Hi ladies, sorry to hear some of you are feeling particularly rough. My body just aches, feeling really heavy atm. I've actually slept on the sofa for the past 2 nights as my bed is so hard on my hips. Done wonders for a good nights sleep, probably for us both as I'm not disturbing him with my frequent toilet trips aswel.
Also working till end of Nov which seems like forever away but consciously trying to take it easy with going in a little later. Sometimes results in working a bit later but not too much of a bother atm

Bellesboy1218 · 31/10/2018 20:53

Evening, have any of you ladies been told about baby having BCG vaccine when born? Was told that the vaccine they are using currently isn't licensed in the uk. Was given leaflet about the usual licensed one being unavailable.
What are your thoughts on this if you have been offered this? Will you be going ahead with the vaccine?

RomPom · 01/11/2018 10:47

My sickness has come back a little over the past couple of weeks. I'm constantly eating though, which may have something to do with it!

I'm also in the spare room most nights...we both get a good sleep that way. When this baby arrives, she'll be in with me and OH will be relegated to the spare room!

@MagicalCreatures OH is generally not that rubbish. Since mum has been ill, he's really done a lot to help. He is pretty much a robot when it comes to emotions, so he can't really deal with that side of things, but he's been great otherwise. I think he was just knackered on Sunday, but it did piss me off!

@kaytees how are you dealing with the terrible twos tantrums? I swear my daughter is in charge of the whole house! Every time she doesn't get her own way, it's a full on meltdown. I've bought her a baby Annabell to explain about the new baby...she's getting thrown around a lot! 😂

kaytees · 01/11/2018 13:03

Ohh @RomPom that did make me giggle about the doll being thrown around as we have the same here, I've now noticed he walks past the doll and says 'don't want to like the baby' so I can't even imagine how he's going to take to a real baby! The only thing that seems to work with my son is the implementation of the naughty step which I was very hesitant to do but he does seem to really understand why he's there if it does get to that stage. Sorry to hear your sickness is back - I didn't have a resurgence in first pregnancy so having it in third trimester this time round (while wrangling said toddler) is challenging.

AGirlinLondon · 01/11/2018 15:47

...well I spent all day eating sweets.

balalalala · 01/11/2018 15:52

We've got terrible twos tantrums here too! She's also gone super clingy and wants carrying everywhere. Very tough! She's quite a fan of her baby though, likes rocking and singing to her as well as cuddling her, but then she forgets and flings her by a leg...

emwithme · 01/11/2018 17:45

First day of maternity leave and I've spent 90% of it snuggled in/on the bed reading and snoozing with the cats. It's been divine but I must get up now because I'm going to Bingo with the NCT girls tonight!

Got my 36 week growth scan tomorrow morning.

peachesarenom · 01/11/2018 20:43

Thanks 0lgaDaPolga you've made me feel loads better about my spending spree! I can't find raspberry leaf tea anywhere so I'm glad it's not the be all and end all!

balalalala · 01/11/2018 21:11

If you're still tempted to try, I got mine off amazon. I actually quite like the taste so I'm quite enjoying it at the moment. I've just bought a aniball which quite frankly looks ridiculous but I'm so determined to give everything a try to attempt to reduce the chance of a bad tear again!

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 00:46

Hi ladies, I’ve only just joined so feel a bit late to the party!. I’m due on Christmas Eve and we don’t know what we’re having. We have 3 boys already, a 6 year old and twin 4 year olds. Hope you’re all doing well!.

AGirlinLondon · 02/11/2018 08:34

@balalala I also got an aniball and am going to start using it at the weekend. Got to be worth a try eh?

balalalala · 02/11/2018 09:40

@agirlinlondon oh good, we can be in this together lol!

AGirlinLondon · 02/11/2018 10:16

Haha yes I can’t wait to hear your feedback @balalalala - I’m going to feel like a right fool doing it but I guess dignity is going out the window from this month onward!

Been trying perenial massage too - it hurts!!

balalalala · 02/11/2018 10:19

Yes, I've been trying that too, but I don't think I'm doing it right?! I can't get into the right position so I'm not sure I'm making any difference whatsoever! Can't hurt to try though!

emwithme · 02/11/2018 11:28

Growth scan this morning (35+5): current estimation of weight - 5 lbs 15 oz so smack where it should be. Yay!

Current presentation: breech. Boo! Am buying a scrubbing brush this weekend to see if I can get her turned naturally. My gran will be chuckling away...she always said the best way to turn a breech baby was to scrub the kitchen floor!

No pics because she wasn't very cooperative and didn't want to show her face!

Got repeat scan next week to see whether she's flipped or not!

emwithme · 04/11/2018 13:55

If you hear a strange noise on the wind, that'll be my Gran (may she rest in peace) laughing her socks off over the thought that I've just scrubbed the utility room floor on my hands and knees like Cinderella.

Gotta turn this baby!

MagicalCreatures · 04/11/2018 22:44

How’s everyone feeling?
Crikey we’re getting close.
Especially some of you that are due at the beginning of December.
I’m due at the end so I’m very jealous of you all right now. I still feel like I have a while.
My cousin is having her baby by c-section on Wednesday and that means that all 8 of my Friends that were planning babies around the same time as me have had there’s and it’s just me left with under 8 weeks to go. I’m getting very impatient and wondering why the hell ive always had to wait the longest for things in my life. I keep telling myself it’s because the best is always left till last 😁
Still at my mums as the bathroom is taking longer then expected. Sleep is non existent. I hate this bed!!!!!

Aren't we just! Due date is now less than a month away! Sorry to hear you're still struggling with the bed. But much better to get the bathroom done and finished before baby arrives! I slept horrendously last night. 4 wees plus a toddler wake up then up for the day at 6. Planning a nice nap this afternoon!

AGirlinLondon · 05/11/2018 10:06

29 days to go. Still living in a building site, no kitchen or proper bathroom (serious renovations) - at least we have hot water now 😂 IT WILL ALL BE FINE

Cakelaur · 05/11/2018 11:18

@emwithme google 'spinning babies' gives some other options for turning naughty bubbas.

6weeks to go for me!! I'm getting excited now!!

balalalala · 05/11/2018 21:00

Having put on a thread yesterday morning that I never had braxton hicks with my dd and none so far with this one, I think I'm now getting them! Are they quite uncomfortable but pretty brief cramps that come in waves? I am getting pain down my inner right thigh all the way to my knee too - is that a thing? I'm guessing baby is moving down and hitting some nerve somewhere as well as my bladder!

AGirlinLondon · 05/11/2018 21:20

@balalalala I get them a LOT now and for me they just feel like the bump going rock hard. Like having indigestion almost. They come and go all the time, all day. I’m not sure if that’s the same as what you’ve described or if that helps. I also get achey lower back and period pain now but not regularly. I feel like I have a good idea what it’s going to feel like at the start.

I can feel the baby practicing breathing now - rhythmic ‘breath’ movements followed by hiccups. It’s the coolest thing so far.

balalalala · 05/11/2018 21:29

Hmm, they sound different but I'm convinced they're both BH! It is definitely a reminder that we're getting close!

Cakelaur · 06/11/2018 01:01

I've had BH since 15 weeks! It's so uncomfortable! It all tightens and squeezes baby upwards and makes me need to pee more than I normally do. And oh my lord the hiccups!! It drives me insane!! 😂 bub gets them maybe 3 or 4 times a day! I try to scare him to stop them.... but to no avail!! 🙈

MagicalCreatures · 06/11/2018 04:29

Yeh I’ve had Braxton Hicks since about 26 weeks and like Cakelaur it feels as if my bump goes really high and hard on the top. Though mine last abit longer then the usual 30 seconds. Probably a couple of minutes before it eases.
@Cakelaur are you saying you try to make that tiny little baby jump to scare the hiccups out of him 😂 do you shout Boo and your bump.
Don’t worry, I actually wondered whether that would work myself but felt too guilty and like I would be a bad mum even thinking it 😂😂
