fills shopping basket

balalalala · 28/10/2018 17:25

32 weeks with no more than 1 cup a day, gradually increasing up to 3 cups Smile

peachesarenom · 28/10/2018 17:53

balalalala I'm being induced week 37, will I get up to 3 cups a day by then?

peachesarenom · 28/10/2018 17:55

Also, I'm feeling very productive today! Just bought a pain of cheap net curtains £5 ikea! For the living room. At the moment I make eye contact with the neighbours every time they walk by and I can't have that when my nips will be out!!!

balalalala · 28/10/2018 18:01

@peachesarenom yes, should be no problem! As I say, no idea if it actually works!

peachesarenom · 28/10/2018 18:04

I'm willing to try all placebos! Apparently placebos work even when you know they are placebos!

RomPom · 28/10/2018 20:19

Thank you for the kind words...it makes me feel better knowing I can just write all the stuff done and offload a little.

I cooked a beef Wellington today....I don't cook. I've never even cooked a bit of beef before! I cooked it with a whiny toddler who's full of cold around my feet while my OH laid on the sofa all day and did nothing. It tasted bloody amazing, but now I'm getting the most horrendous tightenings across my bump. It feels as if it's gonna burst! Is that Braxton Hicks? I never had them with my first.

peachesarenom · 29/10/2018 09:42

I'm so impressed with my own shopoholicism! I've done so much christmas shopping! Only DH and little bro to go. Lots of sales on at the mo: cath kidston has 50%off with 10% with the code 10EXTRA. Joules had 25% off last night. I did a few boots 3 for 2! Got squish a little present! A fisher price puppy!

On the other hand forgot to take my overnight insulin and fragmin so completely incompetant!!!

peachesarenom · 29/10/2018 09:43

Here is the puppy!

@RomPom I am so sorry to hear of all your troubles. How Is your mum finding the chemo?

And why on earth is your OH just laying in the sofa. I hope that’s not something that is the norm for him. I think you could really do with abit more support at the moment.
And yes that sounds like Braxton Hicks.
I’ve had them from 26 weeks and can only describe them as very uncomfortable tightenings across my belly. Almost as if baby suddenly grows an extra foot and then shrinks back to normal again.

I’m feeling very jealous of those of you who are on mat leave already or going on very soon.
I’ve still got til the 1st December when I’ll be 36+1.
But quite honestly not sure if I’ll make it that far. Might have to go a week earlier. My job involves a lot of driving and lifting and baby is so low it takes me 5 minutes to stand up straight every time I get out the car. It feels like he’s gonna fall out.

Loving the Spritz for Bitz by the way.
At my baby shower, amongst all the stuff I got for baby, one of my besties gave me a bottle of Spritz for Bitz!!! I love her. Thinking of me and my poor vagina. That’s real friendship right there!!!

Good luck hun xx

I drank bucketloads of raspberry leaf tea and I can quite confidently say it did fuck all! Grin my pushing was not at all effective, baby got stuck and needed a forceps delivery. I quite like the taste of it so I’ve been drinking it again because I figured it can’t hurt!

Spritz for bits is great, i used it last time and have packed some more. Arnica tablets too. Last time I made ice packs in the freezer with rubber gloves which helped. I had an episiotomy and was very swollen after the birth and cold packs were excellent.

Good luck for your growth scan @athers666 let us know how you get on.

Sorry to hear about your mum @rompom that sounds so hard for you. Hope you’re ok Flowers

Athers666 · 30/10/2018 19:07

Good news. The growth looks on track! They think he's about 4.8lbs! He's gone head down and I can hardly walk, but at least he's doing well! They found a trace of protein in the urine but aren't worried and just told me to drink more. Have another scan in 2 weeks time but they seemed happy with everything. So so relieved!

AGirlinLondon · 31/10/2018 06:45

Great news Athers! I’m almost 36 weeks now and am being seen every week from now on, including today. Scan next week which will be the final time we see the bab before D day. Feel ready now.

emwithme · 31/10/2018 07:05

That's great news Athers

It's my last day at work today. Got to stop at the supermarket on the way in and buy ALL THE CAKE!!!

Also moved into the spare room last night. The past few nights have been really disturbed so DH isn't sleeping well either (he works 12 hour shifts with a 45 minute commute each way so needs to be well rested). It was nice knowing that I wasn't disturbing him with all my tossing and turning and getting up for three wees!

balalalala · 31/10/2018 07:17

Horray! @emwithme mine too! So nearly there!

MagicalCreatures · 31/10/2018 07:31

@Athers666 that is fab news hun. 4.8lbs? My niece was born at 4.9lbs. That’s a proper baby now 😃

Well I didn’t sleep a wink last night. God knows how I’m functioning right now.
I’m staying at my mums for the week coz our bathroom has been ripped out ready for a new one and this bed is soooo uncomfortable. I want to cry. I can’t do another 4/5 nights of this. X

Hey ladies is sickness normal at 33 weeks??
I've woke feeling horrible and sick today, I'm hoping it's just a bug or something and this isn't the next 7 weeks of my life haha

Athers666 · 31/10/2018 09:15

@magicalCreatures ah you poor thing. Nothing worse than not being able to sleep. Like you I'm surprised I can still function.
I don't finish work until end of november so I want to cry most days 😂This is pure hell.
@December2018 I have awful sickness most nights now. Mine's due to all the heartburn/stomach acid. I have had very little sickness since day one so I'm finding it a bit shock! Hope you feel better soon.

SunshineSnowflakesDaydreams · 31/10/2018 09:22

I seriously hope not! I had D&V yesterday and it was awful. Not only was that terrible but my poor pelvic floor wasn't coping with the vomiting 🤢 My lovely husband was up at 1:30 this morning cleaning me up. I burst into tears while I was sick saying, "I'm wetting myself." Absolutely mortified! Shattered today though. Running on maybe an hours sleep.

Got to see the bubba today though, so that was worth it! 33+4 and 5lb 8. I'd show the scan photo but they always give me shit ones and I'm not even sure what the picture is of! Maybe a leg!

AGirlinLondon · 31/10/2018 09:36

@December I remember starting to feel sick again at that point yes, but it passed

And to those sleeping in separate beds - I’m with you! Makes such a difference!
