The first thread is almost full, so here we go: post here if you're expecting a baby in January 2019!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ash1992 · 13/06/2018 20:01

@id1234 I'm really bad with vomiting at the moment especially evenings seek to be worse for me hope it passes soon

Frenchiemamax · 13/06/2018 20:03

I have been suffering with awful diarrhoea today, everything is going straight through me and the cramps are awful, hoping this is normal Sad

laurs2309 · 13/06/2018 20:19

Here's a random question... Is anyone else finding that the smell of their husband/oh makes them feel sick?! I tend to start heaving as soon as he gets too close even when he's just had a shower and cleaned his teeth!

laurs2309 · 13/06/2018 20:21

@Ash1992 I'm the same with the kitchen and fridge. Been shutting myself away upstairs when dh cooks and not coming down until the doors and windiws have been open for a good 30mins or so. Shame he won't live on toast and crisps like I am at the mo Grin

LG93 · 13/06/2018 20:23

My sympathies Frenchie - I've been the same today! Seems to have worn off this evening though.

Had my booking appt - was there for a record 2hrs45 mins as midwife couldn't get a vein for my bloods, so I was sent to get something to eat and drink and then had to wait for the specialist phlebotomist to be free to come and do it for me!

Frenchiemamax · 13/06/2018 20:23

Laurs not had that problem (yet)! Nothing would surprise me with this pregnancy though lol. Poor DH 🙈

helloworld88 · 13/06/2018 20:40

Haven't posted on this new one yet. 9w tomorrow. Had my booking in appointments the other week and my scan date through the post today - 10th July :) bloody ages away! Midwife put me down as due 19th January but don't think she put my cycle length into the equation so think it's more 17th January! Symptoms so far have been some tailbone pain (like it's bruised), good old nausea and tiredness!! Hope everyone else is doing well x

Hi all, not posted for ages so thought I would in honour of the new thread! I'm 11 +2 now and it's been bloody awful, constant nausea and tiredness, I think it's finally starting to let up! Glad to hear it's getting better for a lot of you guys too. I had a week off sick and I've worked for home this week, first day back in the office tomorrow for a meeting, hopefully will manage to function! The bloat is def real, I've bought maternity jeans already! x

Leliana · 13/06/2018 22:30

Gorgeous pic, @LeeCee, but I can see your name at the top of the scan - might be worth asking MNHQ to edit your post? Perhaps you could crop your name out and repost?

I was actually wondering if there would be any appetite amongst you all for a secret (so invisible to non-members) Facebook group? I am having to be very guarded in what I say here in case I out myself. It might be nice to be able to swap scan pics and share details like where we live. I could set up a group that only we (as members) could see, so friends and family wouldn't see it and guess you're pregnant. I think some of the other birth month threads have done it. Let me know what you guys think. xxx

LeeCee · 13/06/2018 22:39

@Leliana I just spotted that 🙈 so over excited I forgot to crop. I've asked Mumsnet to take it down but I don't know how long they'll take. Not sure I can do anything else! If anyone does recognise me please be so kind as to not out me IRL! Luckily we've told close family by now but still!!

HELP MUMSNET!

Frenchiemamax · 13/06/2018 23:05

Wow LeeCee that’s a gorgeous picture!! I’ve reported your post to MN hopefully they can take it down before it gets too much traffic. X

LG93 · 14/06/2018 07:42

@leilana I'd be up for a secret Facebook group - was thinking the same the other day funnily enough! If there's enough interest I'll set one up this evening ☺️

Pyxie · 14/06/2018 08:07

What a lovely scan pic LeeCee!

I'm definitely up for a fb group.

isambardo · 14/06/2018 08:13

I’d be up for a Facebook group too.

@LeeCee it’s so exciting getting an early scan! I’m 10+1 and absolutely busting to get to my 12 week scan.

@helbel42 glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. My nausea has massively eased in the last week which is a big relief, I feel functional again for the first time in two months! Bloat is worse all day though, my belly is huge, can’t wait for it to turn into a real bump. I think loads of friends must have guessed already, I can only wear baggy clothes.

stegosauruslady · 14/06/2018 08:21

Bleugh. Epic vomiting from me this morning. Only the third time I've actually thrown up though.

I had my booking bloods back, all fine (I don't have syphillis! Yay! Confused) my platelets are just on the bottom end of normal, so the midwife is going to test them again at my scan appointment. Apparently they don't actually need to do anything unless they drop like crazy though so I am not worried!

DP's friend gave him a load of horror stories about birth last night (its his first baby), happily he is too sensible to take it to heart much, but I really really wish that people wouldn't do that!

Frenchiemamax · 14/06/2018 08:43

stegosauruslady sorry to hear you’re suffering. I definitely underestimated how awful the sickness would be. Gaaah I wish people wouldn’t say things like that!!! I’m purposely avoiding any birth stories on MN as not to scare myself 🤦🏻‍♀️

laurs2309 · 14/06/2018 08:58

I'd be up for a Facebook group.

@stegosauruslady I know what you mean about people telling you the bad bits. All I ever seem to see and hear is how horrific childbirth is, then you'll never sleep again, your body will be ruined, your marriage never the same etc. It doesn't help especially in these early stages where you are already worrying about every little thing. I figure nobody would have multiple children if there wasn't something amazing about it Smile

Maxbenji · 14/06/2018 09:09

A facebook group would be much easier, I'm still part of the one we set up for Nov 15 babies for my first baby!
It's so supportive.
I cant wait for my scan, I'm not sure how many weeks I am! I have 2 apps and 1 says 11 weeks and 1 says 12... however i can't remember my lmp date and have only had 2 periods so dont really have a length of cycle.

Merrz · 14/06/2018 09:13

Hey guys, not posted for a while. 9 + 1 today and into my 3rd week of feeling utterly rubbish, please pass soon!!
What a lovely scan picture LeeCee
laurs yes I'm the same with DH's smell, i actually heaved when he came in from work last night 🙈

stegosauruslady · 14/06/2018 09:25

I'd recommend 'tell me a good birth story' on FB to counteract the horror stories. If it helps, I've had three lovely births, not too long, not particularly painful and recovered quick!

I'm in for a FB group too.

LJFM2B · 14/06/2018 09:28

@LeeCee Amazing isnt it!!! lovely picture of your little one, i wish i could upload mine but its not letting me - so proud already haha!!

@laurs2309 id be up for a facebook group - you can make them super private - a lady done it in a group i was in last year (unfortunately i had to come out of it but this time ill be sticking around)

Merrz · 14/06/2018 10:04

What are everyone's thoughts on an early scan? I keep looking and almost booking then changing my mind, they are £39 in my area just now so not really concerned re money. I would just be so worried i thought it was all ok then something went wrong before 12 weeks but seeing yours LeeCee has really made me want one Confused

Cariadxx · 14/06/2018 10:12

I wouldn't get an early scan. You see so many posts on here where it's caused stress and confusion that I'd rather wait. It's not going to change anything.

Frenchiemamax · 14/06/2018 10:13

I don’t think I’d be able to help myself re the early scan 😀
