have had for a good week now I'm hoping just ligament stretching or wind? Has anyone else had them so bad they wake up x x

purplestar9 · 07/09/2018 13:14

@Curlylemon I've suffered with anxiety for a few years now too. I'm surprisingly calm about this pregnancy though. I do have my mornings where I feel nervous but I'm just trying my hardest to be as positive as possible and not think too much into things. I do have 2 sisters and a sister in law who have all had babies though so any questions I'll just go them (this is my first).
@Lizzybeth123 I've always suffered with bad trapped wind (I have IBS) even before being pregnant and apparently you should be safe to take Wind-eze. I find the chewable ones work better than the tablet ones myself. I think it says on the packet to check with GP before taking but I've taken it and my sister did during pregnancy and it's fine :)

mayago · 07/09/2018 14:38

I got my booking in appointment! It's not until the 18th (or is it 19th, baby brain already) OCTOBER! I'll be nearly 11 weeks by then..

Think that's cemented my decision on an early scan. Seems such a long way away to be seen! My 12 week scan won't be arranged until booking in 😒

Cramps disappeared for a few days, but are back with a vengeance today! Hope everyone is okay today!

kiltedsheep · 07/09/2018 14:56

@mayago That's ridiculous! I'm still waiting for my booking appt...and I have a horrible feeling I might end up in exactly the same situation as you.

@Firstbornunicorn I'm also still on my Sertraline. I tried to come off it when I was pregnant with DS as I just didn't want to take any risks, but things went rather Pete Tong and I had to go back on it. So this time around, I agreed with my GP (and DH) that I should Keep Calm and Carry on with 50mg.

It's taken me quite a few years to accept that having anxiety/depression doesn't mean I'm a little snowflake who can't cope with Real Life. For me, it's an illness linked to a chemical imbalance.

Although DH would probably say I'm just nuts. 🥜 In a nice way! 😀

Lizzybeth123 · 07/09/2018 14:56

@SurfingOwl please can you invite me to the group you have made ?

kiltedsheep · 07/09/2018 15:00

Btw does anyone else have not just sore boobs, but really full, heavy ones?? I'm only 6+3 and I swear my boobs never got as full (DH yesterday: "Christ, it's like they're bags of iron filings") until much, much later on when I was carrying DS.

tinyradish · 07/09/2018 15:06

Yeah mine feel really rock hard, if that's what you mean!

tinyradish · 07/09/2018 15:10

Gosh that is a long wait @mayago!

I had my first apt today (going by last period, they're classing me further along than I am) & my scan is booked in for 3 weeks time.

She's also advised going to the Dr's for anti-sickness tablets if it carries on much longer rather than trying to suffer on. Plus rest & no intercourse due to the bleeding (if that continues a&e.)

BuntyII · 07/09/2018 15:36

Hello everyone. Tentatively joining as just got my positive yesterday and will be 4 weeks tomorrow. This will be my second baby, DS is 15 months. Had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in July so I'm feeling a bit nervous.

LittleTipple · 07/09/2018 17:08

Hi everyone, I only got my BFP yesterday and was going to wait to join as had miscarriage last month. However, I'm taking the attitude 'I'm pregnant today' and trying to stay positive. This will be DC3 for us and I'm just praying to the universe that it sticks. Congratulations to everyone on this thread and looking forward to sharing the journey with you. x

UntilTheVeryEnd · 07/09/2018 17:22

@LittleTipple YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so glad we get to be buddies again and all being well for both of us have our wee no3 bundles together. Am just chuffed to see you across here x

minnierose3 · 07/09/2018 17:31
