Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Congratulations @fadgadget If you are 5 weeks, a clear blue digital should say 2-3 weeks? It's not an exact science, but I think I'd be too curious! Midwife will want to have your booking in around the 10 week mark I'm guessing. It's great to make a list of your questions, as there's so much information you may feel a bit overloaded on the day Blush

No food induced tantrums here today (loving the terminology @positivepineapple ) but since that second line turned pink it's all been cramping and headache. I'm hungrier than usual, but at the same time not too bothered about eating. 36 weeks more of this madness to go!

fadgadget · 03/09/2018 15:24

Thank you for the info and hello! Funnily enough I did a CB digital this morning and it said 3+. The instructions seemed to suggest that if you were over 6 weeks the test might go a bit haywire (I think I'd be 7 or 8 if I actually got pregnant last month). Who knows.... that's my 5th test so far in a week. The other 4 were First Response and Clearblue early detector types and they all had quick and very visible lines. Yes I did another this morning because I keep thinking there must be some kind of mistake....... Grin

mayago · 03/09/2018 15:41

fadgadget you could be further along then! Your midwife might send you for an earlier scan to get a better idea of how far gone you are. Exciting!!

Or, there could be more than one in there Shock who knows with our bodies!!

zoClueless · 03/09/2018 15:47

Having a worrying afternoon as feeling a bit niggling, almost but not quite, pain after my lunchtime gym session.

It was a hard class but I didn't push myself like usual, drank more water and opted for easier options for the stations in the circuit with options so I know I did all the right things and this is likely just more stretching and all that going on.
But can't help getting over anxious - I'm going loo every half hour at work just to make sure there's nothing alarming. 😞

fadgadget · 03/09/2018 16:17

mayago don't say that I'm having enough trouble adjusting to the idea of one LOL....

I think a bit of pain is normal zoClueless, I've had some very mild cramping low down over the last week but from what I've read its nothing to worry about. Kudos for getting some exercise in too!

zoClueless · 03/09/2018 16:33

I had a fair bit of cramping between week 4 and 5 but nothing in the last few days. I think I wouldn't have been worried if it hadn't have started right after the class. Now just need to concentrate on putting it out of my mind.

Gym classes in my lunch break keep me sane at work so really don't want to have to give them up (although I will be inserting some rest days!)

I messaged DH and he says he is completely not concerned so I'm going to try absorb that attitude this evening!

positivepineapple · 03/09/2018 17:20

I never normally get hangry, DH was quite shocked 😂

@mayago I completely get what you mean about not being fussed for food. I've actually lost weight. It's great!

Hi @fadgadget 👋🏻 that's intriguing, hopefully you will get an early dating scan? I would love to skip 4 weeks of pregnancy. That would be a dream. I'm fascinated with those "I didn't know I was pregnant" getting a baby without all those loooooong months of anxiety would be worth the shock I think!

@zoClueless It's so stressful analysing every pain isn't it! The week before my period was due the cramps were so bad I couldn't decide if my uterus was going to fall out or I had food poisoning!

fadgadget · 03/09/2018 17:22

I was expecting to hear from the midwife really quickly, at least to make a booking appointment, I guess it doesn't work like that...! First time pregnancy so all new to me.

ttcat32 · 03/09/2018 18:14

@positivepineapple sorry but I just lol'd at your uterus falling out, perfect description 😂

UntilTheVeryEnd · 03/09/2018 19:14

@positivepineapple I’m with you on the hangry! I’m like a Human dustbin at the moment. I’m sorry your uterus felt like it was falling out - however funny it sounds.

I’m now in a steady pattern of nausea, dry wrenching and bile! It’s relentless unless I eat every hour or so - I’ve started carrying a bag in my pocket as I ended up crouched beside my car in lidls car park bringing up green bile. Classy stuff this pregnancy malarkey!
Anyone else with me?

tinyradish · 04/09/2018 06:33

Omg that is horrendous @positivepineapple - how many weeks are you? Hope it eases off!

Nausea is starting to kick in for me too now... The queasiness has become nausea. Have ordered some of the sea sickness bands in the hope they'll help but they're not coming until tomorrow evening.

earlybirdhasanap · 04/09/2018 07:11

Tentatively joining. Got my bfp yesterday and due on the 14th of May so very early days.
I have a 2 yr old dd and I was really ill through the pregnancy so I'm hoping this one is a bit different.
I've also had three mc before dd so I'm probably jinxing things by joining so early but here I am.

Firstbornunicorn · 04/09/2018 07:16

Welcome @earlybird!

Having waves of nausea this morning. No actual puking yet. DH brought me peppermint tea before he went to work so hopefully that'll settle it before I need to leave

purplestar9 · 04/09/2018 07:51

Put your positivity pants on... that's what I'm telling myself today as I'm struggling to get out of bed... I'm so tired. Need to go to bed earlier tonight! I'm sure I woke twice in the night to pee!

Gsygoddess544 · 04/09/2018 08:37

Hi guys! My first post on the site .... took a clear blue digital this morning (4 days before period)... don’t know why, has I have absolutely no symptoms..just a feeling!......got a BFP!!!! 😁

kiltedsheep · 04/09/2018 08:52

@Gsygoddess544 @earlybirdhasanap Welcome and congratulations!

@UntilTheVeryEnd Bloody hell, that sounds horrific. I've got nothing to complain about (although I still do complain, obviously ) Are you worried that everyone around you will figure out you're pregnant, or do you really not mind either way?

@MrsReader You inspired me to do a 2 mile run yesterday! First time I've been running for ages, and it wasn't actually too bad. Cheers!

Penny04 · 04/09/2018 09:09

I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and sickness has slowly been creaping up on me, but today is a whole different ball game and i feel absolutely sick as a dog!
Trying to eat regularly and take it easy but nothing is really working, no idea how I'm going to keep this from work as I look awful and keep running to the loo, anybody got any tips?!

rosettesforjill · 04/09/2018 10:08

Oh no @Penny04 you poor thing! Have you got a manager you wouldn't mind telling? Just in case if needing to take time off. If not I would suppose people might guess but nobody would be rude enough to mention anything!

I'm still feeling ok, run was really hard this morning but that seems to be pretty random at the best of times! I've been feeling really flushed this morning though BlushBlushBlush

fadgadget · 04/09/2018 10:21

Congratulations everyone!

Can everyone just remind how far along they are? I'm concerned about lack of symptoms but maybe its just fortunate? In a few weeks time I might be wishing I felt like this....

Shazafied · 04/09/2018 10:46

@Penny04 with my first pregnancy I told my boss when I was just 6-7 weeks as I was positively green , sweating , dizzy .... I'm so glad I did, she was so nice to me and it really took the pressure off. Only my boss and the director knew , until I was 13 weeks.

I'm 5 weeks now and have on/ off nausea but not that bad at all (yet!). Just booked booking appt with midwife for 28/9... bit mind boggling to put "midwife appt" in my diary !!

Shazafied · 04/09/2018 10:47

@Penny04 I also found that very cold things helped- ice lollies for example. Plus sugary drinks and salt and vinegar crisps!

rosettesforjill · 04/09/2018 11:02

@fadgadget I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. I hardly had any symptoms first time round and all was fine, so try not to worry too much!

zoClueless · 04/09/2018 11:07

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow too and feel nauseous whenever I get hungry and have been having a snack every 2hours to keep that at bay. It's currently manageable (dreading that changing!) and mainly only bother when I wake up at night (which is now several times a night) as then I'm usually pretty hungry and therefore feeling like crap.
Also pretty tired, but I've always been a tired person and having sensitive boobs/nipples on and off.

fadgadget · 04/09/2018 11:13

I have 2 night hen party to attend next week, all booked up and everything so I can't get out of it. I think I'm going to have to tell some close friends then, because they are definitely going to guess as soon as I'm not drinking. It's a pity to have to tell others so early (I've told my parents) but I suppose in the event that anything goes wrong they will only be supportive.

Shazafied · 04/09/2018 11:14

Guys I'm also feeling pretty sad .... could be hormones but after confiding in a close friend I was prefers (but very early) she told me to remember the at this stage it's "just a fertilized egg and it may or may not turn into a baby" and basically not to get too excited . Then she sent another message later on ("ooh , an apology") and it said how her sister had 2 under 2 and it's extremely hard going !!

I mean, I already know these things, you don't say that do you ? I'm hormonal and tired so perhaps it upset me more than usual .
