My jeans are also a no-go!
Leggings all the way and I'm already in maternity leggings they are so comfy

Maggi85 · 24/05/2018 18:57

@balalalala Congratulations on your scan when are you due?x
I cannot fit into anything without a bump showing and I’m not ready to tell people yet I’m 10 weeks tomorrow - feeling huge at mo xx

0lgaDaPolga · 24/05/2018 19:31

I’m another one that feels massive. I’m 13 weeks now and I definitely wasn’t showing at this point last time. Going to have to get my dh to get all my maternity stuff out of the loft. Even my post baby bigger size leggings are digging in!

balalalala · 24/05/2018 19:54

@maggie85 due date is the 3rd!
I've been in maternity clothes for over 3 weeks now. I decided it wasn't worth the fight!

MagicalCreatures · 24/05/2018 20:17

Hi girls.
I had another scan today. Baby is measuring bang on 9 weeks as expected and we heard the heartbeat. It was wiggling it’s little feet and at one point, even completely moved it’s head.
We’re so relieved. Still looks like a jelly baby though. Here he/she is

@magicalcreatures 😍😍 gorgeous little jelly baby :)

balalalala · 24/05/2018 20:33

Lovely jelly bean!

SecretStash · 25/05/2018 07:50

Has anyone taken time off work for bone crushing tiredness?
I’m calling in sick again today (3rd time, I’m 9 weeks) because I can barely lift an eyelid, they are so heavy. My body is exhausted. I just want to sleep.

SteveHolt · 25/05/2018 08:38

I'm very bloated too, and live in skinny jeans for work, so need to find another option. All maternity clothes only seem to be for 3rd trimester!

Gemsie1984 · 25/05/2018 09:12

I'm also exhausted. Sleeping badly anyway which doesn't help but by 8pm every night I'm yawning, my eyes are stinging and I can feel myself slumping on the sofa. I've developed restless legs, which I've had in my previous pregnancies but never this early. It happens if I over heat or I'm over tired. Drives me mad though and stops me sleeping so just compounds the bloody problem! It woke me at 1:40am this morning and I got a bit emotional and burst into tears.. (think just tired) DP just still slept soundly though.. 🙄😂

SecretStash · 25/05/2018 09:27

Gemsie1984 I’ve suffered from restless leg recently too but mine isn’t pregnancy related, it’s low iron. I’ve heard it’s much more prevalent in pregnancy.
How does yours manifest?

I’ve heard it’s an uncontrollable urge to move your legs, but mine is the muscles violently twitching and random moments.

0lgaDaPolga · 25/05/2018 09:33

I feel constantly exhausted too. Unfortunately I can’t take time off work as my boss is my 1 year old boy and he’s not very understanding of my situation 😂

Paranormalbouquet · 25/05/2018 09:42

@SteveHolt m+s do treggings which look like skinny work trousers. Might be worth a look? Otherwise maybe a bump band? Although never found them great with DD!

I’m in an academic job at the moment and just about keeping going. Thankfully it’s relatively flexible so only a few activities I must attend and otherwise I can work around things.

Today is bad so far. Bad nausea, bad fatigue. Eating banana chips which I found in office kitchen and I’m sure are super high calorie but seem to help settle the stomach!

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 25/05/2018 09:56

Morning all :) I have my booking in today at 1pm. Silly question... apart from blood will there be any physical checks? Essentially I'm asking if I need to shave my legs 😂😂😂😂😍

Gemsie1984 · 25/05/2018 10:23

@SecretStash - yes it's exactly as you described it's an urge to move my legs.. it's awful the more I try and suppress it the more it happens it's almost like the feeling builds and builds and the release is the movement. The only the thing that sometimes helps is if I rub my legs vigorously or submerge them in cold water. I've only occasionally had them when not pregnant (had not slept for 36 hours so definitely tiredness) but pregnancy is a massive trigger for me. Interesting about the low iron being a trigger, maybe it is for me too.. I will get it checked. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.. it could be used as a form of torture :(

SecretStash · 25/05/2018 10:39

I’m a student nurse so from the second I wake up to the second I go to bed I’m on my feet and moving, apart from my 30 minute lunch break.
It’s absolutelt exhausting.

AaronPurrSir · 25/05/2018 10:43

I just came on to ask about maternity clothes haha! I'm going to buy some today. None of my trousers fit me, think I need to get some maternity jeans and leggings. I don't want to go too mental but I definitely need something!

It's annoying as with our dates, we'll all need summer maternity clothes for the next few months, and then winter up until due date! I was looking at maternity winter coats the other day and they are so expensive, not sure if there's a way around it? a massive man sized fleece, perhaps, layered with scarves?!

Gemsie1984 · 25/05/2018 11:10

@SecretStash - I'm a nurse so I completely empathise with you. Just make sure you keep hydrated during your shifts as dehydration won't help with RLS either.

balalalala · 25/05/2018 11:13

@goldilocks shouldn't be any need to shave your legs! No physical checks!

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 25/05/2018 11:56

@balalalala 😂😂😂 thanks!!! Absolutely stunning scan by the way x

December2018 · 25/05/2018 12:01

Hahaha it's lucky if I even shave upto the knee these days I've just got no get up & go at all lol 😂

Mamababynumber2 · 25/05/2018 12:20

aaron I've bought some small bundles of mat clothes off Facebook for tops. I think a cost would be easy to find on there or eBay.

balalalala · 25/05/2018 12:23

Thanks @goldilocks Smile

Gemsie1984 · 25/05/2018 13:00

Bit off topic and bit TMI.. noticed the last few mornings my nipples have been sticky. My boobs in general have been super sore and heavy. Anyway, was having a shower and decided to see if I could express as was wondering if this is what the slight stickiness was.. and a tiny bit came out! I remember being able to do it at 16 weeks with my son. But 11.5 weeks?

SecretStash · 25/05/2018 13:17

I just got the heartbeat at 9+2 weeks.
I wish I could upload it to here. I tried YouTube and linking to that but I can’t figure out how to do it without it revealing my actual name!
