December2018 · 28/08/2018 20:33

Awww thanks everyone you've all eased my worrying a little... I'm just super panicky today I deffo think I'm super hormonal today too which doesn't help at all lol
I sneezed before and spilt my brew on my pjs (just washed and dried/clean on) and this resulted in a full blown crying meltdown 😂
.... our bodies are amazing growing humans but they make us do stupid things!

December2018 · 28/08/2018 20:34

I'm just living all these beautiful pets btw 😍😍😍🐾

December2018 · 28/08/2018 20:34

**LOVING
.... my fingers are getting too pregnant for typing 😂

Paranormalbouquet · 28/08/2018 22:11

How is everyone doing on the weight gain front? I started off about 2.5stone heavier than usual (comfort eating through 3 miscarriages was responsible!), I’ve been quite careful with a good few slip ups and am now 2lbs up from booking- would really like to keep from gaining much as don’t want to have 5 stone to lose afterwards!

FluffyBunnyTails · 28/08/2018 22:17

Oh I love all these fur babies!!!

@MagicalCreatures - we have bunnies too! 4 house bunnies, they live in pairs. Your bun is so beautiful x

Chalkybee · 28/08/2018 22:58

Aww such gorgeous pets! I'm worried my cat will feelnput out when baby arrives as she snuggles in with me every chance she can.

We reach 24 weeks next week. I never even considered anything would go wrong with the first two but this time around i'be been really worried and anxious so will be giving a big sigh of relief next week!

My youngest is being adorable and keeps checking in on the baby and asks how big it is every few days. He's going to be an amazing big brother.

Been feeling quite emotional too the past few days. Have to keep it in though as my partner is useless when it comes to emotional support. Could do with a few days alone to cry and binge on Netflix and chocolate tbh! Oh well. X

MagicalCreatures · 28/08/2018 23:16

@FluffyBunnyTails I should have guessed judging by your username 😂 I just love bunnies. Ours is a house bunny. She isn’t caged at all. Just uses a small one as a toilet. She’s just over 8 years old and was hand reared by a local farmer til she was 4 months when we got her. So she’s so tame she’s almost human like. 1 is more than enough though. How do you cope with 4?
@Paranormalbouquet I’ve gained half a stone. Which I was proud of but 2 pounds is amazing. Well done!!!!

I’m half way through week 26 now and have gained about 10lbs. I am only a tiny thing so i was starting from ground zero! I am all bump! I have been using the pregnancy weight calculator it’s quite handy.

Paranormalbouquet · 29/08/2018 07:48

Magical I started off a LOT heavier than usual though! BMI over 30 for the first time in a long time! So really wanted to keep a lid on it. Starting to struggle a little now as my appetite increases- would like to gain no more than baby and fluid so I just have what I needed to lose anyway to lose rather than extra! I’m just trying to eat well and thoughtfully. I do lose the run of myself fairly often though!!

AGirlinLondon · 29/08/2018 08:22

@paranormal things are definitely changing this week - I am hungrier and seem to be holding on to the weight.

Paranormalbouquet · 29/08/2018 08:27

Yes I don’t expect to gain nothing at all, just would very much like to limit it. Will make c-section easier at the end and speed up recovery too if I can limit it. And as I said I started at a much higher weight than usual- I struggle to eat well in first trimester due to nausea and a tolerance mainly for plain carbohydrates! And will admit to a lot of comfort eating during recurrent miscarriages saga.

AGirlinLondon · 29/08/2018 08:47

@paranormal I think you’re doing a cracking job!

DottyA · 29/08/2018 09:06

I've been stuffing myself with whatever I fancy tbh. I've needed to just to get through the days! I don't plan on any more so I'm just not worrying about it really - it came off surprisingly easily last time so fingers crossed the same happens again.

What I am starting to panic about is having 2. Terrible night with a grumpy toddler last night. Guess I'll muddle through somehow but having been pretty blase about it I'm starting to worry...

kaytees · 29/08/2018 11:22

@Paranormalbouquet you're doing very well by the sounds! Like you I started heavier than I would have liked (about a stone) but have suddenly put on 8 pounds or so in the last few weeks, so keeping more of an eye on it now! Still within my healthy weight gain range according to calculator. I didn't put in loads with my first and it was all him, don't think I'll be so lucky this time round!

FluffyBunnyTails · 29/08/2018 12:23

Me too @MagicalCreatures, probably a bit too much 🙈 Baby has a number of rabbit themed clothes and I really want to get a White Company bunny for him/her 😊
Your girl sounds perfect. We had a boy like that, he thought he was human or a dog! We sadly lost him at 2 years old, still heartbroken. We now have Daisy and Freddie who were driven to Spain with us, they're rather timid and only have a stroke when eating. Then we stupidly decided we wanted a trio and got Simba. Simba is much more tame, bonding with the others didn't go well. Freddie hates him so then had to get Simba a companion and now have Luna. They're all cage free too, Simba and Luna are in a penned area though.

Will be fun when baby is crawling/walking 😩

Stephisaur · 29/08/2018 13:59

Haven't updated on here for a little while, looks like everyone is doing ok :)

Went for a scan today (24+2) and they're now quite happy with the spine, but one of the arteries into my uterus is a little kinked. This can mean that blood flow to the baby is restricted as we go on.

So... I'm now on scans every 2 weeks. I might as well move in! They're concerned that the baby might end up being a little smaller than usual, but he's currently 778g so no concerns just yet.

Paranormalbouquet · 29/08/2018 14:06

Stephisaur I have high uterine artery pressures on one side too so having regular growth scans from 28 weeks. I’ve been told a 20% chance of IUGR with my levels. Between my uterine scarring, damaged cervix, cervical stitches, placenta praevia and this I’ve just got used to being consistently stressed and anxious I think!

Stephisaur · 29/08/2018 14:48

Paranormal I think they're confused at how chill I am!

I've just resigned myself to the fact that he's a little attention seeker. I have no doubt that he'll be perfectly fine. We also make really big babies in our family, so the idea of only having a 7lb boy rather than a 10lb boy doesn't really panic me!

It's all just a bit much for a first pregnancy!

MagicalCreatures · 29/08/2018 20:32

@FluffyBunnyTails oh I just love them. Our little girl (Ruby Roo) is on her own. Which I sometimes feel bad about but when we got her we were told not to put her with any other rabbits because she’d never been with any. We think she was rescued by the farmer that raised her because she was the runt of a litter and being picked on by the others. And she he’s so much attention from us anyway. I know she’d hate to have to share us with another.

Just swooning at all the cute pets on the thread! The babies have loads of furry competition! 😍

FluffyBunnyTails · 29/08/2018 21:29

Awwww Ruby is beautiful @MagicalCreatures I've always wanted a 'wild' looking bunny. Apparently bunnies should always have company but some bunnies are happy on their own. They don't get on with all bunnies, apparently they pick their partners like humans do and are very fussy. At 8 years old she is clearly happy, our boy Dave, was alone for 1 1/2 years before the guilt got me and I got Daisy for him. He loved her straight away. Seeing the pairs wash each other, snuggle together and eat together is so cute!
Ruby is very lucky to have found you and be a free house bunny (as they should be) x

Cakelaur · 29/08/2018 23:04

Hi @Stephisaur good to hear from you. Glad to see bub is looking good at the moment. And I'd be secretly pleased at the extra scans!! But defo a concern about the blood flow. Is there anything thing they can do?

@Paranormalbouquet gosh babe that's quite a list. And yet bub is all perfectly snug in there, so it must be a pretty cosy environment.

My week is a little strange. My bump has shrunk this week! Haha! Baby just have shifted a little because I'm barely noticeable as pregnant at the mo, he's still kicking away in their but I miss my big bump! 🙈

Stephisaur · 30/08/2018 07:47

@cakelaur not from the sounds of it, but he’s growing just fine so far. Happy for the scans, but losing 1 morning every 2 weeks is really going to bugger me at work 😂 it’s weird how bumps change, isn’t it?

AGirlinLondon · 30/08/2018 12:05

@cake weirdly my bump also grows and shrinks. I guess it’s the fluid! I slept terribly last night. Baby was awake all night!
