@Laurisi
@LastNightsMakeup
Thank you both! I work in a really small company and I’m the only female in the office. My manager is a bit weird so think that’s why I’m worried! I’ll jusf have to blurt it out as 16 wk appt. coming up!

xXJenXx · 02/06/2018 20:11

@pipsqueak126 @LastNightsMakeUp I was confused about this too....I've heard/read several times not to lie flat on my back after 16 weeks...but then there's conflicting advice that I should lie on my back with my feet at least 6 inches higher than my heart to help with circulation. I'm not sure it's possible to do that without lying on my back! So many dos and donts...

MiniMinions · 02/06/2018 20:24

Re the lying on back thing I thought from memory that that was later on when pressure from baby can cause problem with vein from lower body to heart? I'm currently tossing and turning between left and right side depending when hips start to ache (or if DH is snoring in my face!!)

it's been warm here today and must admit am not looking forward to being about 6m pregnant in August on holiday - only off to wales so not expecting tropical climates but has been known to be hot! Managed to avoid Summer pregnancy last time around as he was a late spring baby!

Poppy1984 · 02/06/2018 20:47

I'm so looking forward to my 16 week midwife appt on wednesday. I will be 16+4 by then. My 20 week scan is on 2nd July! Eeek. Feeling lots of fluttering and light kicks. Starting to feel the size of a house already 🙈🙈🙈

TinyPawz · 02/06/2018 21:47

First blanket so far. Border to be decided when I find out what gender and of course the dreaded ends to be woven in.

Have half balls of all colours left so will do a smaller blanket for car seat. Had planned on larksfoot Stitch but started it yesterday and decided I didn't like it. So back to drawing board.

@TinyPawz that's amazing are they lots of little granny squares? I still haven't made a blanket using just them just made squares and sent for Wooly hug style blankets and using that method to make a big blanket like one big granny square haha taking forever now!!

TinyPawz · 02/06/2018 22:08

Yes lots of granny's squares. Joined as you go method. Easy peasy to do.

MeredithShepherd · 03/06/2018 07:11

I’m still laying on my back to watch tv in bed and generally sleeping on my back too. It’s more the third trimester when baby is bigger that it’s not advised I wouldn’t worry about it just yet.
18 weeks today and I’m apparently mother to a sweet potato Grin

Saraswati · 03/06/2018 08:10

I'm still lying on my back! Will stop when I get uncomfortable I don't think you have to worry this early on. When I lie on my back my uterus is so obvious, massive hard lump, sometimes lopsided if baby is on that side! Don't remember this from dd, I wonder if it's positioning is different second time (and complete lack of ab muscles to gold it back!). I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow at 17+2 then 20 week scan on 25th june. Feel in a lull and keep forgetting I'm pregnant apart from the odd bit of sickness and tiredness!

pipsqueak126 · 03/06/2018 09:53

@tinypawz that is amazing, such a beautiful design and yet so simple!how big does it measure? I'm very tempted to do one similar and steal your design!!

Fluffybat · 03/06/2018 10:00

Hi everyone. Congrats on all the scans and positive results. Just seen there's a fb group. So wondering how to join? I'm due on 14th Nov. My second bubba. My first is 12 months at the moment so a small age gap. Am huge already! 😂

TinyPawz · 03/06/2018 14:47

@pipsqueak126 the blanket is currently 50' squared. Will be slightly larger with border. It'll be for the cot/laying on floor. I 'borrowed' the idea too. One of the crochet groups I am on Facebook had a similar picture but with 10 colours instead of 14 that I have. I hindsight I probably should have stuck with 10 colours. The blanket would be a large pram size in that case.

Emelene · 03/06/2018 17:14

Congrats @Laurisi and @Emma0902! @sarahhh1984 my scan is also on the 18th June! Is anyone else staying team yellow? We won't find out but it is so tempting!

I am 17+6 and I've started feeling movements over the last 5 days or so. It's first baby but to me doesn't feel like a flutter at all, more like a gentle poke from the inside or like a bubble popping! It's amazing. Grin

Belkinsboo · 03/06/2018 22:17

I joined this group ages ago but haven’t really posted much as am still struggling to believe I’m actually pregnant (after numerous mc’s and infertility) however I do follow you all. Just wanted to say that’s an absolutely beautiful blanket @tinypawz Smile

I’m currently 15+2 with a huge (bloated) stomach and had a reassurance scan yesterday that showed all is well.

NoCatsHere · 04/06/2018 14:02

Just dropped off a urine sample to the docs, was worried I have an infection so will get results after half 4. Hopefully all will be well.

sarahhh oh dear on the explosive poop front!! I didn't have too bad a time with it!
And glad the rash was ok in the end.

jen I wouldn't go crazy buying too much, it's so easy to buy from a supermarket or get stuff next day delivery if you feel you're washing too much.

emma and laurisi congrats on your scans. Such good pictures!

Who else went on the Facebook nub group? I'm intrigued if their guesses on there match up with official scans at 20 weeks!

tinypawz your blanket is so good!

emelene I'm staying team yellow although OH really wants to know. However if I end up having a csection I don't want all the details, like sex and the day we give birth, I want a last minute element of surprise I think!

belkins so pleased your scan yesterday was good. It's very hard to feel all is ok after mc, and in your case infertility too. So happy all was well.

Just got out of pregnancy yoga. Forgot how relaxing it is.

Aw, we're scan buddies @Emelene! Mine's not until 6pm though so I will feel like a long day I think!

TinyPawz · 04/06/2018 20:17

Anyone had their flu & whooping cough jabs yet. Going on Thursday to the nurse clinic at the gp to get mine. Are they huge needles?

Magpie24 · 04/06/2018 20:50

@Melaniesunflower you might want to get your pic deleted as it has your name on it. Will report for you!

Beautiful scan though!

Melaniesunflower · 04/06/2018 20:56

Thanks magpie, didn't even notice that!!!!! How do I grit deleted?

Magpie24 · 04/06/2018 21:21

Report your own post, I think! If you're on the app slide left on your post then click report.

Melaniesunflower · 04/06/2018 21:53

Thanks, I think they've done it already, I'll be more observant in the future

Ravenclaw87 · 04/06/2018 21:54

Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven’t posted last few weeks. Busy moving house. Our sale is due to complete 21st June but our vendors purchase has fallen through so off to my parents as a stop gap once we complete. Trying not to get too stressed about being pregnant and homeless!

I’m 18 weeks today and movement has really stepped up from flutters to some proper jabs. My scan is a week on Friday, will feel like it’s full steam ahead with excitement after that.

@xXJenXx I’m planning to cloth nappy, already bought a great stash of newborn stuff off pre-loved Facebook pages. All good quality, defo get some second hand to try out. As well as the nappy lady I also watched a lot of YouTube videos - search cloth nappies and lots of helpful videos come up.

@MeredithShepherd I’ll take your spare size 10 work trousers if no one has claimed them?

Regarding sleeping on your back it was one study, third trimester and it only relates to which position you went to sleep in, so as long as you fall asleep on your side don’t stress yourself about waking up on your back. We’re all to early to need to worry about it at this stage, uterus isn’t heavy enough to compress your blood vessels yet.

Fluffybat · 05/06/2018 11:07

Anyone know how to join the Facebook group? X

Laurisi · 05/06/2018 12:59

@TinyPawz I have my whooping cough booked for tomorrow no idea what to expect
Couldn’t book fly as it’s only done in season at my practice
