No idea about the self defence classes! Hope you found something though! How you feeling @gemsie1984? Did you get seen to?

emwithme · 22/05/2018 20:37

God I'm in so much pain. The bottom of my back is agony and my hips just don't feel right. I've got hypermobile joints anyway (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and it feels like my pelvis is all out of alignment. It can't be pregnancy-related already, can it? I'm only 11+5.

In other news, we have our dating scan tomorrow and I'm nervous as hell, despite having had scans at 7 and 10 weeks and still being So Nauseous (although the cyclizine is now making it that I can work, which is handy!)

Gemsie1984 · 22/05/2018 21:08

@emwithme I'm in pain too at the base of my back/hips. Can't get comfortable in bed and it aches if I sit for a while. I didn't think it was pregnancy related but did a bit of Dr. Google and it seems it's pretty common.. joys of pregnancy 🤰

Gemsie1984 · 22/05/2018 21:09

PS good luck with your scan and I empathise with the nausea.. I thought my MS had finally eased.. until today.. been nauseous all day and started being sick this evening so well and truly back with a vengeance 😩

Gemsie1984 · 22/05/2018 21:14

PPS no didn't go to EPU, no more bleeding and no cramps at all. I do think it was my piles 🍇.. was very scared to poo today!

MrsTeaPlease · 22/05/2018 21:47

Oh @gemsie poor you! Have you asked at a pharmacy if there is anything they can recommend to make it easier for you to go? Can imagine you are scared now. It's practice for the poo fear after childbirth!

Gemsie1984 · 22/05/2018 22:33

I have anusol that I use when they're sore but they haven't bothered me AT ALL which is why the bleeding surprised me. It's the result of my previous two pregnancies as I was constipated through those too! Think I'll start taking a stool softener to see if that helps..

ND348 · 23/05/2018 07:15

@emwithme on a similar timescale to you! Dating scan is today, I'm so nervous.... feel like I'm about to walk into an exam and have no idea what I'm going to see when I turn the first page.... like you I had scans at 7 and 9 weeks which were ok, but your mind (and Google) can run away with you. Found myself Google missed miscarriages today which I know is not sensible!

Also having bad lower back pain. Thought I had twisted it but two weeks in its still there so thinking pregnancy related.

Paranormalbouquet · 23/05/2018 08:13

@ND348 I hope scan goes well. A MMC at 12 weeks after a good scan at 9 is unlikely statistically so fingers crossed all will be ok.

@Gemsie1984 I’ve been constipated too. Which is odd as in my other first trimesters I’ve had the opposite problem!

Yesterday was a very bad day nausea/dizziness wise. Managed to work from home thankfully as could sit in my leggings and nibble toast and avocado. I’m finding avocado soothing for some reason! It seems to be bad in mornings, settle after about 10am until late afternoon and then kick off then again. But yesterday was bad almost all day.

applesauce1 · 23/05/2018 08:16

I've been experiencing painful cramping since about 2pm yesterday.
No bleeding but I woke up this morning with the cramps still going on.

Do you think I should call my midwife with this or because I'm not bleeding, it's nothing to worry anyone about?

Doesn't feel like the twinges I was getting a few weeks ago. It feels like painful period cramps.

Stephisaur · 23/05/2018 09:16

@applesauce1 call your midwife if you're worried, it's why she's there.

It's probably just stretching pains, but better safe than sorry x

December2018 · 23/05/2018 13:45

Omg my skin is sooo sensitive!
Sat outside at my mums having a brew and I'm red raw!
Been out about 10-15 mins tops, I'm quite olive skinned too, I don't even need to use factor abroad as I just go brown and don't burn....
pregnant bodies are weird haha

Wanttomakemincepies · 23/05/2018 14:24

So today I have gone from having a date for my booking appt to no date. I phoned up about my scan appt as I hadn't had one. I am currently 11+3 and booking should have been next week when I would have been 12+4. When I phoned up to find out and said I now had a GP in the same area as my booking hospital (this had previously been an issue when I was "out of area" GP wise) I was told the booking appt I had was for out of area mums and I couldn't use that one now. Given a number for a community midwife and have left a message for her. Just waiting now. So frustrating.

emwithme · 23/05/2018 16:07

Had my scan earlier. Due date moved forwards 4 days to 2/12. Baby didn't really want to cooperate with having the nuchal measurement taken but after half a wee(!) the sonographer managed to get it.

Back still agony so I'll be seeing the doctor tomorrow as paracetamol isn't touching the pain and I can hardly move.

Happy32 · 23/05/2018 18:15

Your scan is beautiful!!!!!! Looks so peaceful in there 😍

ND348 · 23/05/2018 18:43

Scan today here too! A very active baby made it difficult for the Sonographer but made DH laugh. Dates a bit ahead than I thought so now 12+4. Made it all seem real, amazing how human like they are already!

Omg!! Loving all the scans! I've got a private one on Friday then my 12 week nuchal scan on 6th june!!! Eek

MrsTeaPlease · 23/05/2018 18:55

Lovely scans ladies!

applesauce1 · 23/05/2018 19:33

Thanks for the advice @Stephisaur I called the midwife at lunch time and she called me back at 6. She wants me to go for a scan tomorrow. I'm feeling quite tearful suddenly. I'm so worried that my baby has died. Pain still going on.

Is anyone else experiencing frequent, painful cramps? It feels almost spiky inside, if that makes any sense.

Lovely scan photos ladies!

0lgaDaPolga · 23/05/2018 20:33

Scan here today too. All good and even got a 3D photo! I’ve been adjusted to 12+6 so now due 29th November.

If anyone wants to join us on the Facebook group drop me a pm and I’ll add you Smile

Gorgeous scans everyone! I've got mine tomorrow and can't wait however also unrealistically nervous despite good scans at 6,8 & 10 weeks!

MagicalCreatures · 23/05/2018 20:51

Absolutely amazing scans everyone. Babies look so comfy in there.
That 3D one is fab too. Did you pay extra for that Olga x

0lgaDaPolga · 23/05/2018 20:57

No I didn’t @magicalcreatures I’m really lucky to be having my scans at Kings College in London as it’s a really state of the art facility and they seem to have amazing equipment for the scans! They did 3D on the 20 week scan with my son and that was lovely as you could see his little face at that point

DoAsDreamersDo · 23/05/2018 21:41

I love seeing all the scan pics. My dating scan is next Tuesday and it’s my first scan so I’m already nervous, but excited as well.

MagicalCreatures · 23/05/2018 22:04

@0lgaDaPolga that’s incredible. Wish all the hospitals were like that x x
