hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:10

yeh, get her to bed nice and early and settle down on here.

my children are behaving oddly. especially DS2. Wondering if he's coming down with something.

have cleaned kitchen walls as diversion tactic (so I can be diverted away from them!)

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 16:17

Hopefully she'll go to bed early, but early for her is 8! I'm also pissed off because we have very little food and were supposed to go shopping this evening. I have just drunk the last of the milk and squash! Looks like it's water for us to drink tonight!

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:17

I need some inspiration. What is everyone getting DH/DP for father's day?

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 16:17

A kick in the nuts!

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:18

LOL

justbeme · 31/05/2007 16:18

Afternoon you chatty lot!!
Been to the hospital today for final scan - LO's head is down but not engaged and not yet past fibroid - but they want me to have a normal delivery and if poss NO CS!! I'd sort of got round to the idea of a CS - that wouldve been in 2 weeks - but now it oculd anything up to % weeks plus - so dont worry Foxy - I'll prob be last!!

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 16:19

I was going to get him the new fulham shirt, but I think my first suggestion is more apt!

justbeme · 31/05/2007 16:19

that should say 5 weeks plus

riabutterflew · 31/05/2007 16:29

Glad things are ok for everyone.

My lovely Dh took the boys away for an hour so I've had another nap. Still feel like poo. Maybe I'm laying down energy stores for labour? They came back with flowers too.

Foxy, that's one of the reasons I don't go to parks. What a silly cow. Unfortunately kids do that but you can't sit back and watch and then complain, she should have done what everyone else said. (I would have cried and come homebut that's my answer to most things). It's funny you mention cleaning your walls as a distraction - that's why I do all my cleaning. I can cope with them much better if I'm partially occupied elsewhere.

Sadly I have to go and COOK dinner. Bugger. Back later. x

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:34

Ria, sounds like you've had a lovely day. Sausages for dinner tonight (again)

riabutterflew · 31/05/2007 16:35

Father's Day - I hit matalan the other week and got DH a t-shirt that says "dad - king of the unfinished project" (oh so true in our house. If I can find them on ebay I want some chef tshirts too that say "fork it" and "it's not illegal to toss salad"). DH likes t-shirts, honest! I got one for my dad that says "real dads don't read instructions" and another guide bood for NZ and a natural toothbrush!

Gifts are always weird or predictable here, and always cheap.

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:39

LOL re the t-shirts. I like the idea of weird or cheap - i tend to go with predictable as DH is sooooo difficult to buy for.

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:43

I like that Ria - I always call my DP 'half-job'.

Oh yes, cleaning is a good way of avoiding interaction with children! I used to particularly like baking because I'd feel especially "mumsy" and virtous knocking up plates of scones and victoria sponges.

The things we do to avoid our offspring!

Poor DS2 has dropped off to sleep. Not sure what to do with him now, he won't go to sleep tonight if he sleeps now. Perhaps he's getting sick after all.

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:44

DP is away with the kids on father's day, I have a weekend to myself! yeeee-haaa! They are back on the sunday (or before if baby comes).

Holly, how easy is it for you to get the train to Forest Hill/East Croydon? Am thinking about our trip to the Horniman Museum in the summer.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 16:45

Foxy....not ignoring you...been off paying for our week in Staithes and booking our ferry for our holiday in October....very odd putting in the baby's passenger details when she isn't even born yet...lets hope we're right about the sex, LOL.

LOA is Left Occiput Anterior...i.e her back is facing to the left of the front of my bump....40% of babies are in this position at birth and its the easiest and quickest position according to my MW and Prof Regan.

westcoaster · 31/05/2007 16:47

Yahoo - have managed to stretch the afternoon out with coffee at friend's & in-laws so junior quite happy to do a bit of 'craft' until tea time. On the home stretch now for the whole tea, bath, bed malarkey. Have got strange sort of 'period pain' - can't decide whether it's just from walking back, baby's head engaging or what... DH away overnight on Saturday so just my luck that it'll all kick off then.

Here's to a quiet evening for all of us...

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 16:52

Take it easy westcoaster....you don't want any other scares

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:53

Hmm, perhaps baby is moving downwards ready for the great leap forward Westcoaster!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 16:53

Derlor's been quiet today ?????

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:55

I can report not hearing anything from her or Mr Derlor by text message!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 16:58

Is she telling you when she's going in t hospital...or is she having a home birth?

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 17:01

She's going in I think. Am fairly sure. Her DP has my number too. Though he refused to put it in his phone as 'Foxy' I think!

She's there, just watching and waiting ... getting ready for tomorrow!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 17:04

westcoaster...Lulu has been looking for you on your prolapse thread......

westcoaster · 31/05/2007 17:09

Hope Derlor is OK - keep us posted Foxy.

Daisy - good news on your 'optimal positioning' - all that ball bouncing must be working!

By the way - am hoping that there will be no great leaps - forward or otherwise!

westcoaster · 31/05/2007 17:13

Daisy - LOL at 'my prolapse thread' - what has my life come to!!!!!
