Welcome LJCJ! :)

December2018 · 31/08/2018 06:09

Hello and good morning all my lovelies and bumpies 😁

I officially cannot sleep anymore! Lol
Up allll night! 😂
I have a wiggly kickboxing baby that gets day & night mixed up apparently....

Has the nesting started for anyone yet??
I know it's usually a lot later in pregnancy but I think I'm getting a bit of it now, constantly cleaning all the time and getting anxiety about things being left out on the sides 😂😂
And another strange one I've started doing....washing EVERYTHING and sniffing it for ages fresh out the washing machine (only with persil pods)
I must have sniffed the same throw about 20 times last night even my mum commented on how strange I was being 😂😂

December2018 · 31/08/2018 06:11

LJCJ welcome babe!
Go team blue!
I'm on team blue too... how cute is all the wintery boy things coming Into shops now.. unicorns are the in things for girls and dinosaurs for boys it seams this year
It's all just too cute! XX

RomPom · 31/08/2018 09:08

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing well. I've just posted my scan pic on the FB group, need to go back in 2 weeks because she wasn't behaving! They confirmed an anterior placenta though, so I'm not so worried about movements now.

Mum is having an appointment with her surgeon today and her pre op, so hopefully the op will be in a few weeks. 🤞 finding it a bit difficult living with my mum again after all these years. That sounds incredibly selfish seeing as she's ill though!

Athers666 · 31/08/2018 22:05

Yes yes to not sleeping! I just cannot get comfy as every single position I try, little dude starts doing his karate training so I either can't get to sleep, or I drift off and then he wriggles about and wakes me up 😣😣! And come morning when the alarm is going off and I have to drag myself out of bed feeling rubbishy, oh, then he's fast asleep! The rudeness! 😂

emwithme · 01/09/2018 09:21

Another milestone has been passed.

Our babies, no matter if they come early, on time, or late, will be in the "right" school year! (without having to argue for summer-born deferrals).

My next milestone is 5 weeks time, when bump will have baked longer than her Daddy managed to (MIL had partial placental abruption at 28 weeks but managed to keep him inside for another 4 weeks after that!)

AGirlinLondon · 01/09/2018 10:36

Has anyone else got a glucose tolerance coming up! Mine is at my 28 week on Wednesday. Apparently they test everyone - I’m not high risk. Not looking forward to that, yuck!

balalalala · 01/09/2018 13:41

Yeah mine is a week Monday. I didn't have it last time and definitely not looking forward to it!

Teej51 · 01/09/2018 16:42

Hope all is well!
Went for a nap! Sweated...super hot today now have heat rash. The panic i had and my boyfriend just sits all calm "you're fine"
Hope he is right!!!

lrwe · 01/09/2018 18:16

Yep mine is a week Sunday (I'm in Qatar hence working week being slightly different) not looking forward to it at all!

0lgaDaPolga · 01/09/2018 18:21

I had my gtt on Thursday and it was ok. I’ve got a 15 month old at home so it was actually a nice break for me to just sit in a chair and read for a couple of hours 😂 I got the results the next day and all fine so one less thing to worry about. We had a 3D scan today. It was lovely to see his little face. He is the spitting image of my son so it will be interesting to see what he looks like when he is born

How to stop baby from kicking seven shades of you-know-what out of you? Grab DH's hand and place it on bump. Instant stillness from inside! Even cures foetal hiccups, we have discovered this morning.

AGirlinLondon · 02/09/2018 13:05

Haha @emwithme yes to this!

balalalala · 02/09/2018 14:19

@olga gorgeous! How lovely getting to meet him!

MagicalCreatures · 02/09/2018 16:26

@emwithme haha what is with that. Baby does exactly the same to my DH. He goes total ninja on me and then stops when DH puts his hand there. I don’t think I’ve felt hiccups yet though.
I’m on holiday at the moment in Dawlish with my whole family and my mum felt baby kick last night. It was lovely.
Done so much walking and my feet/legs/everything are killing me.
@0lgaDaPolga what a lovely picture. We’re gonna book one for about 28 weeks.
@December2018 nesting yes? And I’m still waiting for my bathroom to be done. Gonna start in the nursery when we get back. I’m so excited. But I am really starting to panic about just how quick it’s all going x

Haha so true @emwithme - I have been trying for weeks, then on Friday baby was kicking for about 10 mins so I shouted for husband to come downstairs and he finally felt the kicks!

I've actually bought a sling this weekend - does that count as starting to get ready?! Having had a virus and then cold right after one another (and back to second part time job tomorrow) I wasn't really in the mood but like others am starting to panic that I've done nowt!

peachesarenom · 02/09/2018 22:04

Hi everyone,

Can I join please? Due 20th Dec and it's a boy!

Cakelaur · 02/09/2018 22:32

Hi @peachesarenom how are you babe?? Yay for boy. Me too!!! It seems most December babies are boys!! Haha

peachesarenom · 02/09/2018 22:35

I'm good thanks Cakelaur! Did you say you're defo having a c-sec at 30 weeks or they're keeping a closer eye on you from then?

I'm starting my mat leave early from 1st Oct hopefully as I just want to try and stay as calm as possible!

MagicalCreatures · 03/09/2018 00:13

@peachesarenom Hi Hun. Recognise you from around the hood (meaning mumsnet) How’s things going?

Hi MagicalCreatures I recognise you too! I'm ok. Had an mri which was interesting but all ok. How are you?

MagicalCreatures · 03/09/2018 08:32

@peachesarenom what was the MRI for?
I’m good Thankyou. I’ll be 24 weeks on Friday so massive milestone for me. Esp after the little scare we had a couple of weeks ago. Just generally getting so excited now. X

Olga.... he's just beautiful!! 💙💙

Athers666 · 03/09/2018 18:57

So I just choked a bit on my dinner and had quite a violent coughing fit...and wet myself! I'm feeling rubbish about it, wasn't a huge amount but ugh. Should I be worried?!
