Hello all and welcome to this month's thread!!
Let's all stop feeling sick and start expanding now

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
jinxed · 13/06/2007 16:26

16 week ante-natal check done today.

Baby is a little blighter already - kept hiding from the dopler! Took a good 10 minutes to find it!

Everything else all ok though, was really pleased.

Roll on scan in 3.5 weeks!

Ambi · 13/06/2007 17:04

Crazy dreams here too, and libido rise (hurrah). 2nd Dating scan yesterday puts me at 15 weeks, frightening that next week is 4 months!! Not really showing, just a little chunkier (nothing really new there then.)but waist has disappeared. I really want a bump, but know when I've got a cumbersome bump and cannot see my feet, I'll be wishing otherwise.

Congrats and good luck on the twinnies Castanet, Twice as much fun, and joy. I've given up trying to remember posters on here, it moves so fast, I will end up offending someone.. So I will have to float in and out now and again, oooh will update my date tho as I've moved up a couple of dates.

Glad everyone sounds pretty good. Look after yourselves, preggie laydeez

Housemum - yes I remember the horny 2nd trimestre from last time round

Neuro is obviously as good as her word as not a peep out of her today - probably too engrossed in the dogging sites

Neuro · 13/06/2007 18:01

Hello all
I've been lurking, but also been v industrious at work and have had praise from my boss. Hurray for me.
Err dogging is where people hang around car parks at night watching other people um have sex. But i was only joking, i wouldn't participate in that. Prolly just stick to swinging .
Tomorrow I shall spend early morning trying on outfits so i def don't look preg in front of my mainly female college class. Just don't want the attention or any fawning.
Oh and of course will be daydreaming and getting nervous about my scan on Friday. Still, no blood or anything's fallen out this week, so fingers crossed.
I'M NOT ON THE BIG DUE DATE LIST. sniff. (am i supposed to add myself?).
i'm so hungry my own arm is looking tasty, i need to go and find a large plate of carbohydrates to gorge on.
G'night ladeez XXX

Bouncingturtle · 13/06/2007 19:11

Yes you add yourself!

DH has just come home with a dozen roses, a box of luxury fudge (my faves!) and a Thank You card saying "Thank you for being our baby's mummy". He's just the best!

peanutbutter · 13/06/2007 19:26

hello all, just altered my details a little so have re-pasted. Neuro i scrolled down through your posts but I couldn't see your due date so couldn't add you on - sorry if it's there and I missed it

Pecka - such good news, well done!

Mad4girl - get yourself to the dentist, after all it's free atm!!

mad4girls · 13/06/2007 23:24

no point they cant give you any treatment when pregnant and i wont have anything done anyway i have to be put to sleep when i have any work done

dont think bubs like it though as giving a good bounce now

BeachBunni · 14/06/2007 10:03

Been sooo busy with work lately and looks like I've missed loads.

Congratulations for everyone who has had their scans. CASANET - wow fantastic news - . I'm sure you nearly fell off the bed!

Belly definately expanding now. Trousers that fit me last week have had to be packed away out of sight for a year or so.

Mad4girls. I have every sympathy with the tooth ache. I have a filling that is starting to come out of one of my molars and they won't touch it because it's mercury. Really worried it will have to be pulled after the six months like what happened to a girl I work with.

Been feeling strange bubbly feelings at night low down in my stomach. I always thought if it was your first you didn't feel something til much later on. Don't think it's wind as nothing coming out IYKWIM and it's lower down than that.

Did anyone see the report on the BBC news yesterday morning about midwives? They showed this woman who had just given birth and was getting emotional and weepy at seeing her baby. I just broke down. It was lovely, getting all filled up just thinking about it.

MotherofZ · 14/06/2007 14:13

Hello everyone,
Am back after having a lovely holiday in Thailand and Malaysia - so beautiful and coming back to this depressing weather . Was a bit paraniod about food while out ther, so stuffed my face quite a bit on McDonalds. Can't do the top buttons on trousers - so not sure if it is bump or all the Big Macs I've eaten...!!
Actually really been missing a good spud while on holiday (all I do is think about food)...off to get one..yum yum.

mad4girls · 14/06/2007 14:23

hello ladies
please keep me sane as i cant take it anymore

tooth kept

me awake all night and woke up and cant stop being sick, have also pulled a muscle from my groin to just under my boob now everytime i breath/retch it feels like ive got 2 broken ribs

im in absolute agony the paracetomol isnt even taking the edge off, i cant eat anything as i dont have many teeth anyway so cant chew and i mananged a cup of tea earlier but that came back up, so now feel starvin

sorry to moan but feeling very sorry for myslef dont normally complain about being ill but i just cant take tooth ache especially when nothing can be done or taken for it

Bouncingturtle · 14/06/2007 14:38

Oh poor you! I'm sure that there must be something you can take, maybe you should see the GP? GP prescribed me codeine because I was getting awful migraines upto a couple of weeks ago.

mad4girls · 14/06/2007 14:51

think ill ring docs now
thanx bouncing turtle

mad4girls · 14/06/2007 14:57

got an apoointment in half hour but will have to fetch kids first
luckily docs is next to scool will update u later

macdoodle · 14/06/2007 14:58

dentist prob better than GP??? Good luck toothache a bugger!

mad4girls · 14/06/2007 19:31

ok got the doc to give us some codiene and spoke to emergency who dentist who say i can ring first thing and get an appt with them even though im not registred and said they should be able to do soemthing

not sure how much use the codiene will be now anyway because i cant keep anything down throwing up left right and centre which is makin me feel worse can see myself ending up in hospital with dehydration at this rate

Caz10 · 14/06/2007 21:10

Oh mad4girls what a week! I hope the pain is easing off.

Congrats to all these successful scans, esp TWINS wow!! Are you excited or scared to death?!

Can I ask those experienced mums, how do you know when your uterus has moved up? I certainly have a bump now but it's more like further up, does that mean my uterus has shoved everything up the way when it moved?! (I'm 14 + 3).

Very exited to hear all of those feeling little flutterings, I can't wait!

Oh Neuro, I took off my seasickness bands too and promptly felt awful so they haven't been off since! I'm scared it's all in my head and I'll end up wearing them till the baby comes! Where is my 2nd trimester glow and surge of energy please???!!!

BeachBunni · 14/06/2007 21:38

Def go to the dentist mad4 incase you have an infection that's causing you pain. I know what you mean about having no teeth. I have a hiatus hernia and because the pipe in my throat doesn't close over properly the acid rises into the back of my mouth and has destroyed my back teeth. That's why I'm so worried about getting my molar out. I'll have none left on that side. No steak for me!!

mad4girls · 14/06/2007 21:57

that sounds similar to me beachbunni
i speny many years with an eating disorder and making myslef sick which rotted alot of my teeth plus the only thing i would drink is cocacola to hide the smell of sick so had alot of my adutk teeth out as a result

i only have 17 and half teeth (this half is causing the problem)honestly my kids have more teeth than me

also think it might be infected as the roof of my mouth seems swollen so finding i cant eat anything although i managed about 10 chips at 5 but they came as well not a nice experience

but im thinking even if they send me away with antibiotics that should helpwith the pain right ?

BeachBunni · 14/06/2007 22:07

Antibiotics will help with the pain although may take a day or two to kick in. Toothache is the only pain I can't cope with. Last time I had an infection I gargalled vodka round my mouth. It hurt like buggery but actually seemed to help by numbing it a bit.

skidaddle · 15/06/2007 08:19

oh dear mad4girls - sounds absolutely horrendous - hope the codeine has improved things a little at least

caz10 -I think that is exactly what has happened (uterus has pushed everything up). You should be able to feel you uterus poking out of your pelvis now (maybe about halfway towards your belly button) but your bump will be higher and wider than this for the reasons you say.

Went to the theatre last night and noticed all the shops were open on the way so popped into H&M and got some maternity jeans - oh the relief!! they are brill - proper full stretchy waistband ones - and are so so comfortable and I don't have to remember to do up my top button now when i leave my office - hurrah!!!

Feel like the 2nd trimester bloom may be approaching, crossed fingers, skin good, hair shiny, sickness gone, energy levels improving - anyone else?
