pipsqueak i’d say maybe go for a mixture, a few new and a few off eBay. I think sometimes you can do well if you know what brand to look for. Some will buy loads and then not get on with it so they’ve been barely used. They can always be washed again if you’re not happy with them and most people post lots of decent pictures so you know what you’re getting.

NoCatsHere · 18/05/2018 19:25

I got my blood results today, 1:500 for downs and 1:8000 for the other trisomys. I’m so relived. They are not amazing numbers but I’m certainly low risk and I’ll take those odds. I’m actually relaxing now and I can’t wait to tell people and expose my very obvious bump! I’m excited!!!!

BunBunMum · 18/05/2018 21:52

I posted on the Facebook page earlier but I had my 12 week scan today. I’m 12+2 so due on 28th Nov! Anyone left to have their 12 week scan or is that us all done now?

I have to wait another 2 weeks!!!!!!! I'll be 14+4 by then! It would have been earlier, but I go on holiday on Monday, and 4th June was the earliest I could get it scheduled for.....

NoCatsHere · 20/05/2018 10:42

Hey I know it got discussed briefly before but what is everyone doing for vitamins now you’re in trimester 2? I don’t like the idea of taking something for the sake of it, I have a pretty decent 90% plant based diet and also read that research on folic acid and tongue tie. I am taking an organic viridian pregnancy complex and have a months left but unsure whether to continue with them.

Emelene · 20/05/2018 11:24

@NoCatsHere I'm just on vitamin D as I couldn't find a pregnancy vitamin without folic acid and I don't think I need it now. Just trying to eat healthily. Smile

TinyPawz · 20/05/2018 13:35

I'm still taking folic acid 5mg and pregnacare. I took them the whole way through last pregnancy too.

sarahhh1984 · 20/05/2018 14:51

I'm taking Boots Folic Acid & Vitamin D plus a Vitamin C supplement. The pregnancy multivitamins make me feel sick but midwife advised I carry on with those three.

Mayah · 20/05/2018 15:03

I'm still taking my Pregnacare Plus pills. My midwife knows I take these and was happy with me to continue, so I shall.

20 week scan couldn't come quick enough!! Mostly to know everything's still ticking and I can start buying stuff and get excited Grin I'm thinking to get a basic Mother care pram, comes with a car seat. That'll probably change when I start shopping around and having a go at a few prams haha Grin but sane, frugal, not-giving-in-to-marketing me thinks I may get that one.

BunBunMum · 20/05/2018 16:07

I’m still taking pregnacare plus but my midwife said at 12 weeks I need to be on high vit d (1000units) as baby is due in Nov....last time I took pregnacare the whole way through but I’m not sure what to do this time...will finish this pack of pregnacare then decide!

Saraswati · 20/05/2018 16:43

I'm taking vit d and floradix liquid although I stopped it for a couple of days after it made me sick. Seem to be over that now! I eat a good vegan diet so don't feel like I really need it although I'm taking the vit d as I'm not often in the sun without cream on.

MeredithShepherd · 20/05/2018 17:42

I’m still taking pregnacare. I’ve never heard of this tongue tie link before, I took it all the way through my last pregnancy and DS didn’t have tongue tie. I wish he would now though.... constantly bloody talking Grin

dontquit · 20/05/2018 19:34

Hi all, here's a pic of bump at nearly 17 wks. Not feeling anything yet. Thought I felt a bit a few weeks ago but likely was just wind!
I submitted scan pics to a few nub theory pages. Mainly getting girl replies. Scan was at 12+2. Have 2 girls already and this pregnancy feels the same so not surprised at all. DH doesn't want to find out the sex this time either although ild be quite tempted! He has said he doesn't mind if I find out but not to tell him. Think ild find it way to hard knowing and him not so going to leave it.

13+4 today and can't wait for the tiredness to shift! Felt awful all weekend tiredness, back pain, sore all over! Doesn't help running after a toddler, I hope it gets better 🤣

Got our NT scan Wednesday can't wait to see the baby again!

I've only bought a born in 2018 sleepsuit and some vests. 2 weeks thurs we are having our gender scan so we will probably go a bit crazy then! We don't need much just a new pram, I have my eye on those next to me cribs and furniture for the babies room!

wejammin · 21/05/2018 13:36

I had my 16 week check last week, midwife tried for ages but baby wouldn't cooperate with the Doppler so she couldn't find the heartbeat. She was satisfied with the placenta blood flow sounds and we both felt movements so she said not to worry but I do feel a bit anxious. I was getting flutters at 15 weeks but no much the last few days. I know baby is only tiny and I'm being irrationally worried.

I took the kids to swimming lesson on Sunday and I've never been so hot in my entire life, I had to go out for cold air before I passed out! Ick!

I'm dying to get the baby clothes out of the loft, DH says wait for 20 week scan.

Saraswati · 21/05/2018 13:38

Just won a snuzpod on eBay for 100 quid, my first purchase! Grin

TinyPawz · 21/05/2018 14:44

Wow!! Congratulations

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 22/05/2018 19:58

Quiet on here isn't it?!

Had 16 week appt today. All fine and she found strong heartbeat straight away which was lovely to hear.

Think I've felt a few flutters but not entirely sure. Hopefully feel more in the next few weeks.

On a countdown to the 20 week scan now. 3 weeks on Monday (technically nearly 4 weeks but 3 weeks Monday sounds sooner! Wink)

Hope everyone is ok. Thanks

MeredithShepherd · 22/05/2018 20:52

Yes very quiet! I had my 16 week appt too today and heard the heartbeat. I’ve felt a couple of little kicks today rather than the rolls and flutters I’ve felt previously!

MiniMinions · 22/05/2018 21:30

Am 16w today and have got 16w appointment next Tuesday (when am 17w) and 20w scan bang on 20w - so 4 more weeks and we can find out if pink or blue. If people say that pregnancies are different based on sex then I'm leaning towards blue as so far been pretty much the same as DS pregnancy.

Have felt a couple of flutters but nothing major yet, I blame the extra weight I'm carrying as last time I didn't feel much until later on.

Need to find maternity clothes from last time and see what fits/what sizes to work out what sizes to order online (as nowhere seems to have stuff in store anymore!!)

sarahhh1984 · 22/05/2018 22:44

I'm 15+5 today and my 16w appointment isn't until 11 June when I'll be 18+4! Combination of bank holidays, mw being on holiday and me being away for work means we've had to put it back. Still no appointment through for 20w scan. Going to call them on Thursday if I've not had anything by then. Worried they'll schedule it in for when I'm booked to work with a client and I'll struggle to reschedule.

So tired today. Was in-house with a client all day and train home was really delayed. Just made it in for DD's bedtime story and then yawned my way through it. 🙈

Amarettoplease · 22/05/2018 22:47

Hi!

16+2 today, had 16 week appt last week and heard the heartbeat. Had DS(4) with me, he was very interested.

I think my appointments so far have been early because they were based on LMP dates. So even though I was put back at the 12 week scan they’ve stayed the same? I have my 20 week scan at 19+1. Not complaining at all!

Feeling little kicks occasionally, inconsistent so far so trying not to pay much attention to them yet as I’ll just worry. Trying to enjoy this stage as I have a visible bump but don’t feel sick and can enjoy food again. But it’s a bit like being in limbo- I don’t want to buy anything yet because the fun will be over too quickly! Planning to buy buggy/next to me crib in August. I should definitely start knitting a blanket, that should satisfy my preparing for baby urges.

TinyPawz · 22/05/2018 23:10

I think it's quiet because we have got past 1st trimester worries and now patiently waiting on flutters, anomaly scans, more exciting times. This bit of pregnancy seems to be fairly dull and slllloooooowwwwwww

TinyPawz · 22/05/2018 23:12

@Amarettoplease I'm half way through the first(of many) crochet blankets. It's in rainbow colours. My mum doesn't like it, she thinks the colours are too severe. She believes babies should have soft pastel colours. Anyway it'll be for the cot so won't be out and about.

CVB1990 · 22/05/2018 23:21

Loving the blanket ideas. I don’t think I would know where to start but I might give it a go. 😂
I have my early gender scan on Sunday and can not wait! We’re off to Florida on Tuesday so I’m saving all my baby splurges until we get there 🙌🏻 I got my first real purchase today, argos have the baby event on and the next to me has gone down to £129 from £179 so reserved and going to pick that up tomorrow. Crazy that we’re all coming upto the half way mark already! 💙💕
