I’m creating this thread so that we can continue the October 2018 baby bus. Only one page left on ours and once it completes we can’t share this link so getting this done now .... all aboard!

Perfect, thanks @ATP1000! Will pick some up today then Smile

Hope it cools in London for you! It's to drop to low 20s here in Glasgow and we have had a decent amount of rain again so much more bearable thankfully!

I had a scan today, went well. Baby's healthy and funny enough measuring exact week and day. I thought would be ahead given how enormous I've gotten.😱

Managed to get my midwife to measure my prolactin levels. So hopefully levels come back higher than before and I can try bf'ing this time.☺️

TinyTerror1 · 20/07/2018 14:39

@unicornchaser I've found the E45 itch relief quite good. When you first apply it it doesn't have an immediate calming effect (especially if you've been scratching...) but it kicks in fairly quickly and certainly helps me sleep at night. For me it's itchy boobs rather than belly.

Also completely with you on wanting a nice cold glass of wine or several! With the gestational diabetes I can't even have any sugary drinks really so it's diet pop and soda water for me, yay Hmm Gutted as the bar round the corner does awesome mocktails Sad

unicornchaser · 20/07/2018 17:29

Come on over @Milknosugar1, more the merrier!

Awe no @TinyTerror1, could you not even have an occasional 1 as a wee treat? It just makes the summer a bit rubbish when you can't enjoy it fully with everyone else (I sound like an alchy 🤣)
Just dropped the hubby & his mate at the airport for a wedding in Poland tomorrow. Would have loved it, but suspect being the sober, pregnant, sweaty one napping in the corner, I would just be a bit glum!

Havetothink · 20/07/2018 20:12

So I'm wallowing a bit in pregnancy self pity, any ideas how to snap out of it?

Just normal pregnancy. Feeling like a lead weight, the heat, the tiredness, off my food today. Had the 28 week bloods and whooping cough vaccine this morning so feeling like a pin cushion and my arm aches, aching hips and every time I try and relax the baby goes mad and churns my stomach. General self pity. It's probably just the heat, it's so nasty and humid and I'm trying to resist the ice cream for the sake of my expanding thighs.

Thanks milknosugar1 you're probably right about sleep, there were rumours of rain tonight but I think it must have evaporated before it got here. I've dropped half a dozen things today I'm so clumsy and had to do the undignified pregnancy squat every time to pick things up. I'm totally failing to concentrate at work and as nice as they are about it, it would almost be better if they just told me I was crap, they know it and I know it, roll on maternity leave ⏳

ATP1000 · 20/07/2018 23:04

I’m feeling useless at work too. It’s been months since I felt productive and now I’m half asleep by 3.30 every day. I’m having to go in tomorrow to catch up. I get paid on a bonus system twice a year, the last bonus was good but I only just scraped in on acceptable, there was definitely some goodwill there, I don’t know how this next one will go.

In other news....I just snapped the toilet seat, I didn’t think I was that heavy but maybe this is a sign!! 😅🙈 oh the joys of being pregnant !!

ATP100 that did make me laugh, I nearly fell off ours last week (it's come loose) but it hasn't snapped just yet.

DwangelaForever · 21/07/2018 10:50

Heartburn is driving me wild since I've done my GTT test

I used to take two tablets a day and it was fine, couldn't take them on Thursday due to my GTT.

Took first one as normal yesterday morning and felt it wore off quicker, needed to take one around 2 rather than 4/5. Woke up today and I'm murdered

Hayleyxmx · 21/07/2018 12:03

Strangest thing happened today after months of no sickness I was sick everywhere this morning. Please tell me the MS isn’t starting up again not in the 3rd trimester 😭😭

twobambinos · 21/07/2018 12:16

Oh sorry @hayleyxmx sorry I can't tell you. It does come back for some. Or never leaves for others. Hopefully it won't be too bad if it does stick around.

We had a lovely Week away in the sun. It makes a huge difference having the pool right outside your hotel doesnt it and no work also helps.

Be kind to yourself take it easy and cut yourself some slack that usually helps me snap out of it. And lock myself in a tidy room. It's usually the mess that makes me moody. And nesting is a compulsion or it feels like it.

When is everyone starting mat leave? I haven't fully decided just yet.

Oh sorry about the toilet seat I'm sure it wasn't you it was probably just ready to go. Grin

Thanks ladies. Hopefully it’s a one off fingers and toes crossed 🤞

EffRam · 21/07/2018 14:08

Hello all, hope everyone having a good weekend!

Anyone else suddenly feeling completely exhausted? I've been doing fine. The last week or two though, I am struggling! Ironically I was really busy and everything has now calmed down at work so it should be easier but instead I'm feeling like I just want to go back to bed every afternoon!

I did just drag myself to yoga and feel much better after that! Just having to be aware and pace myself a bit with plans. We go on holiday a week on Monday and I can't wait!!

Also just wanted to mention the baby wish list on Amazon - if you have prime they have free things that change every month I think if you spend 5/10 quid on things from the list, so I've just put everything in and buy something when the offer changes to get the freebie!

Havetothink · 21/07/2018 15:02

Yes, no rain, very disappointing. Managed a to grab an extra nap today while my dd was napping although she woke up crying (seems to have caught a cold). Haven't dared leave the house today for the heat out there, supposed to be something like 30° for the rest of the week Sad. My dd likes the cracks in the ground, she lays face down into them looking for wiggly worms I did try and explain it's too hot for the worms but she's determined to see them.

RhiBee29 · 21/07/2018 18:07

We had rain last night in South Wales and today it's hotter than ever 😩☀️

twobambinos · 21/07/2018 19:13

I picked up a few bits for the hospital bag today. I must really do a list. Lots of small bits and pieces needed and sure when I got to the shop I hadn't a clue what I was there for Hmm

Havetothink · 21/07/2018 20:38

How early are you supposed to pack the hospital bag? I left it really late last time

unicornchaser · 21/07/2018 21:58

I'm planning to start mine after 30 weeks @Havetothink.... want to wait till 32 weeks as I will just end up adding a rediculous amount of stuff to it if I do it to early. But on the same token, my friend had her first baby 4 weeks early last year so want it to be early enough for a surprise arrival!!

Havetothink · 22/07/2018 02:48

Anyone else suffering from middle of the night, out of the blue reflux? Most nights are fine then suddenly BAM get sick and have to leap out of bed and run to the loo. I did end up sleeping upright towards the end with my last pregnancy but it came on gradually not like this.
