Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MotherofZ · 27/06/2007 14:21

2 lbs?? is that it? I've put on 8lbs!!!!

suey2 · 27/06/2007 14:38

sorry motherofZ- was trying to make folk feel better not worse! looks like a good deal more than that

becklespeckle · 27/06/2007 14:43

Only about 2lbs weight gain here too and that went on straight away (boobs I guess)!

suey2 · 27/06/2007 14:48

I am sure that very shortly we will remember this conversation and weep

MotherofZ · 27/06/2007 14:55

Got to take this eating for two less seriously....

Bettymamma · 27/06/2007 14:59

2lbs 2lbs! I'm regretting the all you can eat chinese buffet for lunch now. I can still squeeze into my skinnys but I think comfort is the way forward.

skidaddle · 27/06/2007 15:02

motherofZ - do not fear, you are not alone, don't even know how much I've put on but weighed myself yesterday and am 61.5 kilos and I reckon I was 57 at the most before so that must be even more than 8lb? Anyway you're supposed to put on weight so don;t worry - we'll just have lovely big healthy babies

Bettymamma · 27/06/2007 15:41

I agree skidaddle. (Also 2lb weight gain - is this weighing at night or in the morning? after dinner or before!!)

Neuro · 27/06/2007 15:50

I"m in the 8lb club too so don't worry. It's gone on my face (grrr), bum and breasts. Am very curvy right now. Arms and legs same size though..for how long i wonder

Neuro · 27/06/2007 15:53

We have a proper old fashioned weighing scales thing in our office kitchen. I spend a penny and put my hand bag down first. Doesn't make any difference tho

Neuro · 27/06/2007 15:55

Anyway, all the fat doesn't matter as the babies will be suck it all off. I'll be shouting 'go on my son, eat my fat' at the little bruiser when he/she turns up.
This week i'm thinking it's a boy. Not for any particular reason.
Shit, must get on with work.
Thing is, i'm thinking it's tea o'clock and what can i eat?

Neuro · 27/06/2007 15:58

sorry for swearing. Really going away now...

suey2 · 27/06/2007 16:33

I think it is only 2lb because i have been off work with a broken wrist and unable to exercise as too shattered: I actually think i have lost muscle. Due for my midwife appointment and will weigh myself again tomorrow am, naked, first thing.

cazzybabs · 27/06/2007 16:52

I had my 16 (or actually 17) week check tody and heard the heart beat. It was 150 - could be a boy!!!! i can't wait to spent the next 23 weeks guessing - probably wrongly!

I don;t want to know but I like the guessing!

skidaddle · 27/06/2007 16:58

cazzy - can you guess the sex from their heartrate then? Who has the fastest? Heard mine's a few days ago too - much more exciting than my rubbish scan!

Are you not going to ask the sex at your 20 week scan then? We're going to get the songrapher to write it down for us and put it in an envelope and then decide if we want to read it or not (I'll probably last until we get to the main entrance of the hospital!!)

bambino1andbump · 27/06/2007 17:47

Hi guys! I haven't been on for ages but thought i would come on and catch up. I will be 16 weeks on sat but I don't feel pregnant at all. Would anyone else be worried about this. I do have a little bump but it doesn't seem to be growing.

mad4girls · 27/06/2007 17:53

I often don't feel like i am pregnant either bambino1andbump. I guess i will only real feel it when it starts to move. Looking forward to hearing the heartbeat tomorrow, now- thanks cazzybabs and skidaddle

littleoldme · 27/06/2007 18:27

Greetings ladies. I'm usually on the nov thread ; I'm due on the 28th but have decided to crash as I know I'll be late.

Hope everyone is ok.

Louise - I'm deliberately not scaring myself by looking into things too much. what will be will be. If It's any consolation my freind had her baby at home in 4 hours and went from 4cm to baby being born in 10 mins! Another freind went from fully dilated to birth in 40 mins. There are positive stories out there too.

I've found a book called ' Birth and beyond' by Yeudhi Gordon really positive on the birth stuff.

macdoodle · 27/06/2007 18:28

oh god another panic moment - just reading thread on hospital bag and oh bye panic heart rate sweaty palms .....oh god still not really come to terms with this having another baby ....time is rushing past - (D)H and me all up in air may be alone ....oooohhhh too much

Caz10 · 27/06/2007 18:36

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only hairy tummied person out there!! I'm more embarrassed about MWs etc seeing that than anything further down!!

Not feeling v pregnant either - but hopefully midwife will be letting me hear heartbeat tomorrow....scared...!

Skidaddle - a faster heartbeat is supposed to be a girl. DD2 was around 160, can't remember with DD1 but hers kept slowing down anyway - not sure if 150 is slow enough for a boy or not?

MotherofZ · 27/06/2007 20:21

Am feeling very pregnant with the weight I am putting on...

BeachBunni · 27/06/2007 20:27

Everyone's been very busy today - do any of you lot do any work?? All that talk of brazilians was enough to make my eyes water. I just get dp to shave it! He gets a kick out of it and I'm just lazy.

All the talk of weight, I just had to go and check and I have put on a stone (what's that, about 7lbs - eekk) Unfortunately none on the boobs. I went from one day complaining I have no bump to maternity trousers the next day. My belly no longer creases at the waist when I sit but somewhere under my ribs and feels very strange.

Awen your scan photo looks fab. All you can see in mine is this huge dark shadow that is my bladder taking up half the picture. Even the mw commented I'd done a good job of filling it up.

Macdoodle I feel so sorry for you. I used to get utis almost constantly for a while and it is so painful. Makes you feel really grotty.

Buzzybee I totally understand about you not telling work. Hope you don't think I was being nosey. I work in a very female environment which is great cos you can share a lot of that sort of stuff. Dp would blush if he heard what we are talk about sometimes.
