didnt think you did hence the pregnant brain comment.

MotherofZ · 26/06/2007 12:58

Actually had Greggs on the brain was trying to decide whether to have a cake or pasty...or both.....lol

MamaMaiasaura · 26/06/2007 12:59

I would go for cakes x 2

Neuro · 26/06/2007 13:00

And you've cut me off the top too!!!
Will add myself back in sigh these mad preggers ladies*
This week my clothes are all definitely tighter (low cut tops look rather great so taking full advantage for now...) The pounds are going on overnight eeeeeeeeek. It's like the last 3 months of overeating have suddenly appeared on hips, bum and breasts...
It's getting harder and harder to hold tummy in at work, still haven't told them. I couldn't work out why it sticks out after a meal considering the stomach is way above where i thought it was, but then realised where my intestines are. Doh.
My skin has been horrible lately, all spotty but only on one side (is this something to do with the side of your face that you tend to sleep on?), but am knocking back the water now i can stomach lots of it.
Pregnancy is WEIRD! I am obsessed with vitamins and minerals now and have turned into some sort of Food Bounty Hunter. I remind myself of one of my mum's jack russells ferretting about with a slightly crazed look in my eyes. SUCH a good look!
For those of you still feeling sick, have you tried seasickness bands? I'm feeling pretty alright now and have ditched them but i would say they were absolute life savers the last 3 months.
La la la

So it's not my fault then.....honestly awen ;)

Neuro · 26/06/2007 13:06

Bouncingturtle: this thing of strangers feeling pregnant bumps. This is gross! I"m going to get cross with people if they do it to me. I think it's outrageous and will just shout STOP and put my hand in front of me if i think someone's going to do it. I realise i sound a bit aggressive, but they wouldn't like it if i suddenly touched their breasts or arse would they?! I was going to write touch their penises, but...not sure i'd recieve that many complaints.
Ewwwwwwwww. I don't want anyone touching my body unneccessarily. Bleurgh!
Rant over

MamaMaiasaura · 26/06/2007 13:09

With lots of fresh cream.. mmm eclairs. I now know how come my 7 year old can sulk so well.. learnt from me.

Neuro · 26/06/2007 13:10

PLEASE don't mention Greggs, i've been so good with food this week and have to walk past the pasty shop shortly and i can't not take my purse with me.
Pray for me ladies please

Nbg · 26/06/2007 13:11

I've never had my bumps touched.

(ooooh er missus!)

Must be the look on my face

mad4girls · 26/06/2007 14:12

hello ladies
sorry didnt get back on last night wish i had now, pecka sorry i didnt mean to make out babymad was the one who ran off with him sorry to confuse you, she is happily married, and its true what she says she did pick up the pieces(she was the one whos doorstep i was crying on v.early in the morning when i found out ex was cheating)

babymad -appologies i didnt mean to make out the other woman was you that wasnt my intention, but apprently im good at that, sticking my foot init that is

hope you and family are welll, the nursery looks goegeous, i wish you a happy birth and healthy baby, i hope it makes your family complete. take care....

thelady · 26/06/2007 14:15

17 weeks today: yup, trous definitely getting tighter and bump harder (more tadpole and less flab, methinks) by the week.

Thanks for the sympathy re. staff. I don't think anyone in the meeting was totally satisfied, so that's a good start. Still to type up minutes and distribute - another meeting in 4 weeks to check progress or lack of it.

Just contacted NCT - nearest classes are over 40 miles away. Yuck. Registered anyway, as they fill up really fast, and if we can get a Tues evening (55 miles away!) then DH and I can go together. I really don't want to have to go alone .

skidaddle · 26/06/2007 15:00

Thanks for all the suggestions for wedding dresses - have been trawling through ebay etc but no joy. Think I will give up for now..

Loucee - thought it was 160 not 140bpm - oops!! I have been trying to keep in under 150 though but I think more than that it's about knowing your own body and when you're doing too much. I am beginning to wonder if I am pushing myself a bit too much. I have a short cycle into the office every day which is fine except for one realy really steep hill and by the time I get to the top of it I am half dead!!But the alternative is getting a bus and then walking for 25 mins which is not appealing. I'll see how I get on... not running much because of sore boobs but do a lot on the step machine and cross trainer which are great.

Thanks for the tips on posture and abdominals suey2 - I do have a tendency to stick my hips forward so will watch that.

buzzybee - glad you've made your mind up and worth remembering that the risks of m/c after an amnio are very low too. It's a long time to wait (and to hold your tummy in!!) but if you can manage to sit back and relax, that is definitely the best way. Hope you're feeling a bit better now you know what you're going to do at least.

neuro and bouncing - I LOVE it when people touch my tummy (well once it is a nice hard bump anyway) although it never happened very much with dd. I think it is nice that people want to give my baby a little pat although he (I'm sure it's a boy this time) probably thinks, bugger off I'm trying to sleep you interfering old bat - always seems to be older women that do it..

Bettymamma · 26/06/2007 15:42

Hi ladies - can i add myself in and metaphorically straddle the Dec-Jan thread?

My scan yesterday gave me a due date of new years eve. Look forward to getting to knowing you all. If I deleted anyone off the list can i blame Awen in the doughnut corner?!

Good to see you here date buddy

BeachBunni · 26/06/2007 21:37

Aaahh I wish all you keep-fit fanatics would sop making me feel bad. It's an effort for me atm to take my shoes off and turn on the telly after a hard day at work.

I've had loads of people touching my belly already. It's so annoying - how come nobody wanted to touch it when it was all firm and flat . A friend of dp's pulled my top up the other night without warning and kissed my belly (she was a bit drunk). I was a bit shocked, especially as I'm trying to hide my increasingly hairy stomach.

Glad you've reached a decision buzzybee. I know people who've been for amnio's and thankfully they've been fine. Be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. Why are you not telling work? Will you not need some time off after to take it easy for a couple of days?
