I’m creating this thread so that we can continue the October 2018 baby bus. Only one page left on ours and once it completes we can’t share this link so getting this done now .... all aboard!

Havetothink · 17/07/2018 20:08

28+1 weeks and I've put on 1st 6lb and do not fit in my regular size 10 clothes. Just have to tell yourself it's mostly water.

unicornchaser · 17/07/2018 20:12

@Doll87 I am a few weeks behind, 25 weeks and 16lbs on so far (although additional 3lbs is from my holiday). I'm a former fatty and lost 4.5 stone a few years ago so getting really paranoid now seeing the weight creeping up again! Trying to stay chilled about it as I know it's healthy and normal and will go again after the baby but it's tough!

A friend sent me this calculator which is what I'm trying to use as a guide for my weight
www.calculator.net/pregnancy-weight-gain-calculator.html?ctype=standard&pstage=21&twins=0&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=6&cpoundbefore=&cpoundnow=&cheightmeter=165&ckgbefore=50&ckgnow=55&printit=0&x=58&y=23

HoneyMonster12 · 17/07/2018 20:38

I’ve actually tried not to weigh myself but I have midwife tomorrow for my 25 week appointment so I’m sure she will let me know how much weight I’ve gained Blush I’m a little worried about gestational diabetes, there are some days where I just eat waaaaay too much sugary things.

RhiBee29 · 17/07/2018 21:11

I haven't set foot on the scales since my booking appointment, too scared! @unicornchaser I'm a former fatty too, lost 60lb before DS was conceived but struggled to lose the last stone after his birth. Hopefully I'll get it off again, planning to focus the weight loss effort from January.

unicornchaser · 17/07/2018 22:01

I have the same concern @HoneyMonster12 with the diabetes, I keep saying I need to watch what I'm eating more but I just have no interest in salads anymore and just want carbs all the time!

It's hard to properly relax about the weight gain isn't it @RhiBee29. I am trying to just let myself have a bit more freedom than I used to but not go mad since I know just how bloody hard it was to lose first time round! I have a target weight in mind that I really don't want to go over so keeping a focus on that

caoraich · 17/07/2018 22:02

That's handy @unicornchaser !

I'm a bit worried about weight - scared like you @RhiBee29 ! I was still a bit overweight with a BMI of 26 at conception but then had horrible HG (now under control with daily Cyclizine!) and I lost over a stone in the first trimester. I am hungry again now but still definitely not eating as much as I was pre-conception and can't eat at all after about 8pm as then I get late-night spewing Sad

Definitely have a sizeable bump now and boobs have gone up 3 sizes but I'm almost too scared to weigh myself in case I come up all wrong on the chart Confused

Belles86 · 17/07/2018 23:12

@milk ahh ok, that sounds like a more reasonable set up. I’ve become a bit addicted to second hand stuff with this pregnancy and am enjoying saving some cash. So far got a chicco next2me, a joolz pram and randomly 2 poang chairs that we drove too far for 😂

@doll I’ve put on 11kgs, bmi of 25.5 (and I’m 28+5) before so at top end. My issue is portion control and lack of movement (I was pretty active Pre Prego). How does being nearly 30 weeks feel? 😬😍

Doll87 · 18/07/2018 07:44

@Belles86 it feels cramped in there lol! It also feels great because I can almost count down the weeks left now! When I'm sat down or curled up, she gives me a nice poke in the ribs lol! Roll on September, I'm dying to see her ❤️❤️❤️

Belles86 · 18/07/2018 08:44

@Doll87 hahah, I bet! I find myself in a starfish position quite frequently despo for space. Last night was the first night that there was almost constant baby ninja style. yawn

TinyTerror1 · 18/07/2018 12:57

Doll87 I'm 28+3 and have gained 20 pounds. My starting BMI was quite high though, around 29, so I've made an effort not to eat all the stuff I want.

In spite of that I have gestational diabetes (so now I can't eat all the fun stuff) and as of my growth scan this morning I have a small baby 😥 I'd rather be a stone heavier and not have to have weekly checks for the rest of my pregnancy... As long as no one has indicated it's a problem, try not to fret about the weight gain xx

RhiBee29 · 18/07/2018 20:32

Hope everyone has had a good day!

I checked out Baby Box University today, you complete an online course, 20mins of watching short videos and then a quiz, then you get sent a free Baby Box.

Right there with you @Milknosugar1 but I'd like to upgrade to exhausted

caoraich · 19/07/2018 17:51

Me too @Milknosugar1 Sad
3rd trimester as of this week and on one hand I'm terrified at how fast it's gone, on the other hand I don't know if I can handle 3 more months of this!

Ooooh Stannah stairlift!

I bought one of those pregnancy/yoga balls with the intention of doing some gentle exercises as per yoga teacher instructions.

All I've managed so far is sitting on it and doing some gentle bouncing while staring morosely at the TV

ladydolly · 19/07/2018 18:04

Imo 3rd trimester is harder than having a newborn. So this is the lowest point. Onwards and upwards!!

I've developed sciatica and the doc was very ready to sign me off and it was tempting to just sit in a paddling pool all week but actually I'm well enough for my desk job.

I've also had low iron, I found out a couple of weeks ago and am now eating spinach and special k like it's going out of fashion and already feel better, so I'm less tired than 2nd trimester.

Even a gentle bounce is good for you!

Had my first leg cramp of the pregnancy this morning, I really hate leg cramps, was hoping to skip them this time round. My 2yr old wanted the toilet first thing in the morning (she's only been potty training a week) so I got up quickly, big mistake. Haven't had them in the middle of the night yet I guess I've still got that to look forward to. Would like to fast forward a few weeks and just skip this trimester.

unicornchaser · 19/07/2018 21:06

With you @Milknosugar1 @caoraich and @RhiBee29.
Told hubby I was hibernating till sept in the hope it's cooler then! Usually I would be loving this weather but it's just making me grumpy(er than usual Grin) and pissy that I can't enjoy it with a cider or wine (or 5!)

ATP1000 · 19/07/2018 22:43

I’m too hot as well! Am in bed with ice packs and the fan blasting on me! I wish it would rain in London!

Lots of wriggles from the baby now which is nice and I keep getting a lump on my tummy like she’s rolled up into a ball, feels really strange!

OMG the belly itch!!! Driving me nuts this week! Can't remember who was talking about the E45 itch relief, but does it work?!

ATP1000 · 20/07/2018 10:27

@unicornchaser , I’ve tried e45 itch relief and it worked for me, pharmacist said it was fine for pregnancy. I keep it in the fridge for temporary coolness!
