At EPU there was 2 of them neither sonographers, one gynae and one training so they were talking alot and spent ages up there with internal! I heard them mumble there was a small bleed but nothing I needed to know about but at private she said she was very surprised it hadn't been mentioned. Have another scan a week today when I'll be 8+6 so fingers crossed it's gone or shrank and baby is good!! xx

Maydot · 03/10/2018 12:29

Don’t give up hope @frankiefumbles, I’m on my 3rd pregnancy and fingers crossed this time all is going well.
This thread is proof it can happen!! xxxx

Maydot · 03/10/2018 12:36

Fingers crossed for you @xJune88 xx

frankiefumbles · 03/10/2018 13:25

@xJune88 good luck

I booked it. Can't bear the unknown so at least this will provide me with one known and hopefully clarify if an mc on the flight is likely. Which tbh I'd like to eliminate as an option. I can handle it if it occurs when I arrive

kisses4u · 03/10/2018 15:00

@frankiefumbles it's a tough decision but I think you are right to want to know so that you can either join in with activities or not. I can't blame you for that, especially the cocktails! Sounds like an amazing trip! Not jealous at all 😆 hope you get some reassurance at your scan, when is it?

@xJune88 hopefully you'll get the reassurance you need from the scan, I was told the bleeds can self resolve and be reabsorbed, so fx that's the case for us both. I've only had the bleed on one day (almost 2 weeks ago now) and nothing since, so I'm feeling a little positive that things are looking fairly hopeful for Friday. Fx
When is your scan?

Not long now for you either now @Pancakes7 😊

xJune88 · 03/10/2018 16:18

Thankyou @maydot @funkiefumbles Goodluck to you too. @kisses4u mine is next Wednesday I've only had 2 bouts of brown discharge not even spotting so fingers crossed it was to do with implantation and baby will be ok. Can't go through it a third time I really can't. Don't think I'd ever be able to try again xx

dreaminofholidays · 03/10/2018 16:31

@frankiefumbles I can completely understand your point of view. We go away tomorrow, just for a couple of days but I had this thing about having a scan beforehand. I also felt it I got bad news being away with hubbie and the dogs would be help with the sadness so I wanted to know beforehand. That meant I had a scan at 6+6 which is quite early but I am glad I did it.

When are you having your scan?

@Junex88 that all sounds very positive. Hope this week goes nice and fast for you so your scan comes around quickly.

I haven't ruled out going for another reassurance scan in a few weeks. How many week's is it that the baby looks more like a baby? xxx

Happysbno4 · 03/10/2018 17:03

My follow up scan after my second bleed at EPU unit Thursday. Still losing the ild brown stuff which they couldn't find a reason for two weeks ago.

I was talking to my sister in law who has lost in the past about just how hard this is. I'm so luck I've got amazing support.

I keep checking in and its amazing to see all of your good news and support.

I love our penguin huddle. Xx

Jessabean · 03/10/2018 17:57

@frankiefumbles Don't think anyone could blame you at all for that logic. I had similar this time. Even though previous pregnancy I had seen heartbeat and then things stopped a few days afterwards so I knew I wouldn't really be reassured by the scan I decided to do an early one at 8 weeks this time anyway- my reason being I was feeling so crap and didn't want to keep struggling with exams work and feeling like shit if it was all for nothing- I think it's fair enough to be a little selfish with this stuff- this process is hard! Hope the scan goes well for you fingers crossed! When will it be?

@xJune88 hope all goes well and time till your scan passes quickly!

Jessabean · 03/10/2018 17:59

@Happysbno4 sorry your still having to deal with the worry of it. When is your follow up scan?

kisses4u · 03/10/2018 21:36

Will my scan on Friday be abdominal at 8+2 do you think? I can't remember with my DS if it was abdominal or Internal? If the latter I'd like to be prepared as I find it a bit uncomfortable, what are other people's experiences?

frankiefumbles · 03/10/2018 23:31

@kisses4u I am hoping for an external scan, from what I can see often they can get a result externally beyond 7 weeks. Would have thought that this would be even more certain after 8 weeks. Depends a bit on build. I've got a bit of a Ben and Jerry's baby going on atm however I don't think the bit over where the baby is is especially fatty Blush

Thanks for all your comments. I'm going in late morning this Friday. Slightly nervous as DM and DH both say I shouldn't, but I feel I should.

@xJune88 the fact that it's brown is good, but I can understand Wednesday feels a world away at the moment. Sending hugs. I know what it's like to have two strikes against your name and worried about the third.

Martydog · 04/10/2018 20:41

@kisses4u good luck for the morning. I would have thought it will be external.

Pancakes7 · 04/10/2018 23:11

@kisses4u good luck for tomorrow

dreaminofholidays · 05/10/2018 05:41

@kisses4u hope the scan goes well.
I went to first scan for my early scan and they said before 9 weeks it's internal but I don't know if they have different equipment to the EPU. xxx

Jessabean · 05/10/2018 06:38

Good luck @kisses4u & @frankiefumbles with your scans today!

Pancakes7 · 05/10/2018 08:00

Good luck @frankiefumbles

Pancakes7 · 05/10/2018 08:02

We got home last night. Feeling really anxious for my scan tomorrow. I really really want baby to be ok. I'm scared if it'll be the end of my journey. Today will be long.

kisses4u · 05/10/2018 08:08

Thanks everyone. I'm nervously waiting to go in now 😬

frankiefumbles · 05/10/2018 08:17

@kisses4u well done for getting there so early! I couldn't commit to anything too much before 11!! Bleurgh!

Fingers crossed for you.

@Pancakes7 not long now.

We are at the conference now and DH had me up til 2am helping with his presentation. I cried last night at about 1.30 and he said why are YOU crying. Think of how I feel!!! I’ve got to give the presentation. If I had been more awake he would have had quite the bollocking for that.

Men. Bastards!

Pancakes7 · 05/10/2018 08:22

@frankiefumbles Omg! Men sometimes! So oblivious to how much this affects us. I hope the presentation all goes ok. So you're already away. Did you have a scan in the end? Sorry very forgetful atm.

Maydot · 05/10/2018 08:35

Good luck with all the scans today!!!

HalfBloodPrincess · 05/10/2018 08:38

Hope the scans go well.

Just received my appointment for my 12 week scan - 5th November. Doesn’t feel like it’s that far away. Gonna try not to think about it til then 😫

kisses4u · 05/10/2018 09:31

Measuring 7+2 so a week behind predictions. But all is well. Little heartbeat. My bleed is still there, but it's not had effect on the pregnancy and they are no longer worried about it. No follow up. Just normal mw care now and 12 weeks scan will be my next hurdle to cross 🤞

@kisses4u great news!

I hope it's a good outcome for @Pancakes7 and @frankiefumbles too.
