cardboard I’m 10 weeks today and feeling a lot better than I did too. I had the same with my DD but still struggling to remain zen! You wish for it to stop then worry about it stopping, what’re we like?!

sophlou Good luck with your scan!

Minichuch · 25/08/2018 12:24

@LovelyFishy @cardboard33 10 weeks here too and totally get the not feeling pregnant as nausea has disappeared! Feel a bit better that it's not just me it's happened to!

Murphyrocks · 25/08/2018 12:32

@cardboard33 I'm so sorry to hear that, sounds like you're taking it all in your stride which is amazing! I felt worst 5-8 weeks too, same as last time with ds, got gradually better from 8 weeks and now at nearly 13 I have a good scan under my belt and feel almost normal!

Tiffbump · 25/08/2018 12:39

Hi ladies newbie here 🙋🏻‍♀️ 9+3 with 3rd due date 28/03/19 ☺️

VillageFete · 25/08/2018 12:39

@cardboard33 Well it sounds like you have it all under control! Great that you have a solid plan in place.

Yes, i’m 8+5 today and don’t feel too bad... it’s so worrying Confused I have a reassurance scan booked on Tuesday, so am counting down the minutes. I just cannot bloody wait to get to 12 weeks. I might actually breathe a sigh of relief then. I feel like i’m living in constant fear at the minute!

Wineandchoccy · 25/08/2018 12:40

Received my results from the combined tests this morning and I am low risk so I’m happy

puravida31 · 25/08/2018 13:15

Hope it goes ok @Sophlou

@wineandchoccy that’s great news!

Sophlou · 25/08/2018 13:41

All was ok strong heart beat, the baby was moving. There was no obvious reason for the bleeding so most likely the UTI. I'm so relieved was well worth the money. I'm not going to moan about feeling sick and miserable with this pregnancy anymoreSmile

VillageFete · 25/08/2018 13:43

@Sophlou So relieved for you!! Gorgeous scan pic. You get some rest today!

BadBadBeans · 25/08/2018 13:49

@cardboard33 Wow, what a huge amount you have to deal with / take into consideration. Really good news that the tumour hasn't grown. Fingers crossed that you will be able to have that second baby too. I have a friend who had testicular cancer as a teenager - he had his sperm frozen and has just had a baby through IVF aged 30. It is wonderful that you will be able to have your eggs frozen just in case.

Congrats on the results @Wineandchoccy. Congratulations on your scans @Shampooeeee, @MrsLCW and @TheWanderlust.

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever congrats to you too - and wow on the dates change! Did you suspect that might be the case at all?

I'm 10 weeks today and still feeling sick, but it has definitely reduced somewhat in the last couple of days, so to those of you worrying about symptoms tailing off at this point, you aren't alone!

@Sophlou thinking of you at your scan. I'm so glad you decided to get one earlier. It would have been awful having to wait until Tuesday.

HidCat · 25/08/2018 15:07

@TheWanderlust so cute - the little monkey!

@Sophlou I'm so relieved that everything is fine and glad you got reassurance. Phew!

@cardboard33 wow that's a lot of planning!

@Tiffbump welcome and congratulations!

Marmite2018 · 25/08/2018 15:09

Ladies, embrace those symptoms easing off! I am 12 weeks and being sick twice a day still! I am feeling much more energetic and find the nausea more manageable now. Just trying to manage my fluids more as I'm getting bad head aches and I'm sure it's from being dehydrated, but water makes me sick!!!

@Sophlou so pleased to hear everything was okay for you.

@cardboard33 you're amazing. My good friend was diagnosed with breast cancer during her pregnancy and opted for chemo during pregnancy. It's certainly been a challenge but she has her gorgeous baby boy now and has finally finished chemo. She's my inspiration and so are you!

Tiffbump · 25/08/2018 15:39

@marmite2018 thank you ☺️

Wineandchoccy · 25/08/2018 19:58

I thought I was feeling better today until I queued up in a fish & chip shop the smell made me feel very queasy Sad

BadBadBeans · 25/08/2018 20:04

Yeah I also take back what I said about mine easing. I couldn't open the fridge without retching at the (probably quite mild) smell of something in there this evening!

MrsLCW · 25/08/2018 20:04

@Wineandchoccy I'm sat in the Indians currently feeling exactly the same 😂😩

Wineandchoccy · 25/08/2018 20:16

I am now reading my pregnancy book it says from the 15th week you will glow so here’s hoping Grin

Sophlou · 25/08/2018 20:40

Thanks everyone a real relieve. Positive thinking from now on Smile

wordsmithereens · 25/08/2018 21:00

@Sophlou, so glad your scan turned out so well - what a gorgeous pic, too!
@cardboard33, no idea how you manage with all of this so calmly, but it's very impressive. Hoping your pregnancy is affected as little as possible and that all continues to go well.

@Marmite2018 I'm still ailing at 13 weeks, so you're not alone. Feels like I'm having spells of it getting better, then followed by really crappy days. Fingers crossed it peters out for both of us soon!

ballanj · 25/08/2018 22:49

@Sophlou glad your scan went okay.

Sorry to hear those who are still suffering with symptoms, or on the opposite end, worrying about them easing off. Don't know about anyone else but mine very much come and go and one day can feel an awful lot better than the next, no rhyme or reason. Maybe babies are already preparing us for a lifetime of keeping us on our toes and dealing with the unexpected!

toastfiend · 26/08/2018 02:46

I think it might not be good news for me today. We're in France on holiday and I've woken up to lots of bleeding and clots. Currently on way to the hospital. I'm absolutely terrified. I'm 13 weeks, this shouldn't be happening. Sad

orangekitkat13 · 26/08/2018 03:08

@toastfiend I'm really sorry to hear this, hope everything is ok.

Funnybunnyfluff · 26/08/2018 03:41

@toastfiend I am keeping everything crossed for you. Visiting a foreign hospital must be scary enough. My thoughts are with you and your DP.

toastfiend · 26/08/2018 05:30

Thank you. The hospital were great and saw me immediately, scan showed that bean is OK, thank God, but I have (I think major, but there was a bit of a language barrier) placenta praevia (low lying placenta) which has ruptured slightly. I've been asked to stay in overnight and then they'll have another look at me tomorrow. I've also been told off for doing too much and told I will have to be on bed rest for several days before they let me travel home, so I'm also going to have to change my flight back as we were meant to be leaving Wednesday and have been told we shouldn't travel that early. When we do get home I'll have to go for another scan and then assess it from there. The Dr today gave a fairly stark warning though that I either rest and deliver a healthy baby or don't rest, have another bleed and probably lose it. I don't know where this leaves me with work or anything. I don't even know how or when I'll get home. I'm very relieved bean is OK but also feeling really scared and anxious about the future of this pregnancy.

Shampooeeee · 26/08/2018 06:23

Oh toastfiend that sounds so scary. I’m glad baby is ok. You listen to those stern French docs and get lots of rest.
