Morning! I've sent everyone who has asked about the FB group a PM. @marchblossom, @AJ89 @Melaniesunflower @Amarettoplease @Saraswati @CVB1990. Some of you have already joined. If anyone has been missed please say and I (or one of the other lovely ladies) can get you added. It is a secret group so no one can see you're in it on normal Facebook.

Totally understand those that don't want to join, I am still on MN, I just personally find Facebook easier to reply to and I hold back on MN because it is obviously public so am careful about what I say so it isn't outing. That's just me though! Smile

Gah. Struggling with the heat today and my sickness. Booo!

Windy1234 · 08/05/2018 11:04

Hi everyone - hope you are all well. I haven't posted in ages - 11+3 now and have my 12 week scan a week on Thursday - cannot wait for that. Did pay for a private scan last Wednesday and everything looked okay thank goodness, although I know that doesn't mean we are out of the woodwork yet. Been on and off sick every few days still, but the constant nausea is still there...nothing worse than running to the bathroom at work and trying to hide the retching noise!! I also feel super bloated now and it looks like I have a small bump, although as it is my first I am sure that is unlikely and it is just bloat. Would I possibly also be able to join the fb group now too? Hope everyone else is doing well and congrats on all of the positive scans so far!

Lentilllama · 08/05/2018 18:33

Hello! Could I join the fb group pls? Xx

Nevada54 · 08/05/2018 19:31

Can I also have the fb link please!

MiniMinions · 08/05/2018 20:21

@intelligentPutty I too have got bigger and didn't expect this early (14w). I'm larger anyway and with our first didn't show until after 20w. Def got a too many pies look going on!

I will be staying on MN but will join FB group later on I expect. Loved my old group. There's only about 45 on our one from DS as group started later on. How many are on the FB group at the mo?

Maternity post has been advertised today on school website...so that's me outed at work now haha

moomoo85 · 08/05/2018 20:52

there are 27 on the fb group currently

Amarettoplease · 08/05/2018 21:08

@miniminions I was told today that my mat cover will be advertised this week to start in Sept. They were threatening that they couldn’t get someone in until I was actually going before because of money and I was panicking that I’d have a massive TT and feel like I couldn’t go off earlier as there would be nobody there to teach my classes! Fingers crossed they get someone good!

Deedoll · 08/05/2018 21:13

@TheUbercornMum Please can I be sent the link to added to the FB page? TIA xx

wejammin · 08/05/2018 21:44

My bump has definitely "popped" this week (I'm 15 + 4) so I'm just getting past the pies stage. No-one has noticed on the tram for my commute yet though, annoying!

intelligentPutty · 08/05/2018 22:00

Glad to hear there will be some still on MN.
Yes. The bloat / bump is making me look like I had too many pies. But just today tried on a size 12 maternity trousers from last time and they fitted well so didn't feel quite so bad then. Grin

Emelene · 08/05/2018 22:13

I've been shopping today at 14+2 and bought maternity jeans. They feel amazing! Blush Still not sure what to do about work as I haven't found any smart trousers / dresses with pockets. Any recommendations for shops?

sarahhh1984 · 09/05/2018 06:11

@Emelene Last time I got some really smart tops from Red Herring Maternity at Debenhams. They used to stock a range in my local branch but looks like it's gone online only. M&S was good for workwear but they only stock online. ASOS Maternity were always pretty reliable too.

NoCatsHere · 09/05/2018 11:57

I will be staying on mumsnet for now, maybe i'll join the FB group but I'm not on FB very often.
My 12 week scan is next tuesday, trying not to freak out about the potentially large NT measurement but it is playing on my mind since the last 10 week scan. I'll just be so relived if it's good news, i'd really like to relax and enjoy this pregnancy and so far it's been 11 weeks of stress.

TinyPawz · 09/05/2018 13:44

I'm having 12 week scan and booking in appointment tomorrow. They don't do NT measuring here at all and due to my age I'm worried about the consequences. I would like to be prepared either way. Suppose will have to wait and see I how baby is when he/she is born

Mayah · 09/05/2018 14:01

I'll be staying here too. I'm 14 weeks now and I'm stuck between being glad I still have morning sickness as I know everything's still ok and I expected to feel better by now and not have to throw up every morning. Still crazy tired all the time too.

My current dilemma is how to tell my close friends that I'm pregnant. I'm the first in our circle to get pregnant so no one else to refer too. I moved cities when I got married and they live in my home city. I work full time so travelling down isn't practical, but is it something I can really tell them over social media? Hmm

Laurisi · 09/05/2018 14:34

@Mayah we have family that live abroad so we took a picture of scan and edited it to put text over it saying hi .... can’t wait to meet you coming November 18 ☺️

TinyPawz · 09/05/2018 14:50

@Laurisi I might have to steal that idea

Laurisi · 09/05/2018 14:55

@TinyPawz we weren’t sure about it at first but other than being able to be there in person we wanted something we knew would make them smile they absolutely loved it ☺️

Windy1234 · 09/05/2018 15:12

I am only 11+4 but have a massive bloated belly, I have had it since Monday and it lasts all day long - not sure if it is just bloat or the start of a bump because it is quite hard, but seems way too early for my first - anyone else have this?

Firefly89 · 09/05/2018 15:15

@Mayah that's a hard one! Maybe invite them to yours for a get together and a mini tea party? Or if you do tell them via social media create a private group?

Had my 12 week scan today although I'm 13+3 I was so worried as all my sysmptons have vanished but baby looks very healthly and was so chilled! Smile

Saraswati · 09/05/2018 15:32

I had more bleeding yesterday so had another scan this morning, that's 3 in 3 weeks! No obvious cause of bleeding, baby was wriggling around oblivious to all the worry it's caused us! Got another picture which was nice of them, They said to just monitor it and if there's a lot of red and pain to go to day assessment unit.

13+4 and apart from worrying I feel ok, have a little belly. I ordered a dress and some mat trousers for work from asos yesterday so I will report back if they are nice. I also bought 'how to grow a baby an push it out' will read tonight now I know that all is ok with my little trouble maker.

Emma0902 · 09/05/2018 16:05

I've got close family that live over 300 miles away so I sent them cards I got off EBay! It says "guess what" and inside says "I'm going to be a big sister baby number 2 due November" with pic of scan from my little girl, they loved it!

I'll also be staying here deactivated my FB account years ago, the only social media I only use now is Instagram.

wejammin · 09/05/2018 16:29

@Mayah i did a WhatsApp group for my friends and attached the scan photo, it's a running joke in my friendship group that I'm going to have hundreds of kids (I'm not!) And this is number 3 so no-one was surprised. I've not put anything on more general social media like Facebook because it sounds stupid but I'm a bit embarrassed about being on number 3. It feels greedy or something.

Magpie24 · 09/05/2018 19:09

I'll be staying here, I don't use facebook. I ordered lots from asos but have sent it all back as have found it rubbish quality. I have a job that requires me to dress very smartly so I've ordered a Isabella Oliver dress - found one worn once on eBay for £20. Worth a browse!

Mayah · 09/05/2018 19:24

Oh yeh, y social media I meant whatsapp. I'm not a Facebook person. Only other social media I really use is snapchat. That's probably where I'll tell the world once I'm ready for them to know. But word will probably get loose once I tell my close friends Grin

@Firefly89 how did I not even think of that!? I'll have to get a dinner organised over at mine. If not, I'm definitely robbing your idea @Laurisi that sounds adorable.

@Saraswati this baby is not giving you a break at all, bless you. I hope it all settles soon. At least you've seen baby 3 times, definitely puts your mind at ease. I had bleeding last week and they said they can't give me a scan as it hadn't been more than a week after my last scan :/ so I'm taking the morning sickness as a sign everything's ok.
