@CVB1990 oh hope you have a lovely time away.
I ordered the next to me a couple of weeks ago aswell got the crib/ mattress for £123 and then got the sheets and the mattress protector they were on offer on amazon so got the lot for £156 love a good deal out gender scan is booked in for next Tuesday evening aswell 😊 excited nervous all bundled together.
Had consultant midwife appointment on Monday which has cleared up a few things for me but she didn’t do hb she’s a bit forgetful anyway and had a student in.

TinyPawz · 23/05/2018 07:04

Oh has been working extra hours recently so hopefully will be able to get the bulk of baby equipment next month and then can focus on Xmas. I want everything in & wrapped by end of October so I can enjoy the first lot of week with flump and focus on establishing bfing

NoCatsHere · 23/05/2018 07:55

14 weeks today and very excited so many of you can feel movements at 16 weeks. I think I can feel the odd thing as this is my third but it’s not obvious at the minute. My bump is so obvious now so was glad to have told the kids at the weekend. Their reaction was very sweet, I filmed it to see what they’d say. They both now keep wanting to hug my belly, it’s the best feeling to see them like that.
Looking forward to getting some maternity stuff out and wearing looser summer stuff,
I’ve been away with work the last few days and struggling in non maternity jeans with the hair and trick and it’s so uncomfortable!
Will wait until the 20 week scan and then have a good look through everything I already have from the first two babies and see if I actually need anything.
Watching some sleepyheads and bugaboo bees on eBay at the minute, think that will be all I need to invest in. Definitely have plenty of clothes already!!!

Hengine · 23/05/2018 11:43

I’m 13+6 and my nausea has just ramped up :( I thought it was meant to be better now!
4 weeks til my next scan
I’ve still not told work as I don’t want to get risk assessed out of everything but I have set myself a deadline of Friday because hiding it is a pain!

sarahhh1984 · 23/05/2018 12:11

@Hengine My nausea seemed to return and peak just before it went away so hopefully thatMs what's happening to you?

I'm a freelancer so actively not telling clients and agencies in case they stop giving me work. DH has to tell work yesterday. He was holding off as he's up for a promotion and didn't want it hindering his chances. But the promotion is taking ages and we needed his work to know so he could do a bit more working from home when we have appointments (they were really good about this last time, meant he could just nip to the appointment with me and then get back to work). Anyway, his boss was made up and said it absolutely wouldn't be taken into account with the promotion decision.

Fingers crossed that comes through soon. We want to remortgage so we can get a loft conversion but no point until we know what his salary will be.

Emma0902 · 23/05/2018 13:42

I've felt rubbish recently, and I got my first ever migraine yesterday still suffering now hopefully it goes away soon.

All looking good today! Wait for the NT results in the next few weeks.

Anyone any good at the nub theory I haven't a clue what to look for!

Lovely scan pic @Emma0902

And we are having a girl!!!!

CVB1990 · 23/05/2018 17:08

Great pics Emma0902! I put mine on nub theory queens + strictly nub theory. There guess rate is quite high so might be worth trying there 😃

NoCatsHere · 23/05/2018 18:20

Emma I’m not sure what to look for but I put my picture on the nub groups in Facebook for fun and they all guessed girl! I’m not finding out until the birth but it was fun to see what they thought. It’s definitely private though as despite posting in two groups none of my friends off Facebook have messaged me to ask if I’m pregnant so they obviously can’t see it!

putty so happy your results were good and yay and congrats for your girl!

GreenMeerkat · 23/05/2018 18:50

17+2 today and getting proper little jabs now, not just flutters!

MiniMinions · 23/05/2018 18:55

@sarahhh1984 that's great news re DH boss reaction. Fingers crossed for promotion!

@Emma0902 lovely scan pic!

@intelligentPutty great news!

wejammin · 23/05/2018 19:07

I just saw a photo of Pippa Middleton at Harry's wedding. How is she 14 weeks pregnant?!

JoJoyorker · 23/05/2018 19:24

Hello, could I join you? I had my scan today and my due date has been changed to 28th Nov. I struggle to keep up on here but would like to join the Facebook group if that's ok?

sarahhh1984 · 23/05/2018 19:57

Thanks @MiniMinions! Got everything crossed for him. It would be very well timed if he gets it!

@intelligentPutty Congratulations! I can't wait to find out but having to wait for 20 week scan (whenever that may be!) as can't afford to do a private scan before that. 😔

@Emma0902 Beautiful scan pic! No idea what I'm looking for either I'm afraid so I'd suggest going on one of the groups.

Magpie24 · 23/05/2018 21:08

Hoping to feel baby soon as am 16 weeks. Do get a few twinges but am not sure if baby or not! Is the feeling ever so slightly painful? I think it could be gas or indigestion I'm feeling!

GreenMeerkat · 23/05/2018 21:10

@Magpie24 no it's not painful at all. It's like being tickled at first

Magpie24 · 23/05/2018 22:17

@GreenMeerkat pretty sure I just have gas then!

Amarettoplease · 24/05/2018 07:28

@TinyPawz I love rainbow colours on babies! DS came home in a shop bought rainbow stripy blanket, it was always my favourite with him and I still have it. I knitted a mushroom coloured one for him but this time I’m going for rainbow colours (when I get round to buying the yarn!).

sarahhh1984 · 24/05/2018 08:06

@TinyPawz I'm also a big advocate of rainbow colours for babies. In fact DD is currently cruising round the living room in coral shorts and a rainbow striped t-shirt!

LastNightsMakeUp · 24/05/2018 09:07

I love bright colours on babies, the grandparents all seem to like white and pastels. I can't even keep clean wearing whites so I don't know how I could keep a baby and toddler clean in that! Fingerprint hiding rainbow patterns all the way!

I've still managed not to gain any weight yet (15+1) but have a headache this morning and have had peanut butter on toast and a wagon wheel for breakfast 😱 it's a slippery slope!

My back is really causing me problems. Am booked in to see an osteopath next week as it's just constant. It's not even just the pelvis/lower back now it's literally my whole back and neck 🙄 trying not to let it bring me down but starting to feel a bit miserable!

TinyPawz · 24/05/2018 09:51

Going maternity jeans shopping today. I've pushed my limit in own jeans. Wish me luck. Plus size non skinny jeans seem to be like hens teeth

Magpie24 · 24/05/2018 12:05

Can anyone tell me what happens at the 16 week midwife appointment? Will they listen to the heartbeat?

sarahhh1984 · 24/05/2018 13:53

@Magpie24 I think it depends on where you are but more times than not they do. When I was 16w with DD, the mw explained that in my area they don't offer it as standard as sometimes it can be a too early to hear anything and causes parents unnecessary worry. But she then she said if, understanding that, we still wanted her to listen then she would. As it happens, DD's heart was beating out a samba it was that strong! 😂

Magpie24 · 24/05/2018 15:17

Thanks @sarahhh1984. Mine's on Tuesday, looking forward to it!

xXJenXx · 24/05/2018 15:45

Can't believe I'm at 14 weeks already!

Glad everyone is having good news. You all sound very organised.

I'd love to find out more about the reusable nappy option...are there lots of different types? Where's the best place to get info?

Also...I'm really puzzled by the abbreviations you're all using...I'm guessing DD is 'something Daughter' and similarly DS is 'something Son' ??
