Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Not telling anyone yet. Once my tests come back stronger I'll tell my partner as hes been upset every time we thought we had a chance then unfortunately the worst happens. Then once we have the 12 week scan we'll tell family.

And im on propranonolol too. Only on 40mg starting dose but they was going to be upped as they're not helping at all.

MrsReader · 02/09/2018 16:17

Told my mum the day I found out 😂 told siblings. Telling husbands family next week. Will prob tell friends before 12 weeks but will try and hold out as long as I can haha

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 16:38

@MrsReader I've told one of my siblings, will be telling the others soon. I feel that because my sisters have both had kids I would love to be able to talk to them about the pregnancy, I wouldn't like to hide it. Plus I have to tell some at work so would rather some family knows before hand really. And of course my best friend knows (but I work with her mum and didn't want her finding out that way!) and if something (god forbid) bad does happen, I'd appreciate the support of those around us.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 02/09/2018 16:50

@Excitingthingsahead I needed at least 80mg before it started doing anything... once I got the right dose, my god it’s a miracle drug... hope you get sorted soon x

MrsReader · 02/09/2018 16:53

That's my thinking too @purplestar9 - if something happened then I would want the support from my family. But we are gonna be fine! 🍀

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 16:57

@MrsReader of course we are 😊 I'm going to as positive as possible throughout this whole journey!

rosettesforjill · 02/09/2018 17:25

I told one sister on Friday - will be telling the rest of our close families around 8 weeks I think, probably around the time of booking in appointment depending when that is!

BoomKapow · 02/09/2018 17:40

mayago how did the big reveal go?

MrsReader · 02/09/2018 18:00

Me too @purplestar9. I've had a few days that I've felt anxious but I'm trying to calm myself down and enjoy it

tinyradish · 02/09/2018 18:32

I've got my booking in apt next Friday! Will only be about 6 weeks, but they think I'm 10weeks going by last period. I'm not complaining Wink
Has anyone else got theirs through yet?

Been spotting on and off for a few days - red this morning. Think everything's OK though. Apart from that, just ridiculously tired now & slightly queasy today.

Hope you've all had a great weekend and are feeling OK Smile

purplestar9 · 02/09/2018 18:59

Hi @tinyradish I have my appointment booked for 12th September, I will be 7+1 I believe. Might feel a bit more real at that point!

SurfingOwl · 02/09/2018 19:17

I think I will be exactly eight weeks by my dates when I have my booking in appointment. Hopefully I’ll have an early scan at the hospital next week to confirm all is ok though.

tinyradish · 02/09/2018 19:49

Oh great! Yep booking in apt makes it very real doesn't it.

I have an gyno apt on Tues to monitor a dermoid cyst - it's at a private fertility clinic & he prescribed me Clomid last time I went. They don't know I'm pregnant yet but I'm hoping he'll check everything out when I tell him (meant to be having a transvaginal scan for the cyst anyway.)

Lizzybeth123 · 02/09/2018 20:16

Would you all recommend booking a private scan first. Im excited but at the same time can't help but feel worried at the same time after my MC really trying to be positive Smile but maybe a good idea? I'm just so unsure it's my first so I feel alittle lost x

mayago · 03/09/2018 11:32

@BoomKapow OH is so excited! The digital test battery had run out, so I ended up sleepily giving him a blank test when he came upstairs to make sure he was reading DD's t shirt right Blush

I'm on day 3 of a headache. It has eased a bit - thought I was going to be sick with it yesterday morning. It's not dehydration or caffeine withdrawal, so assuming it's hormonal and crossing my fingers it passes quickly.

@Lizzybeth123 we had an early scan around 9 weeks last time (and an unintentional one at 5+5), and it was lovely to see a heartbeat! I believe anytime after 6 weeks you get a good chance at seeing the heart has started beating, but too soon and it will just leave you with more worry. Groupon often have inexpensive options, depending on where you live.

Fingers crossed you get to see something tomorrow @tinyradish

I understand @Excitingthingsahead We've had two chemicals, and I didn't tell OH the second time as he was excited we'd managed to conceive, and it just made me even more sad. Once I had confirmation on a digital test I was happy to tell him; we didn't get that far on the cp cycles. I hope everything works out for you!

tinyradish · 03/09/2018 12:01

Thank you @mayago :)

Have you tried the Forehead stick for your headache? I've tried them before - not a miracle worker but does provide some relief!

mayago · 03/09/2018 12:40

Ooh, that's a good idea @tinyradish That might just be enough to make things bearable again Smile

Excitingthingsahead · 03/09/2018 12:59

@mayago just don't go where there's a breeze as it can make your head worse (found out the hard way)

Im going to go doctors on Thursday to see if I can have a blood test done as my tests are coming back so light also see if they can give me something for this nausea. Its horrid :(

rosettesforjill · 03/09/2018 13:04

I've been eating like a horse all weekend - need to get it under control!

I've got the day off with DS today (preschool inset day) so am having a lovely chilled time with him Smile I'm feeling under pressure to get plenty of bonding in with him before another little person comes into the mix!

positivepineapple · 03/09/2018 13:23

@tinyradish Good luck for tomorrow! Please let us know how it goes.

@rosettesforjill I had my first food induced tantrum today. DH offered to get me lunch, I haven't been fancying much recently. I don't feel sick, but nothing appeals. I thought long and hard and settled on a particular sandwich. Was looking forward to it. He got back with completely the wrong thing. I swore a lot and almost cried. Then I went to get a burger, it was amazing, but now I feel guilty about eating crap for lunch ☹️

Firstbornunicorn · 03/09/2018 13:48

@positivepineapple, since when do you need to be pregnant to have food-induced tantrums? I'm the queen of being hangry! 😂

rosettesforjill · 03/09/2018 13:52

@Firstbornunicorn me too 😂

fadgadget · 03/09/2018 14:51

hello, I am also due early May Smile. I'm not exactly sure when as my period came early last month by a couple of days, and was particularly short. Up until this point it was a regular 28 day cycle. I wondered could that have been implantation bleeding but I think I had a negative test at the time (kind of lost track tbh). Anyway, I think I'm about 5 weeks today, unless I find out it was in fact implantation. In any case I don't really have any symptoms which is a little disconcerting, but reading all the above this doesn't seem too unusual. Boobs are bit sore like when a period is due and maybe a bit more tired than usual. I think I would have more symptoms if I was even further along. I've left my details with GP surgery last week and the midwife is supposed to get in touch, I have no idea when that will be though. So many questions... Hmm

rosettesforjill · 03/09/2018 15:18
