hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foxybrown · 31/05/2007 13:52

Whilst I was at the park today some precious mum thought to tell me my children were horrible!

they were playing Power Rangers with their friends and her 2 yo got in the way and became an accessory to the game (they were saying "he's the baddy, get him" - No physical contact was made BTW).

Now, I don't think my children should have been saying that, no, no, I'd rather they all played ring-a-ring-o-roses with him of course, but thats how kids are FFS.

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 13:54

AND NOW THE FARKING SOFA COVER HAS RIPPED AS I'VE SHAGGING WELL TRIED TO TAKE IT OFF TO WASH IT!

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 13:57

OMG foxy! That's a bit harsh! I hope you gave her a bitch slap! If my dd get's involved in big kids play I just go in and remove her, no need for insults! Stupid witch !

My kit was delivered in a massive toolbox with loads of compartments. I kinda wish I hadn't have looked in it now! Hopefully none of it will be needed!

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 13:58

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!!! For you foxy!

westcoaster · 31/05/2007 13:58

Hi all - thanks for your messages on t'other thread. Still not sure whether my innards have become 'outards' but the hosp. were very reassuring when I phoned them & things seem a bit more normal today. Was too hyped last night to let DH have a look (he'd had a really bad day and I didn't want to tip him completely over the edge!!) but may make his night tonight! Just seems so blardy ridiculous that my body is suddenly so alien - I'm 40 and not exactly prudish so am a bit at getting so het up yesterday. Wonder if my poor old bod will ever get back to normal....

Having said all that read Vio's thread and it slams all my silly worries into perspective. So heartbreaking to read her excitement and then the realisation that little James has EB.

Hope you're all well this arvo - sounds like we're beginning to get a few twinges here and there... Birthing balls at the ready, goils!

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 14:00

Exactly! I would have taken my lo away too, and had done with it. And I've have given the bigger ones a telling off, but they get lippy at this age and say "you're not the boss of me".

I told her she should have told me at the time and I would have handled it. So she was wrong

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 14:07

Glad you are ok westcoaster, that sounds like it gave you a bit of a shock! Hope it doesn't happen again.

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 14:07

oh good Westcoaster! Am glad you are feeling better about it. Any idea whats happening down there? Perhaps its a vein or something? What did the hospital say?

westcoaster · 31/05/2007 14:15

TMI ALERT

Apparently things can get 'distorted' (ewww) and 'overly swollen' (double ewwww) down there - especially if it's not your first and you're an older mum. Basically what they are telling me is a longer version of DH's comment of last week - 'let's face it, you're probably ruined down there anyway'

Will just have to wait for DH to get home with miner's helmet & tracker dogs to see if he can find my cervix where it ought to be!!

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 14:28

OK WC! More TMI -

If its any comfort (!) mine's a lumpy mess too. I had a look at it the other day during a "personal grooming" session and was horrified. Am not surprised DP hasn't been near me in ages!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 14:29

Hi westcoaster...glad you're OK....did they not want you in for a check up then...when do you next see your MW?

Well that was a waste of time...my MW is off sick and they had an agency MW in covering, so no chance of a quick sweep, although she did say that baby's head is fully engaged now and given the BH I've been having I could go "at any time"...Dur, tell me something I didn't know already....

.....so next time I see someone will be Monday....that's MONDAY for my pre surgery assessment...unless I go betweeen now and then!

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 14:30

oooh how exciting Daisy! Do you actually want to go before Tues? How do you feel about it now?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 14:43

I think if I go before Tuesday I'll try for a natural birth. I did discuss the possibility of changing the c-section date to just after my due date, ie the following week to give me a bit more time, but hospital protocol dictates that elective c-sections should be done at 39 weeks as this is the optimum time to minimise post dates complications......so no chance there!

BadZelda · 31/05/2007 14:59

Hello! Finally got time to catch up...horniman a bit awquard to get back from to where I live so I ended up walking about a mile home: am officially too pregnant for that! Still DD had a great time; checking out the sea creatures and running around the gardens. Foxy: Agreed; definitely a good plan for when the babes are no longer bumps. Also 7/7 is a GREAT date for a birthday - mine is 7/7/73 and I have always thought all those sevens make me lucky ;)

bumperlicious · 31/05/2007 15:24

Hello again

Just got back from town. Went to a singing class, just an amateur thing, but lots of fun, then made the mistake of popping into Tescos and bought a heavy bagful of shopping (including a massive pineapple!) but now I'm knackered and bloody hurt! I hate that I can barely accomplish even the simplest of tasks like walking or getting a bit of shopping. Lord knows how you are managing at the gym Foxy, I'm dead impressed, I can't walk 10 minutes without feeling like an old bloody woman!

Hope your sofa is fixable btw!

Glad you are feeling a bit more reassured westcoater!

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 15:45

Pah! I'm WonderWoman me

having a fat day today anyway .

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 15:52

I've just been looking at the stats thread. Where has everyone gone???

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 16:01

I've noticed a few names around on childbirth threads etc, but they obviously don't want to talk to us any more .

I wonder what happened to Cocobear...she was around loads back in October/November, then nothing.

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:01

Just got back from town and am officially wiped out. Am now slobbed on the sofa and my legs are throbbing - wtf, i didn't walk that far!

Westcoaster, glad things are a bit better and MWs not worried.

Daisy, how exciting, will you be baying at the moon tomorrow night?

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 31/05/2007 16:02

Oh...one thing MW did say...bub is LOA....optimum position for quick and easy birth....how could I forget that gem of a piece of information.

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:03

Good news Daisy. This LO is still flipping around daily!

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:03

whats LOA?

hollyandalice · 31/05/2007 16:04

They'd best not all be off having babies in secret!

My dd won't go to sleep. She's been awake all day and I'm knackered and just need a nap. Dp has just phoned me and told me he is going to see his friend who is going away on monday for ages. She lives in Yeovil so he's gonna stay there overnight. I'm pretty pissed off. Twunt. I hope I have the baby tonight, that'll piss him off.

annobal · 31/05/2007 16:08

Holly, will she go to bed early if she doesn't have a sleep, especially if DP away tonight? Can you put on tv or dvd and have a rest on the sofa?

foxybrown · 31/05/2007 16:10

yeh, get her to bed nice and early and settle down on here.

my children are behaving oddly. especially DS2. Wondering if he's coming down with something.

have cleaned kitchen walls as diversion tactic (so I can be diverted away from them!)
