DaisysGotABigBump · 17/05/2007 13:44

Mytwocents....I never felt any at all with DS (although I've been assured that that they were going on).....I think they are more noticeable in subsequent PGs once your uterus knows what it's doing. Remind me, is this your first?

DaisysGotABigBump · 17/05/2007 13:45

Just had a thought...maybe she and hub were in to tantric sex...if they both felt it??????

mytwocents · 17/05/2007 13:48

Hee hee!
I like thinking of it though, as an experience - beats my friends horror stories!

Yes is first baby

derlor · 17/05/2007 13:49

daisy - stop trying to deflect from the fact that you and your GP have a close relationship - do you have to book a double appt?
mytwocents i never had any BH with my 1st pg, had loads with my 2nd and having them occasionally with this one so wouldn't worry believe me, you are NOT missing anything!!!!!

sputnik · 17/05/2007 13:54

Hi all, just posting quickly to let you all know I'm still alive, just. Still feeling really shitty, dizzy and not wanting to eat much. Anything I do eat is giving me raging hb . I'm sure it's a virus as DH has the dizzyness too.

On the upside I managed to get to the hairdressers yesterday, so 1 very major item off my to-do list there . I have long hair in a loose perm and it takes 2 1/2 hours to do that and cut etc. so knew there was no chance of getting it done after the birth. Must've done something for me as the postman called me "bella signora" this morning. I am irrestably attractive to guys in their 50's, apparently

Holly, I'll send you my mobile no. soon so you can buddy me up with the next latecomer along. Hoping to be able to post from the hospital with my palmtop and mobile, but it might take too much effort.

mytwocents · 17/05/2007 13:55

Thanks both of you!

Had an appt with my doc yesterday ( NO Derlor! - although she is very beautiful my GP) She said baby is in right position with a heartbeat of 140 a minute, also my iron is up to 10.01 WHHOOOOO HOOOOOOO!
All that floradix, spinach and oj has worked!!
( yes H black poo bit scary at first...)

mytwocents · 17/05/2007 13:58

Ok sputnik, I've missed that you were poorly!! ??
Glad you're bit better xx Haircuts are great for making you feel better are'nt they? I'm saving mine for when I'm on mat leave ( 3 weeks 2 days to go..)

sputnik · 17/05/2007 14:04

have had some kind of stomach thing for a week now
I'm looking forward to getting my immune system back after birth.
Can you keep going another 3 weeks? Kudos to you!

NattyThomasandEllen · 17/05/2007 14:04

hey guys, im being miss worry wart again
i may.. i say may.. have lost my plug. however (TMI alert) it was to watery for me to think that it was so now worried somethings wrong as have V dark discharge.
am i being silly? rang hospital they said to ring again/ go in if i get much more.

evenfattercatkin · 17/05/2007 14:06

Natty, Of course you're not being silly! Keep a close eye on it and ring the hosp straight back if continues, OK?

evenfattercatkin · 17/05/2007 14:07

Obviously, keeping a close eye on it is easier said than done and has conjured up some strange images in my head. Will shut up and go away now!

Twiga · 17/05/2007 14:07

Natty, just go up to the hospital, better than being at home worrying too much it'll just make you feel worse. You might feel better geting check and some reassurance and if this is things kicking off then they can advise best thing from there. So sorry things have been rough these last couple of days

mytwocents · 17/05/2007 14:09

Sputnik you poor thing!
Don't know what to say Natty as never been here before..... I think I'd let my mw know, just in case....

Twiga · 17/05/2007 14:10

dd is just waking up and I need to take her out to meet with our ante-natal group, sorry to bail when you need to chat Natty, I'll be back to check in on you when we get home - thinking of you.

DaisysGotABigBump · 17/05/2007 14:11

Natty...don't be daft...you're 38+ weeks anyway so could go any time....If it were me, I'd ring and say you're coming in....given that you're meant to be back next week for monitoring anyway...but keep calm and most importantly.....keep us posted!!

Sputnik...I was just thinking about you earlier. Glad you're feeling better and I hope all is well with the bub. LOL at your postman...you'd never catch a postman in this country getting away with calling us lovely ladies, but the Italians just seem to get away with it don't they?

sputnik · 17/05/2007 14:13

Natty, if it hasn't stopped yet I'd go in now if I were you. I'm obviously not an expert but it may be you are leaking waters?

derlor · 17/05/2007 14:16

FLIP natty - i go to make a sandwich and come back to find you could be in early labour!!!!! - whats happening now - you still leaking?
hi Sputnik - you "bella signora"

DaisysGotABigBump · 17/05/2007 14:16

Natty...are you still there...I've just put a call out for Lulumama....she's good with this sort of thing!!

BadZelda · 17/05/2007 14:18

tee hee

lulumama · 17/05/2007 14:19

Hello

tell me more...

did you lose a snotty , mucousy lump

was it blood streaked?

is the discharge watery and bloody?

if so , it might be you have had a show and your waters are leaking, but waters that are not clear need checking...

it might be late pregnancy discharge, but again, taht should be clear or white, not dark

is it bloody discharge, or mucousy?

lulumama · 17/05/2007 14:19

BTW

if you are nearing full term, and concerned then go and be checked out....esp if you feel something is not right, or you won;t be able to relax!

DaisysGotABigBump · 17/05/2007 14:20

I love this website....thanks Lulu!!

lulumama · 17/05/2007 14:21

if your cervix has started dilating, then you can get a wee bit of bleeding.....

don;t be see the midwife, get checked, and find out what is happening

DaisysGotABigBump · 17/05/2007 14:23

She's gone very quiet...Natty are you OK?

NattyThomasandEllen · 17/05/2007 14:23

sorry was reassuring hubby bless him!
was watery and dark, so could have been just discharge, as it wasnt like toms one, not mucusy(sp?) at all. oh the things we discuss on here
