Hi everyone, just got a bfp this morning after over a year of trying, so excited whilst trying to keep calm as I recently had a mc. This will be my second baby, would love to chat to others who have just found out too!! Xxx

I didn't know you could tag people that easily on the app - maybe I should check from my phone more often, have been trying to only check on the laptop to reduce obsessiveness! I acquired a couple of low sensitivity sticks to pee on (>1000) so I can see the line getting darker even when the ICs are ok, have't had the guts to see if the CB has gone up to 3+ yet though as only just at 5 weeks, might go for it tomorrow though.

We have a 7 week scan as we had IVF but I'm considering going for a scan at 6 weeks. Don't know how anyone copes waiting until 12 weeks.

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 07/06/2018 13:20

@hayleyfx I think they will always goes with last period date regardless of cycle length and just adjust it later on! Mine got moved back nearly a week at 12weeks scan with my first x

emalady · 07/06/2018 13:22

@hayleyfx how come you have seen a midwife already? We can't even refer ourselves until over 6 weeks! I would go with the midwife dates, you basically want to count as if your period started 2 weeks before you ovulated which won't be the actual date of your period if you have a long or short cycle.

hayleyfx · 07/06/2018 13:36

Thanks ladies. I’ll go with what my midwife says then in the meantime! I got myself more confused than necessary haha 🤦‍♀️

@emalady I think it must just be where I live, with both my pregnancies my midwife has given me an appointment between 4-6 weeks to give me my ‘pack’, work out EDD, weight, height, etc and then my next appointment is at 8-9 weeks. I guess it must be different everywhere!

welshweasel · 07/06/2018 13:38

Gosh I’m not even registered with a GP currently (in process of moving house) so not even thought about booking in with a midwife!! I’ve got a scan a week tomorrow at the ivf clinic when I’ll be 6+2 so if that goes ok I’ll book in I guess. I’ve got no more pee sticks left - got my 3+ at 4+6 so not sure there’s any point in doing any more.

Celebelly · 07/06/2018 13:52

I've got my appointment when I'll be just over 6 weeks and got my booking in pack when I went to new doctors last week to hand in registration. I think it depends on area.

Celebelly · 07/06/2018 14:18

Is anyone else getting quite a lot of discharge? I keep getting little gushes of milky white or really watery discharge which sends me rushing to toilet thinking it's blood!

PeggyO · 07/06/2018 14:38

@Celebelly yep! I'm getting that too- so glamorous.

I've contacted the GP early this time (I'll see them next Wednesday when I'll be 5+4) because here you have to see the GP before you can book the booking in appointment with the midwife. Last time around I saw the GP at 7 weeks and the earliest they could arrange my booking in was 11.5 weeks - and then my scan couldn't be booked till after that, so it didn't happen till nearly 14 weeks! I have learned my lesson this time around..

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/06/2018 14:53

Am I the only pregnant woman that isn't hot?? I'm bloody freezing!!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/06/2018 16:30

@Celebelly. I have the discharge too - a bit like fertile looking stuff. When it first happened I was like "What the heck" but I read it's normal. I've never had it during pregnancy before!

furandchandeliers · 07/06/2018 16:34

I have midwife tomorrow and I'll be 5+6, they take you from 6 weeks here but don't mind a day or two early.

Got my scan booked for 18th June so I'll be 7+3, I booked a private one because I have had blighted ovum before and just want to make sure there's an actual embryo this timeBlush

lanalawr · 07/06/2018 17:09

@hayleyfx The date will be confirmed at your scan. With DD I was originally given a due date two weeks earlier than I expected. My 12 week scan confirmed that (as I thought) I was actually just under 10 weeks so the dates were adjusted by the midwives then. Just be prepared that if your 12 week scan is too early, you'll have to go back for another one as they couldn't do the nuchal measurement before 12 weeks. On the plus side I got an extra chance to see dd!

Celebelly · 07/06/2018 17:52

@LookingAtTheStars89 I usually have cold feet and hands so it's hard to say! I'm always either too hot or too cold...

Squishandasquash · 07/06/2018 17:59

Tentatively joining the thread - got a faint bfp this morning, but period isn't actually due until Sunday/Monday. Think the due date would be around 16/18 feb. Don't want to get too overexcited yet though! This will be dc3 and it's our first month ttc. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Picklesandpies · 07/06/2018 20:04

@emalady can we hand hold if we both do a digital tomorrow? I am having kittens that something is wrong as mine had gone up to 2-3 when I expected it to but took one at lunchtime today and it was 1-2. Due Feb 6th I think. Feel rather sick with worry. Hoping it's a duff test or it's been skewed by it not being first morning urine. Wish I hadn't done it now! Paranoid because my last pg ended in mc and digital tests very slow to move up and I never made 3+ even at 7 weeks. Just have to wait and see! Good luck if you test!

hayleyfx · 07/06/2018 20:22

@lanalawr thank you!

@Squishandasquash welcome and massive congrats. Hope everything goes well for you and fingers crossed for a healthy, happy pregnancy 😊

@furandchandeliers my scan is 18th June as well!! So nervous. I should be between 7 weeks and 7+2 at that point. Fingers and everything else crossed for good news from both of our scans 🤞

Anybody getting headaches and dizziness? When I’m walking for more than 10 minutes now I could faint!! Almost fainted while walking the dogs today... oops 🤦‍♀️🤣

AKAlucy · 07/06/2018 21:44

@LookingAtTheStars89 I am also freezing! You are not alone there. It’s so nice reading all these messages. Reassured that I’m not the only one that doesn’t ‘feel pregnant’ - though as I’ve bever been pregnant before I wasn’t sure what I was expecting to feel. Very bloated though with little pains here and there which keep worrying me. Is anyone else struggling to keep their jeans buttoned up or did I just get a bit chubby?!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/06/2018 22:37

@Celebelly. I usually feel cold easily but this morning/afternoon I was sat in my coat lol.

@AKAlucy. I have little pains every now and then. Going to the loo has become something I despise as I'm terrified of bleeding. I also daredn' t wear my jeans as they were right befire and I'm worried they will put too much pressure on my tummy - stupid I know!

Celebelly · 07/06/2018 22:38

I have spent the last week living in things with elasticated waistbands! Thankfully I work from home so I can wear old joggers and let it all hang out Grin

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/06/2018 22:40

@Picklesandpies. I've bought another digital to do tomorrow and I am almost too anxious to do it!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/06/2018 22:42

@Celebelly Oh don't lol I still have a jelly belly from my DD so if I let it all hang out people might shriek 😂

Picklesandpies · 07/06/2018 23:19

@LookingAtTheStars89 I'll be right there with you. Fearing the worst, hoping for the best!

Picklesandpies · 08/06/2018 05:25

Test done and it was 3+. So relieved. I know it's not a guarantee but still nice to see as didn't get there last time. Is anyone else still getting the odd bit of period type pain at 5+ weeks? Good luck @LookingAtTheStars89 if you are testing soon x

emalady · 08/06/2018 06:52

@picklesandpies I got my 3+ this morning too! So relieved. No more tests now though, can only make it worse!! @lookingatthestars89 did you test again? Is it OK?
I should be 5+2 today and still getting some odd dull aches and cramps. Bought some lactulose as I'm convinced part of it is constipation. Got a big old bottle of gaviscon too as heartburn is coming and going. Definitely don't feel "pregnant" yet but I guess I do have some symptoms that should be reassuring!

Picklesandpies · 08/06/2018 07:04

That's great @emalady!
