Aww thanks that makes me feel better Smile

AGirlinLondon · 08/09/2018 14:54

My baby is head down and I still feel most of the movement at my bikini line - the ribs is a new thing.

peachesarenom · 08/09/2018 15:10

Cakelaur your medical team seem really on top of it, you sound quite calm and in control of things.

MagicalCreatures my squish is also enjoying pushing on my bladder, sometimes I feel desperate and go, only for nothing to happen.

I had my consultant appt yesterday. I think he's really worried about my bmi and possible consequences. My blood glucose tests were higher than usual this week too, the Diabetes Dr suggested I go into insulin and I said no! I said I'm only on half the max dose of metformin so I'd rather increase that. They agreed and gave me a week to improve. I'm quite shocked at myself for saying no, I hope I've done the right thing

lipstickandgin · 08/09/2018 17:51

A lot of my movements are low down and at times the pressure on my bladder is unreal. I have to give baby a little press to get it to move.

MagicalCreatures · 08/09/2018 21:33

Hey girls
Just got back from my holiday. I’m exhausted. Did so much walking I’m surprised my ankles aren’t triple the size.
I’m feeling so much movement now too. 24+1 and getting kicked all the time. Very low down though and I’m sure he’s head down as when I use my Doppler, his heartbeat is right in my bikini line. Get the odd kick around my belly button.
Really shocked though to find out I’ve put on HALF A STONE in a week on my holiday. After all the exercise and just the odd cream tea. I definitely had a growth spurt in the first 2 days that I was there so I’m hoping it’s just water and baby.
Anyone else? X

Hey magical!
Welcome back hun... I'm frightened to weigh myself i've put on so much weight mostly bump tho and the tops of my legs have gone bigger 😂 (much bigger)
I have had a major growth spurt the last week my bump has seriously popped out 😊
The movement is awesome isn't it!

MagicalCreatures · 08/09/2018 21:52

@December2018 Thanks Hun.
Thing is, I’ve been so careful as already weighed 13 stone before pregnancy (though have always been heavier than I look) Heavy bones and lots of muscles seems to run in my family.
Up until this week, id only put on half a stone and then to put on another half a stone in a week, I’m in shock!!!!
I’m hoping that now I’m home and back to my usual routine, maybe some will fall back off. I don’t look of feel any bigger. My clothes aren’t tighter. But my bump has got huge suddenly.
And yes, the movements are incredible. It’s actually such a reassurance and I totally understand now when people say they miss their bump after birth. X

I’m feeling really low at the moment :( ... I haven’t made any mummy friends and mine still want to party (I am 24) ... my partner doesn’t seem to understand this, and goes out with his friends socially all the time getting home at 1am every Saturday and it’s giving me anxiety. Our house still isn’t ready to move into, and was meant to be done a year ago... and we are at our parents. He won’t move into my house as he’s too worried about his family, and I’m stressing like mad. I just want to cry and cry and cry. Please offer some advise :(

December2018 · 09/09/2018 06:12

I was just over 13 stone when I fell pregnant too... I was super careful and now this little dude loves mars bars 😂 so weight gain is inevitable I think...

Anyone else not sleeping??

I was up again at 3 wandering the house... but the lack of sleep makes me a horrible hormonal whinge bag all day 😖😊

Anyone got any sleeping tips?

December2018 · 09/09/2018 06:17

Ameliaclem
I totally feel your pain.... my OH went out last night and I just feel isolated from mankind (apart from work)
And the stupid person got completely off his tits and he's now on his sisters sofa.... I'm thinking about locking him out if I'm honest I feel like he's not even thought twice about me sat at home feeling miserable and frumpy with no sleep and an aching arse....
I don't even mind him going out and doing things but I think he's completely taken the piss this time!
.... so your not alone hun!

faykceb · 09/09/2018 07:37

I am worried about feeling isolated too. I live in quite a rural area and my close friends all live hours away (my best friend is in Germany)! My partner is a farmer so works long hours and often works weekends too. Currently he seems a bit ambivalent about baby and often talks as if farming will still come first which does worry me if I'll be alone. I'm hoping to meet other mums through nct and going to groups otherwise I think the next year will be super hard.

I don't dare weigh myself as I was also trying to lose weight and I dread to think what my weight is now. I'm only 5ft2 so weight gain is obvious on me and I just get a constant stream of people telling me I'm huge, that am I sure there isn't twins in there or my dates are wrong. I'm sick of pointing out it's because I'm short and nowhere for baby to go!

Would be interested in sleeping tips I have a couple of good nights and then terrible ones.

AGirlinLondon · 09/09/2018 11:09

You guys are my mum friends!

To be honest I am a bit of a hermit now and I like relaxing at home when I’m not working my arse off - so seeing other mum mates doesn’t happen so often. But I like checking in on here!

I am 28 weeks and have gained just under a stone now - mostly in the bump judging by the size of it!!! My fundal measurement was exactly right and no one has weighed me or seems to care about my weight since my booking in appointment. Which is fine by me!

I am also struggling with sleep but the enormous pillow helps. Think I am being woken by the baby kicking me tbh!

Ameliaclem · 09/09/2018 13:31

Thanks for the positive messages. Don’t think the partners understand sometimes how emotional we feel and what are bodies are going through. Mine ended up getting in at 4am so not on talking terms today! Not sure what will make him realise at moment

December2018 · 09/09/2018 13:41

Don't care do they!... the bloody shits!

Mine rocked up at about 10 this morning I nearly hit him over the head with the frying pan if I'm honest... I told him to sleep it off and then he's cleaning the house from top to bottom and then he's making me a nice tea...
inconsiderate shit of a man he is!!

Anyway enough about him and his shite!

How's everyone feeling today?
How's those wiggly bumps coming along.... is it bump pic day... I'll put one up I love a bump pic!! 😍

December2018 · 09/09/2018 13:44

Here's my little wiggly bump!!
Feels like it's shrunk a bit tho...💙💙

Ignore how streaky my mirror is.... I sprayed it and walked off apparently 😂😂

Bora8 · 09/09/2018 13:51

I’ve been MIA on here lately. Nice to catch up with how everyone is doing. We went for a 4D scan last weekend, baby was being shy & would not move his/her hands away from face so we didn’t get many good pics but got to see lots of movement & managed to stay team yellow 💛 Took both our mums with us too which was nice for them to be involved. Hope everyone had a better sleep last night xx

Bora... omg! Beautiful!
Look at that squishy little face!!
I bet it was lovely to meet him/her
We've got one booked for the 7th October I'll be 29 weeks then 😊
Don't know wether that is leaving it a bit late tho

Bora8 · 09/09/2018 18:24

Thank you @december
It was amazing. My husband was sceptical when we booked it but was totally blown away when we seen baby.
Aw I think they’re amazing no matter how far you are, I was almost 27+4 when we had that done x

peachesarenom · 09/09/2018 20:03

So I had a bit of a scare last night, with pink on wiping so I ended up in the maternity assessment unit again! They said they found blood in my urine and did a speculum exam but couldn't 'see' any blood in the vagina. They have sent both samples away to be tested, I will hear back on Tues or Wed.

Little squish has been moving loads.

I think my nerves are shot to shit and together with my blood glucose levels going bad I just feel like if they offer me a c-sec I'll say yes please at 37 weeks. I'm very scared of shoulder dyscosia.

balalalala · 09/09/2018 20:10

@sjb10 I'm due the day before you and have had no kicks to the ribs yet. I had a scan about 3 weeks back and he was transverse so I'm guessing he's stayed like that.
My bump is huge this time round. I saw some pictures of me today and it's just insane! I have a consultant appointment and my GTT test tomorrow, then a midwife appointment on Tuesday. Feels like a busy week!

kaytees · 09/09/2018 20:16

How scary @peachesarenom - how are you feeling now? Frustrating you have to wait a few days for test results. I hope you don't mind my asking but why are you worried particularly about dystocia? Have you had it in a previous pregnancy? I had it with my first but had never even heard of it until it happened!

raysan1 · 09/09/2018 20:31

hi, I have been quiet for a while (watching). I am now 27+6 (3rd December) and so sick of appointments. Because of thyroid (and 1st baby), I feel I have never been out!

If I wear tight clothes, I look about 4 months pregnant but loose clothes, I could just be a little overweight! I am not arguing tho! Am using the Babycentre app to record progress with my 'bumpies'.

Kicks are still not strong enough for DP to feel but growth is normal.

@Amelia, I know what you mean about isolation. It's one thing to choose staying in to enjoy the final months of rest but another if you want to be out and about, especially getting the house ready. I still find I can go out to bars and clubs occasionally (I am quite lucky with few symptoms) but DP has not really adapted to the new status quo and if I get anxious he gets cross with me!!!

My advice, just cry when you feel like it, as it is a hormonal & physical release for your body. Set yourself a goal to plan something social for yourself and it will distract you. 1am on a saturday for a young man with no (born) kids is not that unusual even if we would hope he would be more supportive. There is time for him to learn still xxx Flowers

MagicalCreatures · 09/09/2018 21:07

@Bora8 that is such a gorgeous picture. I can’t wait for mine in 4 weeks.
@December2018 I agree. I think it’s time for a bump pic. Though this was taken on my holiday and I look huge. My bump really popped out but today I woke up and it had shrunk. It’s done that before. Baby must move position or something.
@peachesarenom you poor thing. It’s so worrying isn’t it. After my scare a few weeks ago like yours, I’ve gone back to knicker checking every 10 minutes. I’d finally stopped doing it 😩

😂😂😂 going through my photos and I’ve just found a picture that my DH took of me eating a giant bag of cheese puffs on the sofa of my caravan last week.
Think I know where the weight gain came from 😳
