checking in again too. I'm just back from a week at a festival which was odd with no drinking, but very chilled as a result!
Anyone else feeling queasy in the evenings not the mornings? At least it helps with the whole getting to work thing but makes my down time rather miserable!

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 12:08

No one helps no gp appointments available epu said if I'm dehydrated ring 111

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 12:11

@upsydaisy are you feeling better now though? How many weeks are you

Kate0706 · 11/06/2018 12:27

@ash1992
If your not able to keep down fluids then you really need to get yourself checked out whether that’s from ringing 111 or attending a&e off your own back. Sometimes you just have to take a stand and take responsibility for your own health, if the gp won’t see you and the midwife can’t help then take the next steps and attend a&e

Jebbs · 11/06/2018 12:30

@gilljill1980 Me too for the evenings. Generally feel ok in the morning then start to go downhill in the afternoon and depending on the day, the evening can lead to me feeling quite sorry for myself. Result is that if I throw up it's at night and I now hate brushing my teeth as it tends to be the thing that sends me over the edge :-(

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 12:53

I'm keeping little bits or fluid down it's just that I don't feel like drinking water or anything

jellyfish2210 · 11/06/2018 12:55

I am 11 weeks tomorrow and have really struggled with nausea from first thing in the morning till about 10-11 then it comes on again about 3pm through until bedtime. I've been trying to eat a bigger lunch as this is one of the few meals of the day that I have not been sick with. I have my first scan two weeks today and I'm so excited to see baby!! Feels like it's been the longest time ever since we found out!

Olivecake · 11/06/2018 12:58

Hi all - congratulations on your pregnancies! I’m nervously joining this thread, due Jan 26th. Currently very nervous as I had a MMC previously with my first pregnancy but really hoping it works out this time.

@ash1992 it sounds like you could have HG - I’ve been diagnosed with it and also had it in my first pregnancy. Highly recommended checking out the Hyperemesis Support thread in the Pregnancy section, and this website- www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk - you can also call them for help and they are so knowledgeable about everything related to pregnancy sickness and will help you get the help you need

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 13:18

@olivecake thanks
I'm currently on anti sickness medication phenergen but feels it doesn't do much

Upsydasiy · 11/06/2018 13:32

@ash1992 if your worried your dehydrated go to a&e that’s what I end up doing as I couldn’t get an appt and knew I was dehydrated.
Hyperemesis is hard, I’ve not eaten properly in weeks. I’m slowly starting to feel better but having a couple of bad days
With your medication if it’s not working request to try a different one. I’ve swapped and changed till I have found the right combination of medications that work for me. I eat what I can when I can but don’t get myself to worked up now about it as long as I’m keeping fluids down. I’m 9+4 so hoping it eases soon but I know with hypermesis that it can continue. I’m just taking each day as it comes 😊
Just keep trying fluids and keep yourself hydrated it’s warm and getting dehydrated is no fun. If you still can’t keep fluids down this evening please seek help 😘

Upsydasiy · 11/06/2018 13:34

Anyone else struggling with the bloat. I look so much further than I am 😂🙈

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 13:40

@upsydaisy yes your right the weather certainly doesn't help. Neither does working and feeling sick

Olivecake · 11/06/2018 13:45

Totally agree with everything you said @upsydaisy - hyperemesis is so tough but it can be managed slightly better with the right medication for you and some rehydration. Don’t be afraid to go to hospital @ash1992 - a pregnant woman who can’t keep anything down is taken very seriously by the doctors

I miss having proper meals and drinks but getting by with the medication and small sips and nibbles

Cariadxx · 11/06/2018 13:54

I'm 7 weeks today, due the very end of January so just made it!! 1st pregnancy after 18m of trying so we're all a bit anxious.
I've been a bit worried as it's been pretty easy so far.... too easy. The withdrawal from caffeine in week 4 was probably the hardest as I couldn't stay awake by 2pm but it's fine now. Occasional waves of mild nausea but really nothing significant, no real cravings or aversions although I'm not fussed on chocolate but it could be the heat at the moment. Boobs are definitely bigger but not particularly tender. I'm sure to those who are struggling this sounds like a dream but I think I'd be less worried I'd I had more symptoms

Kate0706 · 11/06/2018 14:13

@Cariadxx
Congratulations! I’m sure once the symptoms hit you’ll regret wishing them upon your self haha but I do understand my best friend is similar to you and after one miscarriage she’s a wreck this time round. Her symptoms subsided for a few days and she was convinced something was wrong then laughed it off when she spent an entire day throwing up 🙈 early pregnancy is pretty crap in my opinion! I can live with the tiredness and even the nausea but the emotions are the issue for me. Can’t cope with the crying at everything and the constant worry xx

Leliana · 11/06/2018 14:20

Congratulations, @cariadxx! I must admit I've had a fairly straightforward time until now. I'm now on antibiotics for a UTI and they've upset my stomach, so I'm feeling genuinely rotten for the first time in this pregnancy (I'm 9+1). I'm in work and I really wish I could go home now and go to bed!!!

Soontobemumof4 · 11/06/2018 14:35

Had my booking appointment done, all straight forward again. Home birth discussed and agreed they'd push for me to have one as long as no other complications rear their heads Smile I kick myself for chickening out last time and going to hospital, so I'm going to try not to chicken out again.

Cariadxx · 11/06/2018 15:30

Thanks guys. I keep doing tests just to check but the line is getting stronger and stronger each time..... get a positive line before it's even reached the control line now so I know I'm just being silly Grin Funnily enough I have felt a bit queasy this afternoon but I’ve just finished night shifts and I was sat in the sun so it wouldn't be strange for me to feel a bit off in those circumstances

Ash1992 · 11/06/2018 16:23

Does anyone know if I can give a massage at 8 1/2 weeks pregnant

KLHT · 11/06/2018 17:44

@jojo7777777
Ok thanks. Are you still suffering with sickness at 9.4 weeks

mwnca · 11/06/2018 19:54

How old are you Jojo7777777? I'm 37 and a first timer. I wonder if there's a thread I can join for older first timers.
