@xJune88 I'm the same with the fear of another mmc. I've had lots of symptoms but I did last time and still had mmc. Booked scan for 7 +3. It's less than 2 weeks now. Might book another for 9/10 weeks

xJune88 · 24/09/2018 20:51

@pancakes7 it really is beyond awful. Really hope we both get our healthy happy babies this time round! Xx

Pancakes7 · 24/09/2018 23:18

@xJune88 Thanks. I hope we do too. X

Pancakes7 · 25/09/2018 14:46

How is everyone today? I'm counting down, 10 days till scan. I'm 5 weeks +6 today.

xJune88 · 25/09/2018 15:41

@pancakes7 had another mixed day I keep feeling more positive but something keeps stopping me and reminding me of the past don't want to get excited or be happy incase it all goes wrong again. How are you? I'm in 2 minds about booking a scan now or nearer 8 weeks when it will have little limbs but I'd rather know now if something wasn't ok. Argh x

dreaminofholidays · 25/09/2018 16:35

@pancakes7 I'm feeling similar to you all. Just so worried and anxious that it will all go wrong again.
I'm 6+1 today. I have ended up booking a scan for 6+6 which was the latest I could get before our couple of days away. Fingers crossed that will give me some reassurance. I'm counting down the days but also terrified this scan will show it's all over.

I know all this has a big affect on our other halves but I am again astounded by how much women go through. It's on my mind so much but I have to pretend everything is normal. Hadn't really considered this aspect of it before x

Pancakes7 · 25/09/2018 16:50

@xJune88 Good idea to book a scan for reassurance. I booked mine almost straight away. @Dreaminofholidays Yes the emotional and physical impact on women is awful and much more than on men. However it does impact than too. I think it's hard as they are helpless to a point. My DH said his biggest worry is seeing me that upset again.

Pancakes7 · 25/09/2018 16:50

Also got really bad wave of nausea this afternoon. Thank God it's nearly 5!! Eugh... bring on my joggers

Martydog · 25/09/2018 17:06

So did I @pancakes7 in front of my ta and my class and they don’t know I’m pregnant yet.

HidCat · 25/09/2018 18:12

@Pancakes7 @xJune88 @dreaminofholidays I hope you're all doing ok. The early anxiety is horrible, you just have to try to stay positive or at least find a distraction.

@Martydog at least you can blame it on bug season!

Pancakes7 · 25/09/2018 18:15

@Martydog Oh no, I hope you feel better now. Did anyone notice? I'm on diet ginger beer. I don't actually like ginger but hoping it'll help.

kisses4u · 25/09/2018 18:28

Hey everyone, lots of anxiety here too today, feeling pretty helpless while I wait for my viability scan in 10 days. I'm 6+6 today. So I'll be just over 8 weeks at the scan. My GP rang me today to suggest I go back off sick until the scan as she was concerned by the size of the hemotoma (which caused the bleed) it's currently bigger than the actual sac so could engulf unless it shrinks and I will either bleed some more or it will be reabsorbed. It's troubling me knowing I have this floating around in my womb next to the potential pregnancy?! Anyone with any experience of sub chorionic hemotomas?

Pancakes7 · 25/09/2018 18:46

@Kisses4u Oh no this must add to your anxiety. Good your gp phoned you. Are you signed off sick now then? How long for? Think positive. I'm sure it'll all be ok.

xJune88 · 25/09/2018 21:31

Booked a scan for Monday when I'll be 7+4 exact same saying as previous scan at exact same place. I left that scan reassured that baby was right size and strong heartbeat. Bricking it. X

frankiefumbles · 25/09/2018 22:30

@kisses4u I don't have personal experience but on my first I wondered if that's what I had. There are some quite good videos on YouTube where ladies have them and manage them fine and have healthy babies. Hope things settle down for you in the next few days

Pancakes7 · 26/09/2018 08:04

@xJune88 Oh gosh, you had a healthy scan last time? That's what I'm scared of this time. What if I have a good scan, then it goes wrong? I never had a healthy scan last time.

PurpleFushia · 26/09/2018 08:21

Morning everyone, off for my scan this morning at 11 wks 3 days - feeling very anxious but one way or the other I will know what is happening. Feel like symptoms have really lessened, even my tiredness has lifted a bit, which is great but very nerve-wracking - I guess it's the case for most people by now that the placenta has kicked in a bit? I definitely remember with DS feeling a lot better in 2nd trimester, but then I also felt better with my MC and then it was a bad sign. Just keeping fingers crossed that it all looks ok. Will update later.

lolacola13 · 26/09/2018 08:34

Morning @PurpleFushia ! Remember my wobble the other day as we're both 11 and 3.. my symptoms have eased considerably no sickness etc etc im feeling quite good! I ended up having a scan as epu and everything was fine wee bean head was sleeping away curled up and heart flickering away . It's reassuring having sickness I know what u mean but in my case and most others it doesn't mean bad news ! Good luck xoxoxoxo

PurpleFushia · 26/09/2018 08:40

@lolacola13 that is really great to hear you're the same with the lack of sickness, thanks for your reply! Lots of the websites etc say it should ease off after 12 weeks so was feeling like it was a bit early but these things must vary. That must have been so reassuring, at this stage you are down to really low risk of MC! Hopefully this will go the same for me today - fingers very firmly crossed.

PassTheAfterEights · 26/09/2018 10:45

Best of luck for the scan @purplefushia hope it is a lovely experience and lots of nice photos to come home with! x

Has anyone got some interesting reading from a legit source about how the placenta kicks in? I'm intrigued on a biological level as to how it makes things feel better. It looks utterly grim so it better have a useful purpose! Whenever people say placenta I can't get it out of my mind that some people save it to eat...

Pancakes7 · 26/09/2018 11:45

@frankiefumbles Googled it and found this www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/pregnancy-week-by-week/in-depth/placenta/art-20044425 looks good. Will read now.

Martydog · 26/09/2018 12:17

Off work today as I woke to bleeding, I have had a scan and they have said they have seen a sac but it’s too early to see anything else. I’m 6 weeks. I have to go back a week on Friday for another scan. Only worry is this is what happened in May and I ended up having to have a d&c as the bean never had a heart beat. I am at home trying not to freak out but it is so hard.

PassTheAfterEights · 26/09/2018 12:21

@martydog huge hug x that's really hard, I would be too but just try to remember every preg is different. Have they offered you a follow up scan? Has bleeding stopped? Hang in there x

xJune88 · 26/09/2018 12:21
