Oh my God, the exhaustion!!! Is it just me? I’m 9+2 and once 3pm rolls around i’m fit for nothing. I don’t remember it being this bad with DD, but it was years ago (She’s 9) I’m taking her to the theatre tonight, performance doesn’t start until 7.30pm. I don’t know how i’m going to do it.

I’ve attached a pic of my scan from yesterday. Baby is facing you, it’s on its side. If you look at where it’s male/female parts would be, there’s a white line. Could that be a penis?!! Or am I totally too early for sex guesses? Gut tells me it’s another girl.

Hi folks, I’m just catching up after being away on holiday - this thread moves so fast! We had a lovely few days in Paris but feeling shattered now, there was a lot of walking around - I think I did more in the last 3 days than I have in the last 3 months! May have to sleep for a week now...

@toastfiend I’m so sorry to hear what you went through, it sounds terrifying. We have some friends living in France who recently had a baby, they describe the French antenatal care as top notch so whilst a horrible experience, it sounds like you would of been in good hands. Sorry the uk side are now confusing matters, I think the midwifes reaction sounds quite insensitive. What are they suggesting you do?

@VillageFete I think screening is up to 13+6 but I'm not 100% so someone else may be able to confirm. I'm sure they should fit you in before that if you want the screening.

I've got my scan tomorrow morning as well! I'm anxious too!

@ballanj @marmite2018 all the best to you too! I'm not sleeping well anyway at the moment. DH can sleep through anything haha! I can't wait anymore. Surprised how nervous I am.

@villagefete yes that does look like a genital tubercle/nub to me, I've done far too much research into the nub theory since my scan last week! But you need to be able to see the angle of it in relation to the spine to make a guess I think so not sure it would be possible. I posted mine to a forum on Facebook where midwives and sonographer and such people can guess if you're interested though, they'd know far more than me! The unanimous opinion on there is that I'm having another boy so getting my head around that idea.

I'm somewhere into week 9/10. Sonographer just told me baby was measuring at about 9 weeks and then sent me on my merry way so I have no idea where I am now.. little bit frustrating but never mind. I'm so hungry. I could literally eat constantly. Did anyone else get really hungry around this time? I'm assuming baby is having a growth spurt.
I know you shouldn't restrict yourself when pregnant but I'm really trying to limit how much weight I gain as I get married in 8 weeks time!

Hi @Marmite2018 👋🏼 wishing you lots of luck tomorrow too! What time is yours? Mines at 9:20 so at least no more waiting around tomorrow. Nervous and want to get excited but trying not to allow myself at the same time

@villagefete it's not just you, I've never been this exhausted before! Or this sick, I've only thrown up once but the nausea is constant and I've lost 10 lbs so far. Struggling to drink enough and scared of becoming dehydrated. But it will pass

Lovely scan pic! I have my first scan on Monday and I can't wait!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday a bit late at 13 and 4 days. They've put me back two days, was lovely to see the baby wriggling around.
I'm still having spotting but its old blood and only when I wipe. As I've I've had 2 scans in 4 days I feel reassured that the baby's ok it's been going on for 5 days so I think I'll contact the midwife again tomorrow.
@toastfiend I'm with you with the moaning when people ask how I am, I think they'd wished they'd never asked. I would be cautious definitely go with the French Doctors advice.
@Murphyrocks I've been reading about the nub theory but I'm useless at spotting it have no idea of what I'm looking at can you see anything? I've booked a gender scan at 16 weeks and I'm dying to know.

Sorry haven’t been active, thread moves so fast am finding it hard to keep up and reply!
Want to say congrats to all the lovely scan pics, love seeing them. Mine is on the 14th sept so a little while yet to wait.

Can’t wait to find out what I’m having too @sophlou , I have a boy already so secretly hoping for a girl although pretty sure it will be a boy!

@Murphyrocks Oh do you think it looks like male bits! Do you think at 9 weeks there’d be some accuracy? The baby is on its side so you can’t see it in relation to the spine, but because it’s a sticky out white thing I assumed it could be a penis? I asked the Sonographer who laughed and said it’s much too early to tell. I have a feeling it’s a girl, I think because we had sex 2 days before ovulation and they say girl sperm lives longer.

@Villagefete 9 weeks is too early for the nub theory I'm afraid! Needs to be at least 11 weeks, ideally as close as possible to 14 weeks for maximum accuracy. All babies at that stage have a genital sticky out thing, it's the angle of it that's relevant but you can't tell that from your pic! But yes 2 days before slightly favours a girl according to the Shettles method for gender swaying. We did it at - 4, - 3 and - 1 so bases well and truly covered either way!

@Sophlou I'm afraid I can't spot a nub on your scan pic, but that gestation is about perfect for the nub theory so if you're interested it might be worth posting it on that Facebook page to see what the experts think?

After a week or so feeling better (still tired in myself but less disgusted by all food & smells), I feel like I've taken a step back again as now ravenously hungry all the time, feeling sick as soon as I get hungry and back to being so tired I want to sleep at 5pm. Have to keep reminding myself that its a good thing as I spent last week worrying that there must be something wrong.
