@Since2016 thank you!!
Ahh okay cool thanks yeah they didn't seem bothered about it at all It was more me worrying ahaha lol

Thank you xxx

Alicejj8x · 13/08/2018 10:17

@AliceRR
Thanks

So she said to me that I would get a letter in the post within 7 days and that if it was high risk I would get a phone call In 3 days.

She said th higher the number the lower the risk

I am sure yours will be all ok xx

Since2016 · 13/08/2018 10:24

My scan was a week ago and I’m still waiting for my letter! Two weeks is the norm. I’m not worried - no phone call = low risk. Measurement was well within normal range too. Did you get a scan report at the time?

AliceRR · 13/08/2018 10:33

I thought I had a scan report but, thinking about it, I don’t remember seeing it in my maternity folder yesterday... I’ll have to check again when I get home

She said to me anything above(?) 1 in 125 is low but I read in my notes that above 1 in 150 is low. I’m not too worried but obviously will feel better having confirmation it is low risk

Fiep · 13/08/2018 12:41

@somethingfromnothing yes, that was me! I can add people to the Facebook group if you pm me your email address :)

clairehr · 13/08/2018 12:42

@Alicejj8x Congrats, lovely scan!

@AliceRR I got my results by post in 4 days, but was told at scan that I'd get a letter if low risk, or phone call if high risk, within a week, think it just depends on your hospital.

Lookingforadvice123 · 13/08/2018 13:18

Oh boo about the discount!

Alicejjx lovely scan! I wouldn't worry about the date, from knowledge early scans are just a measurement ie CRL, whereas the dating scan is more accurate as it's based on bones, skull size, more details basically. Sucks to be put back a few days though purely from the mental side!

Alicerr I would say if you haven't had a phone call by the end of tomorrow then you're low risk, you would hear by then, so don't worry if you don't get a letter, I think it can vary how quickly you get it.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 13/08/2018 13:32

I had my nuchal scan and bloods done on the 1st August... I’ve had no results ☹️

I called my surgery to see if they had them but they said the mw would discuss them with me at the next appointment, that’s not till 4th September.

I’m booked in for the NIPT test next Monday, so hopefully will get those results sooner 🤞🏼

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 13/08/2018 13:44

On a different note... I’m sure I’ve felt movement a couple of times over the last week. I have no idea if I’m imagining it...?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is my third pregnancy, and they do say you feel it earlier in subsequent pregnancies, however... my youngest child is 10 years old, so would that still count? I know my stomach muscles are still fucked from my first and second pregnancies 🙄😩

I can’t remember what it felt like all those years ago!! Anyone else feeling anything or am I just going crackers? I’m 13+4 today...

powkin · 13/08/2018 13:45

Had my obstetrician appointment today, he was nice and knew something about EDS so that was reassuring. They are going to refer me to physio (so relieved as I can’t afford private) and to the consultant anaesthetist so I feel quite relieved about that as this was my major concern. I’m going to see them again at 35 weeks to see how my body is holding up (hopefully I haven’t popped by then!)

He noticed midwife got my 16w appointment date wrong as it’s in October not September so need to speak to her!

Alicejj8x · 13/08/2018 14:52

@Lookingforadvice123
Thank you!
Yes it really does it's like I've got to relive the 13 week mark again lol

Yeah she said it was all perfect so I guess the other two scans I had could of been abit off here and there :)

hayley013 · 13/08/2018 16:02

@fizzledays yeah I've had loads of growing pains, especially when getting up too fast and I'm not too comfy in bed, my back aches a little x

hayley013 · 13/08/2018 16:10

I used a wrap with DD then a connecta and loved both. Defo reccomend using s sling library first to see what suits, I tried loads that were no good for us. Not sure on what pram to go for, didn't use DD's a lot for what we paid for it.

I was told I'd get a call within 4 days about blood results and if not high risk, a letter within 2 weeks. But was advised to phone if nothing by 2 weeks as it's always good to check the tests were completed x

DragonFlew · 13/08/2018 16:19

My scan is on Wednesday!! Eeek! Suddenly so nervous! But excited!!

Leonora94 · 13/08/2018 16:38

@DragonFlew snap my scans also Wednesday! Can’t wait! 😬

@hayley013 I’ve had lots over the weekend it’s seemed to ease off a bit now, my lower back/hips have also been really achey! Glad it’s not just me x

Alicejj8x · 13/08/2018 17:50

@Leonora94 @DragonFlew

Good luck with Wednesday scans 😘

twiglet · 13/08/2018 17:53

Has anyone had fairly constant headaches? I had some around 6 weeks but they seem to have come back with a vengeance at 14 weeks last 2 days paracetamol isn't doing anything trying to drink liquids etc.

Any ideas?

frenchgal · 13/08/2018 17:55

Hi All.
This is my first baby and my EDD is 26 Feb 2019. I am 12 weeks tomorrow.
I live in London and am 31 yo.
Did a panorama and found out last week the gender (a boy).

Question for all of you: do you carry on taking vitamins after 12 weeks ?

DragonFlew · 13/08/2018 17:58

@leonora94 yay! What's your current EDD? I'm 24th Feb so will be 12+3 on weds. Obviously expecting it to change a little!

DragonFlew · 13/08/2018 17:59

@frenchgal congratulations! After 12 weeks you only really need vitamin D - providing you don't have any deficiencies and have a healthy diet. However I am taking pregnacare which contains vit d as well as many others and it is safe to use throughout pregnancy - as advised by mw

frenchgal · 13/08/2018 18:01

Thanks @DragonFlew !

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 13/08/2018 18:02

How much stock do you put into the nub theory...?

Looking at my 12 week scan, based on the angles... I think it’s a girl. Does anyone have any stats for how correct this method is?

DragonFlew · 13/08/2018 18:02

@twiglet I had them second time round for a long time. Had to sit with eyes closed and put a flannel on forehead.

Today I've been suffering (TMI) with constipation. Which I only ever get when I'm pregnant but I had a little blood when I wiped which was obviously frightening but I know it's because of that and not baby. But it's not nice to see! Been drinking gallons of water and loads of fruit & veg to try to help it

AliceRR · 13/08/2018 18:16

Thanks for the replies ladies. Not getting stressed about results but feels like something else to wait for!

@DragonFlew Glad you’ve got a date and it’s not too far away!

@Powkin I’m having a lot of headaches. They are not too bad as I have managed not to take pain killers. Just once headache was really bad, made me threw up but mostly not so severe.

I bought some 4Head but it’s been sitting in the window sill and package says not to expose to heat at all so now not sure whether to use it...

@frenchgal I’m taking pregnacare too which is for all through pregnancy

craftymum01 · 13/08/2018 18:21

@frenchgal I am the same, because I was taking pregnacare I have just carried on taking them. It does no harm and as my diet isn't good at least I know I am getting whatever I need.

@twiglit my whole pregnancy seems to be one long headache. It is really exacerbated by my hayfever which is awful right now too. I find 4head stick, a hot and cold flannel and wearing my sunglasses helps mine from developing too much.
