@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking Have you tried ringing the midwives directly? I did that and they put me through to a scanning midwife who told me the results over the phone. They were lovely about it, o was fretting as I'd had a missed call from
No caller I'd and thought it was them to say I was high risk (but it wasn't.)

Although if they're not bothering to get in touch with you that must mean they're all fine.

powkin · 13/08/2018 19:02

GP tried to call me on Friday and again today after doing some pre and post antiobiotic screening tests for a UTI and they want me to come in to “discuss the results”. So have to go in tomorrow. They did a dipstick at the hospital today that was fine so trying not to worry (eg whatever was there may have cleared up) but then I’m freaking out that they found something that wouldn’t show up on a quick test. I have no idea what that would be but it’s hard not to worry if they won’t tell you over the phone :(

RedStef1983 · 13/08/2018 19:08

Had my 12 week scan today, to be told the dates were wrong and I'm measuring at 10 weeks. So another appointment booked for 2 weeks time so they can date properly and do the abnormalities test. Was lovely to see the baby-to-be on the screen though 😊

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 13/08/2018 19:15

@reallyshouldnamechangemore

Not long after I posted I got a text saying my results same back as normal. No numbers with it though, so I don’t know how normal..

I don’t have a midwife as such yet, they are all through the gp surgery, and there is no permanent one yet, so it’s just who’s filling in on that particular day. I can’t get past the go receptionist ☹️

Thanks for replying though, starting to feel a bit invisible in here! 😊

Lookingforadvice123 · 13/08/2018 19:26

Notasgreenascabbagelooking I honestly wouldn't wonder about the numbers. When I got my results back with DS 3 years ago it just said "low risk" (I understand it's now different and the letter contains the risk number).

My friend last week got low risk, 1 in 380. Pretty sure she wishes she didn't know the number as although she's fine about it now, it kind of ruined the scan day for her!

Lookingforadvice123 · 13/08/2018 19:28

Dragonflew ground flax seed on your cereal is amazing for constipation.

maxiflump1 · 13/08/2018 19:28

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking I'm 14+3 and I think I've been feeling flutters for the past few days. Pretty sure it's baby and not wind! Didn't feel DS until 18 weeks but they do say you feel it earlier in subsequent pregnancies. I had forgotten how exciting it is to feel baby move: makes it seem more real!!

@DragonFlew glad you finally got your scan date: good luck for weds xx

Leonora94 · 13/08/2018 19:48

@DragonFlew I was due on the 24th but I had a scan 2 weeks ago (to early to do the tests) and they changed the EDD 21st 😊

I can’t remember who said about the headaches but I hear you I actually woke up with one today...I’m trying to limit screen time in the hope that helps xx

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 13/08/2018 19:54

@lookingforadvice123

This is true, I’m not sure what numbers would make me feel safe.. hopefully the NIPT scan will put my mind at rest!

@Maxiflump1

I honestly can’t remember what it felt like, I don’t think I’m imagining it though... 😬

Baby160P · 13/08/2018 21:13

I was in a car accident today middle of a car pile up, (not my fault) I have whip lash and a bruised back but have our 12 week scan tomorrow so the hospital didn't want to scan today. Hope bean is ok!! 😢😩 xx

bubblybrit · 13/08/2018 21:50

Hope you and baby are ok @Baby160P. Must have been so frightening. My cousin was in a car accident at 16 weeks. Doctor at the hospital said that babies are a lot more resilient than we give them credit for so I’m sure that the little one will be ok.

craftymum01 · 13/08/2018 21:51

@Baby160P oh you poor thing! That must have been really scary. I’m sure little one is snug as a bug in there. Hope you make a speedy recovery, whiplash is horrible

Baby160P · 13/08/2018 22:02

Thanks ladies, I was standstill in traffic and the car behind me (60mph Road) wasn't stopping I could see in my mirror.

Police said she admitted her flip flop got stuck and she couldn't break.

I'll never wear flip flops and drive again!!!

I'm stubborn with everything so hate tablets of all forms when pregnant do declines paracetamol. Hoping ice will have a great miracle cure.

bubblybrit · 13/08/2018 22:12

@Baby160P. I’ve never driven in flip flops for that reason. Can’t think of anything more terrifying than it getting stuck and not being able to break. Glad you are ok and no serious injuries!

craftymum01 · 13/08/2018 22:19

First cravings today. Fresh orange juice, which bizarrely was one of the worst things for my morning sickness a few weeksvsgo

Baby160P · 13/08/2018 22:27

@bubblybrit it's actually illegal which I didn't realise. Even to the point it invalidates your insurance!

bubblybrit · 14/08/2018 03:31

@Baby160P. Oh really. I didn’t know that although it makes sense.

DragonFlew · 14/08/2018 07:07

@Baby160P how awful - I hope you are ok. Good luck for your scan today!

Is it just me & @leonora94 tomorrow then we've all had our 12 week scans? Anyone still waiting?

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/08/2018 07:13

Oh my god Baby160p how scary for you!!!!

Now I'm not one to usually say this but, I would make a claim on your insurance. My sister had whiplash when a driver went into the back of her and she got about £3k. It's not like you're pretending as you're injured (I would never advocate it if you weren't!) plus you're pregnant, that makes it even scarier.

My scan is at 10.05am, I had such a crap night's sleep assuming because I'm worried! Woke up in the middle of the night and was awake for hours.

Baby160P · 14/08/2018 07:31

@Lookingforadvice123 the hospital even said that. Thank you.

I have been up since 5, I am in so much pain I don't know what to do with myself except sit and cry!! 😭 oh and I had a bath 5-7!

Doesn't help I'm even more anxious about today's scan now too, 2pm couldn't come faster xx

Baby160P · 14/08/2018 07:31

Thank you @DragonFlew xx

DeliberatelyGinger · 14/08/2018 07:40

@DragonFlew my scans not till next Wednesday! But then I'm not due til 27th. It might happen today as I was referred to the antenatal unit after I found a tiny bit of blood at the weekend. Trying. Not to worry as it was so tiny

MrsY87 · 14/08/2018 07:44

@Baby160P how scary for you, hope everything is ok at your scan today.

@DeliberatelyGinger hope the epu scan you to put your mind at rest. I've had quite a bit of bleeding and everything was fine at my 12w scan last week. Good luck

DragonFlew · 14/08/2018 07:56

@DeliberatelyGinger let us know how you get on. Hope all ok

AliceRR · 14/08/2018 08:11

@Baby160P That must be so scary. Hope everything is ok today
