Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Hey @MrsReader how are you? Thank you!
I'm really not sleeping well either! Glad I've been off work the last week but I'm back in on Monday which means I'm really gonna feel the tiredness kick in!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/09/2018 11:27

So... my DD fell off the trampoline last night when I got back from work... sat in A&E now, she has a fracture and needs a cast. I couldn’t go in with her for the X-ray and i felt like such a terrible mother. I’m so unbelievably tired and my DS is teething so just screams from dawn til dusk. Sad is it bedtime yet?

minnierose3 · 01/09/2018 11:47

Oh no @untiltheveryend that sounds traumatic 😕 how old are your other dcs?

MrsReader · 01/09/2018 11:55

I'm good thanks @purplestar9 . Just trying not to stress out over every little symptom!

Oh no @UntilTheVeryEnd that sounds really stressful 😣

Shazafied · 01/09/2018 13:31

So sorry about your dd @UntilTheVeryEnd , how is she?! You must be knackered . Hope she's ok and doesn't need to stay in x

Firstbornunicorn · 01/09/2018 14:37

Oh no @untiltheveryend. Hope she is ok 😭

Firstbornunicorn · 01/09/2018 14:39

DH was at pharmacy earlier and I'd asked him to see if they had anything for this awful cough I've got.
The pharmacist said there was nothing and she wouldn't even recommend honey & lemon because it's really easy to get diabetes in pregnancy.

I know gestational diabetes is an issue, but since I don't have any of the risk factors, I think that is a bit silly tbh
🤔

rosettesforjill · 01/09/2018 14:42

That's absolutely ridiculous @Firstbornunicorn. It's actually made me quit angry!

rosettesforjill · 01/09/2018 14:42

*quite

rosettesforjill · 01/09/2018 14:43

@UntilTheVeryEnd your poor DD! Are you back home now?

Firstbornunicorn · 01/09/2018 14:44

@rosettesforjill I think it might be because DH is overweight so she assumed that I am, too. Obviously, I'd be more at risk of it if I was, but I'm not. Just seemed like such a daft thing to say.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/09/2018 14:46

Thanks everyone for your thoughts! DD is 4 and DS is 19 months... DD is ok, dosed up on calpol and supporting a glitter cast which she chuffed with. It’s been so hard but DD has been so brave and I just feel drained. Did get a Mac Donald’s tho so the days not a total loss haha x

positivepineapple · 01/09/2018 15:25

@UntilTheVeryEnd Glad to hear your DD is ok!

@Firstbornunicorn That's awful!

positivepineapple · 01/09/2018 15:28

Is anyone else getting breathless? I'm not even doing anything and it's like I've got a huge weight on my chest.

It's annoying, paired with the dizziness I feel a bit drunk at times!

MrsReader · 01/09/2018 16:08

Some days I am breathless and some days not Confused it's odd!

I've had spasm-y cramps in my stomach today on one side. They don't hurt but it's very strange, like when you get involuntary muscle twitches. Do you think this is just my uterus stretching?

kiltedsheep · 01/09/2018 16:41

@Happysbno4 Cheers! ❤️

Blimey, I was off my phone for a few days and this thread has really kicked off! Great to see.

@UntilTheVeryEnd Glad your poor DD is keeping her chin up.

@Firstbornunicorn Was it the actual registered pharmacist your DH saw, do you know? I haven't been particularly impressed by advice I've had in the past from pharmacy assistants.

sakuramiyagi · 01/09/2018 16:43

@positivepineapple I've been dizzy for the last 4 days and the breathlessness kicked in yesterday. It's awful! I know exactly how you feel.

I'm taking advantage of it being a Saturday so I can go for a car nap.

Firstbornunicorn · 01/09/2018 16:44

@kiltedsheep - well, he said it was. He may have just assumed 😂

SurfingOwl · 01/09/2018 18:17

Ouch, your poor DD @UntilTheVeryEnd.

Welcome @purplestar9

That’s a pharmacist I wouldn’t be taking any advice from @Firstbornunicorn since GD does not work that way!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/09/2018 18:43

@positvepineapple im with you on the breathlessness thing - it’s really weird, I remember having it in previous pregnancies but it is odd. Hopefully will pass soon x

UntilTheVeryEnd · 01/09/2018 18:45

@Firstbornunicorn what a bloody cheek! I can assure you that honey and lemon will not give you GD - my pharmacy recommended it as the only option when I had cold in my last pregnancy. I drank it by the bucket and never got GD - I wasn’t slim either haha

minnierose3 · 01/09/2018 20:12

Wondered if anyone on this thread could advise, I was a relatively regular gym goer up until about 9/10 months ago when we started moving house and decorating etc and things fell a bit by the wayside 🙈 but have picked it up again lately and also started C25K with some friends.... Do you think I should stop now? Was only about 3 weeks in and even though I'm ok fitness wise I'm definitely not a runner!! I really don't want to tell the other girls my news.....

sakuramiyagi · 01/09/2018 20:33

@minnierose3 I only just started C25K just before I got my BFP. I'm not going to stop, I don't think it could do any damage as it's easy and builds up gradually.

Others may contradict me though.

mayago · 01/09/2018 20:38

I'd keep going @minnierose3 before you don't have the energy for it 😂

@positivepineapple the breathlessness has started this evening, but I'm tired and headachy as well.

I've just put DD to bed in her 'I'm going to be a big sister' shirt, so OH will find out when he gets her up in the morning!! Stupidly (and unnecessarily) nervous here.

minnierose3 · 01/09/2018 20:38

Ahh thank you! Don't want to harm my baby 😕 not even sure who else I can ask?! Feels a bit daft asking a Dr?!? Will probably still go but take it steady and will have to make up an excuse if I need a break x
