Thank you for your well wishes @Pancakes7 @Jessabean @toomuchtv88
I'm anxious about what tomorrow will bring, but I can't do anything about it. Bleed has stopped and I feel ok, stomach in knots but that's to be expected.
I hope you get a plan of action you are happy with tomorrow @toomuchtv88

frankiefumbles · 20/09/2018 23:22

@kisses4u I so hope it all goes well

@Pancakes7 I leave "home" on 1 Oct (6+7) and conference in London 4/5 (7+3/4) when I'll have the scan. We fly long haul on 6th (7+5) and fly back on 18th (9+3). I would have never planned it this way and to be totally honest I will be "packing" for an mc. I'm hugely worried about embarking on the trip but...it's so hard. I can't cancel it because I worry I'll cancel and MC anyway and lose both but I'm getting quite a lot of pressure from people (!) to cancel it. None of these people have had MCs. Personally I feel what will happen will happen. I don't think the flight will do anything but I'm worried my capacity to keep it together will decrease with tiredness! I'm exactly the same with the fear. It's like a moment of white fear washes over you even though there is no justification. Hormones make it all worse. I'm set off by everything.

So my plan is HCG tests next week. If okay get the scan and try to travel with confidence (or certainty) and then when I get back I guess I'll kind of know a bit more whether it's likely to stay. I'm sorry I come off sounding such a whinger but it seems in real life people aren't really getting it, especially my friends who are pregnant and got pregnant first go. They are full of useful tips. Jeez. "Maybe it's because the last two were boys and you can only carry a girl"....??????!

Pancakes7 · 21/09/2018 00:47

@frankiefumbles Oh that's a long trip. They won't understand if they haven't been through it. They have no idea how lucky that are. Can obky carry girls? What a crazy thing to say. I hate people making up theories. It just happens sometimes. Nothing you can do. The hcg tests, how do you get those? We go to Berlin 1st till 4th October on my cheer up trip which we booked following mmc in May. My scan is after but hopefully it will be a healthy one.

frankiefumbles · 21/09/2018 08:23

@Pancakes7 I first heard about them for the miscarriage to confirm hcg is lowering but actually the Dr said it's a less invasive way to check the pregnancy is progressing. At our surgery you have to speak to a GP first so if you want one, either ask for a phone consultation or see if you can book in to see a GP (any GP) ...say something along the lines of, given previous mc, you are concerned about the pregnancy progressing and you feel your symptoms have eased. You were told last time it was possible to monitor hcg rising normally with two bloods tests and you would like to be referred to the nurse for this for reassurance. See what they say. Blood tests are quite cheap for them. I hope your Dr allows it if you ask. I know with me he's partly taken pity on my because he's dealt with my last two, but I think it's a fairly standard test. Report back if you try to get it! EPU May be able to do it too as a last resort.

Berlin will be lovely! Hopefully not too long a trip and you'll have a chance to really relax once you get there :)

Happysbno4 · 21/09/2018 11:05

Our little bean has a heart beat! Was so not expecting that. No reason for the bleed to be found.
So great news today. Thanks for your support ladies. Just another 32 weeks of worry to go!.

PassTheAfterEights · 21/09/2018 11:18

@Happysbno4 that is FAB news, so happy for you!! Hope you have a more relaxing weekend ahead x

Jessabean · 21/09/2018 12:40

Congratulations @Happysbno4 🎉 That's great news. Obviously just one of those things- they say it is quite common in many normal pregnancies! Hope the remaining weeks of first trimester are less dramatic for you.

Pancakes7 · 21/09/2018 13:37

@Happybsno4 I'm so happy to hear this! How many weeks are you?

frankiefumbles · 21/09/2018 13:39

@Happysbno4 you've made me cry (I promise it's only the hormones...) congrats x

kisses4u · 21/09/2018 15:15

Congrats @Happysbno4

That's great news! So you must be about 8 weeks? They say a bleed at 4, 8 and 12 weeks is common as it's when you'd expect your AF to turn up if you weren't pregnant. That's what I read when googling 'why am I bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant'

I had my scan this morning, was thinking the worse only to be told by the sonographer 'congratulations I can see a pregnancy!' She showed me and I could see a yolk sac. They showed me a large dark sac above it which she said was a pocket of blood, which would explain the bleed.
So I'm booked in for a viability scan on 5th October when I will hopefully be around 8 weeks. So I'm in limbo for a couple of weeks really. But it was the best news I could have asked for today. I'm now off work for at least a week and I will try to rest (as much as one can rest with a toddler)

Pancakes7 · 21/09/2018 15:48

@kisses4u Brilliant news! So glad we are getting good news today. My scan is the 6th.. feeling in limbo too. The waiting is tough. @toomuchtv88 How are you today? Any news? Thinking of you x

dreaminofholidays · 21/09/2018 16:00

@happysbno @kisses4u yay, brilliant news for you both! xxx

Martydog · 21/09/2018 17:41

Great news about the scans.
I rang the midwife this morning to get my first appointment up here you go around 6/7 weeks. They can’t fit me in until I’m 8 weeks, I didn’t want to say with the last 2 pregnancy’s I didn’t get to 8 weeks. Fingers crossed the bean will still be going strong. 🤞

Happysbno4 · 21/09/2018 18:58

@kisses4u 7 weeks 3 days....On my mmc in may that was the exact date I measured at at 9 weeks with no heartbeat.
Thinking of you.. Its all good today x

This is such a rollacoster it feels amazing to know you are all so supportive.

Thank you still weeks until we are in the clear but oh my the happy tears fell today. Maybe I can now start believing this will happen.

Pancakes7 · 21/09/2018 19:41

Anyone else's boobs and ribs hurting? Apparently internet says its your uterous expanding and your ribs moving. Crazy. I don't remember the rib pain last time. Hopefully a good sign.

HidCat · 21/09/2018 21:01

Just catching up after a rough week.

@Happysbno4 congratulations on a good scan. Fingers crossed it all progresses well.

@kisses4u congratulations to you too. Wishing you all the best as things move along.

frankiefumbles · 21/09/2018 21:13

@Pancakes7 snap on boobs and ribs.

I raise you to the Poop Twinge. I get this every time I need a number 2. To top, every time there's a fart ready to come out and it twinges I think it's game over for the pregnancy. So not only am I paranoid, I'm quite a catch. Apparently DH likes how I raise the sheets with a morning fart first thing every day, without fail. Better out than in. Other than the baby. Keep the baby in....

Pancakes7 · 21/09/2018 21:29

@frankiefumbles Haha the joys of pregnancy!

kisses4u · 21/09/2018 22:27

@frankiefumbles 😂

HidCat · 22/09/2018 08:05

@frankiefumbles 😂😂😂

frankiefumbles · 22/09/2018 09:03

Reading that back this morning it's almost like I was drunk. Sadly I was sober Blush

kisses4u · 22/09/2018 10:16

Quick question for you all re. Vits. What are ppl taking and why?
Obviously folic, but what else?
I was taking a few things (I still am but have stopped one) so I'm having vitamin c, zinc, folic, co-enzyme and b complex. I stopped the b complex when I read that it can cause nerve damage to the foetus... I looked on the tub and it showed I was taken by 50mg daily of b6, and b12. The daily recommended dose is 1.2mg!!! I was horrified and now blaming this for my troubles. I've also read that some women are prescribed b6 25mg 3x a day for treatment of severe morning sickness... so I'm lost.
I think just need a multivitamin which will cover all bases. Which ones are you all taking and what reasons did you choose what you chose? Thanks 🙏

Pancakes7 · 22/09/2018 11:55

@kisses4u I am taking Pregnacare as it includes everything you need. I was taking folic and vit d already as previously midwife said thats what O needed to take so I continued with this since mmc. I have been taking folic for over a year as gp said to start months before even ttc. I did start taking vit e as I read it increases progesterone which stops mc but just the other day I read that it can cause heart defects. So I'm sticking to pregnacare as you can't go wrong.

PurpleFushia · 22/09/2018 13:18

@kisses4u I'm of the same mind as @Pancakes7 - you can't go wrong with a multivitamin for pregnancy. I'm also taking pregnacare but I think there are others which are cheaper. If I get past 12 months though I'm going to stop them and just take vitamin D and iron if I need it, there's some thoughts that folic acid can cause tongue tie which ds had quite badly, and you don't need folic acid after the first trimester as the neural tube has formed and closed.

I'm feeling very anxious today - tomorrow I reach 11 weeks which was when the bleeding started with my mmc. Not sure how to distract myself from it but trying to keep busy. At least I have the scan booked for Wednesday.

PurpleFushia · 22/09/2018 13:23

12 weeks not months! 😂
