Morning ladies. I am also having pain down there. Also 32 weeks, although I did have a particularly bad episode of this at approx 28weeks. Usually when I've over exerted myself with cleaning or up hill walking. Got a proper waddle on atm and it's so painful to get up and down, especially at night with toilet breaks. The midwife gave me a number for a physio and spoke about SPG? Think it's time to give that number a ring. Also have a physio session as part of antenatal class tomorrow so hoping to get some useful info from there.

raysan1 · 22/10/2018 12:39

Re. Pain & waddling: Early on, my chiropracter said that it is not necessary, if you have the right help, to have any back pain or trouble walking. Everyone is different but at 34 weeks, i am pain free apart from kicks and lightning crotch! Not saying that to show off, just to give hope that your body is capable if you do the right things.
Pressure on your cervix or vulva? Could it be baby engaging early??

MagicalCreatures · 22/10/2018 17:10

TMI ALERT!!!!!!
All I know is that my anal fissure is so big I can’t even sit down without wincing. I told my mum they could stick a hot pitch fork up my arse and I’m sure the pain would be less. I’ve had the bloody thing for years after suffering with constipation but it’s always been very small and hardly noticeable. Now it’s the size of a grape, obviously because of all the blood and pressure down there (kinda like how piles come on I expect)
FML!!!!

Ohhh magical!
That sounds really bad!
You poor love... touch wood! Nothing has made an appearance out of my arse so far but I have that much pressure it feels like it could be imminent... it's so painful even sitting to have a wee hurts and feels like a little head will pop out any second 😂
Also are cramps, like period cramps and back pain normal??
It was quite bad last night I had to put a hot water bottle on my back for a bit just to ease the pain

balalalala · 22/10/2018 20:31

As long as there's no pattern to them @december2018 I think they are!

Getting lots of pressure here too! Through my foof and my bum! Midwife appointment tomorrow and interested to hear how he's lying now as feels more central tonight!

Cakelaur · 23/10/2018 08:17

Morning everyone... well 32 weeks.. Baby boy is head down, engaged, placenta has moved but not enough (yet) so planning for a c-section. Been having regular BH which a couple days ago were coming thick and fast at 2mins apart!! 🙈 everything has been bought for him, baby shower has been had, maternity leave started.... I think I'm officially able to say I'm ready, just want a couple more weeks to get the house all finished and cleaned and ready and then he can arrive!!! Can't believe I'm actually getting a baby for Xmas!!! 😍

Hope everyone else is doing ok!! Xx

MagicalCreatures · 23/10/2018 08:45

@December2018 Thankyou for the sympathy. My mum and husband just laughed their heads off. 😢
Quite honestly I’ve been very lucky this pregnancy with no sickness or mood swings so I’ve gotta take something haven’t I 😂
I do think period cramps are normal at this stage now. I’m sure I read somewhere that they are actually Braxton Hicks.
@Cakelaur sorry your arranging for a c-section still but how amazing knowing you will definitely have your little boy by your side Xmas day. I didn’t think Braxton Hicks we’re meant to have a pattern like 2 minutes apart. I bet that worried you.
Had my baby shower too. Did you enjoy it?
He got so much stuff it’s unreal. And he actually has more shoes then me now 😂

I think my bubba is lying transverse (hope ive got that right) I’m seeing the midwife Thursday and I’m going to see if she can tell coz it’s worrying me abit. 31 weeks soon. Shouldn’t he be getting into position x

@MagicalCreatures I had an amazing time at the baby shower!! 😍 as you can see... had a giraffe theme for my giraffe baby! We were so overwhelmed with gifts from everyone!! People have been so generous it's unreal!
How was your baby shower? Did you find that you were exhausted afterwards?! I was pooped!! 😂

@Cakelaur 😂😂 that’s brilliant. You look fab!!! Why is he your giraffe baby?
Mine was lovely Thankyou. Like you, we got so much stuff. People are so generous. We just had an afternoon tea thing with my mums homemade scones (yummy) and cakes.
I wasnt tired actually. Apart from abit of hip pain, it was actually quite a chilled out afternoon. X

Ohhh @MagicalCreatures you have my sympathies, I had similar issues first pregnancy and it is so uncomfortable!! I wish I had a magic cure to sell you but I can say it goes away / gets better after birth!!

@Cakelaur your shower looks gorgeous! As do you. Please tell me you have a matching onesie for baby when he arrives? Sorry to hear placenta hasn't moved but you sound so organised that hopefully the c section won't be too stressful. I'll be getting mine booked in in the next few weeks, who knows, we may be in Kingston at the same time!

Am 31 weeks now and wish I could say I was ready... not the case. I swear I was ready for my first baby at this point! It's just a matter of moving furniture now though so nothing too onerous. Had a growth scan on Friday with a little 4D peak and baby looks exactly like his big brother, just amazing!

Cakelaur · 23/10/2018 12:41

@kaytees haha!! I wish we had a matching one for baby! I'm not sure how they convinced my other half to get into the giraffe onesie! He only showed up to collect me and thank everyone for the gifts!
He's just been a giraffe baby from day one. Not sure why. His nursery is all giraffe themed, most of his toys are giraffes, loads of his outfits have giraffes on! 😂🦒

We may well be at Kingston at the same time! How bizarre if we end up in at the same time!! 🤞🏻😂

AGirlinLondon · 23/10/2018 12:56

@cakelaur I love your onesie!!! I’m at week 35 this week. My placenta previa scan is next week so we will see. My baby shower is on Saturday - family have forced me to have one but it’s very sweet of them.

balalalala · 23/10/2018 14:53

@cakelaur when he's a bit older, my two year old's favourite book currently is giraffes can't dance. It's a lovely book! Looks like you had a lovely time.

I've had my 34 week appointment today and baby is now 2/5ths engaged still lying with his back on the right and limbs on the left. Feeling pretty shattered as sleep is pretty in existent at the moment. Nearly there for maternity leave and I'm planning lots of films and Christmas wrapping!

Athers666 · 23/10/2018 18:59

Yay, had a scan today and they've now decided to see me fortnightly instead of weekly as little dude seems to be all good and they are freaking out less about his growth. They'll still keep an eye on it but it's looking ok for now which is a huge relief!
Feeling kinda rubbish though with rib pain and stuff, really don't want to struggle on through another 6 weeks of working 😣😣😣

Athers666 · 24/10/2018 11:40

Does anybody else suffer horribly with rib pain? I find it agony to drive now and just want to cry when I'm in the car! Luckily it's a short drive to work but on my days off I'm becoming housebound😣😣

AGirlinLondon · 24/10/2018 18:22

@athers now my baby has dropped he is nowhere near my ribs. Fingers crossed that will happen for you too.

MagicalCreatures · 24/10/2018 23:02

MotherF***!!!!
Whatever you do girls, don’t watch the very end of episode 8 (I think) of ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ on Netflix.
I swear I nearly went into pre-term labour.

December2018 · 25/10/2018 06:13

Hahaha magical that made me laugh!
I thought my waters had gone the other night at 4 in the morning... woke my OH up in a panic.....
no turns out I'd just pissed the bed 😂... brilliant!

We're saving haunting on hill house for Halloween, gonna have a binge watch day with Halloween cakes & food lol

I get the rib pain only now and again, this little one is quite low down now too, he's sort of bent in half with his feet by his head apparently he's comfy that way so I only get the rib pains when he stretches out... I've got a little toe sucker on my hands here ladies 😂💙

Athers666 · 25/10/2018 07:46

Ah maybe baby will drop soonish and it will help ease the rib pain 😁

Gemsie1984 · 25/10/2018 17:59

😂 @December2018 The 'toe sucker' comment made me laugh.. and I relate to pissing the bed.. I just keep pissing myself. Every time I cough or sneeze too hard. My pelvic floor is officially dead.

So spent seven hours in pain with tightening yesterday, after much debating with myself decided to go off to triage and get myself checked out (again) CTG was again fine, Jack passed it in half an hour. Monitor also showed tightenings again so consultant called for review. I was given an internal cervical length check.. (that internal wand is like the biggest dildo I've seen in my life, my poor fanny). Anyway cervix measured at 2.1cm. She said anything above 2cm is fine and indicated that she didn't think Jack would be making an appearance within the next week, basically said I have an irritable uterus and said I have to deal with it as it's doing nothing to progress to labour! After looking on Dr. Google I've seen that at this stage the average cervical length is 3-3.5cm. So this is making me think.. Hm I might have an irritable uterus but I think the pains and tightenings ARE doing something. Also losing bits of plug every day still..

Stephisaur · 25/10/2018 20:21

Be careful what you wish for ladies. Baby has been head down for most of my pregnancy but my god, the pressure right now is insane.

It literally feels like my pubic bone is being ripped apart. He is putting SOOO much pressure down there!!

In other news, I have to go to the hospital for twice weekly Doppler checks and fortnightly scans. Yay.

Athers666 · 26/10/2018 06:13

I'm also having fortnightly scans and doppler flow checks, they did put me on weekly checks but decided it wasn't necessary after all. It's a pain getting to and from the hospital, traffic round there is heaving and there are no spaces ever. Hope everyone is feeling ok today. I still have 5 weeks left at work, makes me want to cry!😣

0lgaDaPolga · 26/10/2018 14:46

@magicalcreatures I’ve been watching that too. It’s so scary! I can’t watch it alone I need my dh there 🙈 he was out of the house yesterday evening and I was all on edge thinking I was going to see bent neck lady round every corner 😂

Getting really big and uncomfortable now I’m 35 weeks. My baby was breech at my 27 week 4d scan and I was assuming I’d have felt it if he flipped but I had my 34 week midwife appointment on Wednesday and she thought he was head down from feeling my bump so fingers crossed if he is he stays that way. I have a scan on 1st November so we will see! It’s getting very real now. I’ve washed all my son’s old babygrows and have them ready in a drawer. Not too much else left to do!

smorgasborgen · 27/10/2018 00:53

Hi all, infuriatingly I can't sleep. I work nights part time and my body brain has flipped into night mode. I also have acid reflux which us yuck!
Would everyone mind putting there due date down? I'm 25th Dec but having c section on the 17th...

December2018 · 27/10/2018 06:36

I'm due on the 19th there is a spreadsheet somewhere with all our dates on
