@puravida31 I assume I’ve had my booking in appointment.
I’ve met with the midwives in my surgery once and another midwife came to the house a couple of weeks back to fill out my medical information booklet.

Very excited and nervous at the same time for my scan, think it will be a reality check for my partner. He hasn’t really talked about anything to do with the baby since finding out the news at 2 weeks.

My 12 week scan is 11th sept seems like ages away! Feeling so tired today had headaches for last 3 days which is not helping

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever Oh I would defo tell them, but then again i’m a drinker and would definitely be caught out. You’ll still have a brilliant time, and they can still get as pissed as they want!

Not sure when my 12 week scan will ever be! My booking in appt isn’t until I turn exactly 11 weeks (i’m sure of my dates due to private scans) Hoping they manage to arrange it for the week after.

So amazing to see all the lovely scans today! And more amazing to hear all is well. I can't wait to have mine . 1 week today . Will be 13 weeks supposedly just hope they don't push it back as time is slow anyway ! .

Thanks @Gronk27 I did think to myself 'don't forget the Mumsnet mummies!' We went to both parents today to give scan photos then went to Mothercare and John Lewis to start to try and get our heads around how much we've got to consider! Feel shattered now has been a looooong day. All 3 of us will sleep well tonight

Yep I think that's all of us now for today! X

Ladies really precious scans today congratulations!!

I'm 10+4 and have become so emotional since yesterday. Crying when I read things or see them in tv I'm not used to being a sop 😂

My cousin was due no.2 yesterday and her contractions started this evening so excited and nervous for her!!

@HidCat I've heard the nub theory's meant to be accurate if you know what you're doing. I'm not very good at working scans out and I don't think it's very clear on my scan. Its fun guessing though only a few weeks to wait now.

@Sophlou yes, the key thing being if you know what you're doing lol. The same with skull theory I think. I was so confused looking at the images on the screen yesterday though - at one point the sonographer pointed out the the baby was looking out at us and it genuinely looked like an alien! 👽

@Angelmiracle I forgot to post my updated due date I think, will change it and repost the list now.

I am.mostly getting evening sickness at the moment. Last night I had to go to bed at 8pm! Shocking waste of an evening. BUT with the bonus that I am now awake and everyone else is asleep so I get to swan around the house all by myself! A rare treat.

@BadBadBeans my sickness is worst at night too lovely! I hate it!
Scan in just over an hour and baby is not playing ball this morning, I've already sicked up my first pint of water 🙈

@badbadbeans I just had a glass of water not even a pint and even then I was sent to empty half my bladder. So just wanted to say don't feel like you have to keep trying to force down pints and feeling sicky.

Huge congratulations to all those who've had scans recently. Lovely to see all the pictures. Smile

@HidCat DH said the same thing when the baby looked at us during our scan. "Jesus, it looks like an alien!" Said very loudly in tones of absolute horror! Grin Despite frequent references to the Alien films though he is excited.

I'm back to the GP again today. The antibiotics they've prescribed have given me the most appalling migraines and sickness. I phoned hoping they'd just give me an alternative prescription that DH could pick up, but they want to see me again apparently. I can deal with a few side effects but these are totally debilitating so fingers crossed I get something different that's less awful! I've never reacted to antibiotics before. Even when I was on metronidazole (which I think most people feel dreadful with) I was absolutely fine. Anyway, hopefully the next lot will sort me out and I can end my cycle of continuous moaning! Blush After the "Is it safe to drink on these?" debacle of yesterday, perhaps I'll confuse the Drs further by asking if whatever they give me next affects the contraceptive pill... Grin

Wishing everyone luck with their scans today. Me and the OH completely flaked out last night. Today's the day I break the news in my office. We have a birthday in my team so all heading out for pizza at lunch (my third this week 🙊) so will be lovely to finally share the news with everyone. We're a close knit company and I've been there 16 years so they're like another family to me.
