I have been losing pears they have been nice and refreshing and juicy to snack on

Littlebump2018 · 10/06/2018 11:42

Just checking in :). 9 days till our dating scan! 🙊

polkadotjersey · 10/06/2018 15:49

@Smor87 and @Emz1989 I'm 7+3 so very close to you two. I've had nausea on and off since before I missed my period but this last week or so has definitely been worse. I've not been able to eat much this week, just craving salty snacks and occasionally fruit.

Ash1992 · 10/06/2018 15:58

Anyone got any tips on nausea? To stop feeling sick all day long or to actually stop vomiting?
Please any suggestions thanks
It's so overwhelming the sickness I'm 8 n a half weeks today someone please tell me it's going to ease off in the next week.

isambardo · 10/06/2018 18:31

Cravings are a funny thing aren’t they? Pretty sure I’ve not had cravings this early before. Later with ds1 it was all pickles and natural yog. Ds2 I wanted sweets and biscuits as ds1 was 1 and I was knackered!
This time around I’m already really off lots of things but craving grapefruit and other citrus fruit, and bacon and avocado sandwiches. I guess the body wants what it wants!

LeeCee · 10/06/2018 19:08

Checking in too. 10 weeks tomorrow and going for an early scan on Wednesday. Fingers crossed for lovely reassuring all good news!

Ash1992 · 10/06/2018 19:26

@Leecee do you still have sickness at 10 weeks ?

LeeCee · 10/06/2018 19:32

Hey @Ash1992 it hasn't been too bad, peak for me was 8 weeks. It helps if I eat before I get up. Have a packet of ginger nut biscuits by the bed!

Ash1992 · 10/06/2018 19:44

@leecee yes I'm 8 1/2 It's definitely been the worst week :( r u still feeling nauseous after the peak

Upsydasiy · 10/06/2018 20:28

@Ash1992
Mine also peaked around 7/8 weeks.
Hoping it eases soon.
Have you tried seabands?

LeeCee · 10/06/2018 20:31

@Ash1992 no not much in the last week at all. Just the old mild wave. Nothing today at all so hopefully it's behind me now

gemsparkle84 · 10/06/2018 20:37

Hey ladies checking in Smile

How strange I've also been craving apples, I'm not normally a fruit eater but I've been really wanting them the last couple of weeks. I had a scan at EPAU last week, I lost some brown discharge for a few hours. Had a scan at 7+3 and all looked well with no sign of a bleed.

I'm now 8 weeks and generally feeling tired, hungry and just pretty rubbish.

Sending good wishes to all having early scans xx

Ash1992 · 10/06/2018 20:37

@upsydaisy yes I wear them constantly but I'm still being sick I think I've got them on my pressure points. Maybe they just don't work for everyone
@leecee your so lucky I hope mine passes soon too.

Upsydasiy · 10/06/2018 21:20

@ash1992 they don’t really work for me either. Im on a range of meds and after two admissions I’m hopefully on the up, although having a really bad day today so totally get how you feel. I’m nauseous from the moment I wake up, isn’t the first trimester fun 😜 be so worth in the long run ❤️ Xx

Upsydasiy · 10/06/2018 21:21

@leecat you’ve given me hope that mine starts to subside with in the next week or so.
Although with hypermesis I’m also well aware it could continue 🤢🙈

esmith900 · 10/06/2018 21:48

Hi all. Just checking in. I'm using the Android app and finding it quite confusing to navigate! Not sure I'm doing this right haha.
I'm due 13th Jan, first pregnancy and also first of all my friends and family so needless to say I'm pretty scared! Excited too though. 😊

Ash1992 · 10/06/2018 21:54

@upsydaisy are you on anti sickness medication

Kate0706 · 11/06/2018 00:49

@smor87 , hi :) firstly congratulations!
I am 10+1 with my first unplanned baby. I have had moments of total meltdown in the last few weeks, I am happy about the pregnancy and feel excited but now and again I have this overwhelming feeling of fear and worry. I made a thread on here called having a meltdown and got some fab replies which really did help. It’s all apparently very normal to feeling up and down and be worried xx

emdoc · 11/06/2018 04:56

Hello all, thanks for the new thread! And welcome to the new arrivals 😊

I've not had a very good few days, I do seem to still be pretty dependent on meds. Didn't take them due to night shift Friday night and forgot them at home Saturday night while visiting a friend and both days following I was vomiting all day 😩

I'm 10+4 now and was hoping for some improvement! Fatigue off and on. I haven't had many cravings, the last few days it's all I can do to even think of something I want to eat.

Still counting down time to our scan on 27 June and the screening results, would like to tell some more friends! I'm pretty sure my friend whom I visited caught me dumping out a beer and filling it with lemonade so she probably has an idea haha 😝

Smor87 · 11/06/2018 08:15

@Kate0706 thanks for the reassurance :) problem is I'm not having any ups at all, whenever I am reminded I'm pregnant or whenever I think about it it's just terror!! I wake up every morning with thoughts about money, my brain just can't rest!

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 09:09

@emdoc what medication are you taking

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 09:22

There are no doctor appointments available and I keep being sick don't know what to do even fluid don't stay down for long

Kate0706 · 11/06/2018 09:51

@ash1992
Can you ring your midwife ? Or perhaps ask the receptionist to speak to the doctor for you it’s quite urgent that your sorted out

Frenchiemamax · 11/06/2018 10:24

Ash if you think you’re becoming dehydrated call 111 x

Upsydasiy · 11/06/2018 10:31

@ash1992
I’m on anti-sickness medications. It’s taken a while to get a regime that works for me.
If you can’t keep anything down even fluids you might need admitting. IVe been admitted twice now. First time was out of hours so I rang 111 who got me seen out of hours and sent me to a&e where I got admitted. Second time I couldn’t get a gp appt. I hadn’t keep anything including fluids down for nearly 48 hours so DH took me to a&e, was admitted again. I don’t think I realised how ill i was until I was re-hydrated.
I’m having a few bad days again but just focusing on trying to keep fluids in I’m due back to work this week after been signed off and am desperate for a bit of normality back in my life.
