Jen yes dd is darling daughter and then darling son I think. There will be a post somewhere on mumsnet that explains them all if you need.

tinypawz what sort of size are you after? I was in mothercare today and they had some blooming marvellous ones in 16/18/20 size if that’s any good for you? Xxx

MiniMinions · 24/05/2018 20:00

@LastNightsMakeUp sorry you are having back problems and hope appointment helps

@TinyPawz I got some 18 and 20 jeans from mothercare last time and they were really comfy. Need to find them and hope they still fit!!

MiniMinions · 24/05/2018 20:13

Anyone found any nice over bump black work trousers? Preferably bootcut...asda did have some online but not there now only tapered leg...

MeredithShepherd · 24/05/2018 21:21

Mine are bootcut over the bump trousers from Asda @MiniMinions I think they were £8! I didn’t see tapered when I looked I’d have preferred them!

MeredithShepherd · 24/05/2018 21:22

Any chance you are a size 10? I ordered a 10 and a 12, the 10s were a bit tight and then it was too late to send them back before I remembered! So I have a pair here I’m never going to wear if you want them?

TinyPawz · 24/05/2018 22:56

Well shopping was a disaster. Need 20 or 22. Very disheartening. Loads of places don't have maternity in store anymore. Credit card will be getting a battering over the weekend.

TinyPawz · 24/05/2018 22:58

@xXJenXx the nappy lady website is a mine of information about reusable nappies. There is a questionnaire you can fill out and in a few days one of the very knowledgeable ladies will get back to you with which nappy/ies is recommended for you. Depends on how often you want to wash etc.

moomoo85 · 25/05/2018 08:16

I really struggled with work trousers. I bought a pair from mothercare which are just passable in terms of how smart they are. Thankfully had a couple of pairs in the loft from last time

xXJenXx · 25/05/2018 09:35

@TinyPawz Thanks...I will take a look.

MiniMinions · 25/05/2018 13:24

@MeredithShepherd oh I wish I was a 10 or a 12 (can't ever remember being those sizes hehe) but thank you anyway

I've got one pair of underbump ones from last time but the band is thick and misshaped but they are an awful fit so hoping to find some over bump ones.

MeredithShepherd · 25/05/2018 17:46

Worth a try @MiniMinions
If anyone wants a pair of over bump black work trousers in a size 10 I’m happy to send them on to you!

Happychappy33 · 25/05/2018 18:22

I got some black ones from new look, they say wide leg but they aren’t particularly wide so may be good?

MiniMinions · 26/05/2018 13:58

@Happychappy33 good shout on new look they look good online! Just ordered some and a few tops too

NoCatsHere · 27/05/2018 08:27

Urgh I can’t find any damn maternity jeans either. I need nearer a 10, but the material is all so nasty and super tight, not really like jeans at all! Why is it so hard? I’m loathed to spend money on something crap for just 6 months but I really need a trouser option. So anyway I’ve had a jumper as a gift before from this company called STALF and they don’t make maternity wear but nice stuff (it’s not cheap) but I’m justifying it by the fact it’s made ethically and in the uk and because it’s not maternity stuff it’s not just for 6 months and I can wear it forever! I’ve just ordered their cocoon trousers as they look a nice shape and have an elasticated waist band! Hooray! Will let you know how I get on with them.

Oh and I can’t rememeber who recommended it but I’ve also ordered the knitty gritty book and I’m so excited to start trying to make some bits!

sarahhh1984 · 27/05/2018 09:22

@NoCatsHere That was me re: the Knitty Gritty book. Will be making some bits myself now as DD had chicken pox so will be stuck in for a bit.

Thankfully I've had it before so risk factor is low!

NovDoe · 27/05/2018 20:59

@NoCatsHere the cocoon trousers look lovely, as do some of their jumpsuits. I'd love to know what they're like when they arrive

Britta1 · 28/05/2018 10:40

Hi ladies! First time joining in but I’ve been following the thread for a while. Currently 15+5, EDD 13/11/18. How is everyone feeling? I’m getting a bit worried/paranoid but I just don’t feel pregnant anymore at all. All my symptoms have gone and im feeling great! I know the placenta will have taken over by now and that’s why I’m feeling better but I can’t help but worry that everything’s okay! I keep forgetting I’m growing a human!! No bump really yet either although this is my first, my tummy does seem to feel a little more rounded but I never had a flat stomach anyway so not sure if I’m just imagining it. Got my 16 week midwife appt on Thursday so hopefully that will ease my worries a bit. Anyone else feeling like this?

MiniMinions · 28/05/2018 14:21

Hi @Britta1! Expecting Number 2 here but I know what you mean about not feeling particularly pregnant at the mo. I'm 17w tomorrow and got my 16w midwife appt tomorrow. I'm an 18/20 normally and have got more of a tummy above trousers (think cake shelf than muffin top!!) and when I lay down in bed if I press gently around near belly button it is firmer.

Re maternity clothes just picked up an order from Asda and I ordered 18 in some and 20 in others (as remembered last time I got size up) but the 20 in some was huge!! Think even if I was full term I wouldn't fill it!! Am umming and ahhing with some of them whether to send back and get 18 but then again found some of my old ones and some of them are a 20 but small through washing so thinking may keep the new larger ones for the summer!! Just waiting for the new look order and then think that will be me done - will probably find the 18s in new look are too small haha

TinyPawz · 28/05/2018 18:27

Just over 15weeks but still feeling super tired. I really want that to go. Feel like nothing is getting done. Every time I sit down I'm falling asleep.

I've ordered some clothes from Tesco and bigger sizes than normal in Evans. I'm a 20/22 and finding maternity bottoms is breaking my spirit. Huge ass and thighs and now a bigger than normal belly. I reckon I'll be in cycling type shorts (for chub rub) and dresses for a good portion of this pregnancy

Magpie24 · 28/05/2018 18:59

Really struggling with maternity clothes here. Finding everything a bit rubbish quality to be honest.

17 weeks tomorrow and have been getting a jittery buzzing feeling in my stomach whenever sitting still. Think this must be the baby! How exciting

Amarettoplease · 28/05/2018 19:33

@Magpie24 have you tried Seraphine? I can’t justify the cost brand new but have a couple of bits from eBay- my favourite dress to wear to work is from there, wash and wear it at least once a week and it still looks and feels good.

NoCatsHere · 29/05/2018 09:59

NovDoe will definitely let you know how I get on with the cocoon trousers. I have the short jumpsuit from last year when I wasn’t pregnant and it was lovely. Really nice heavy quality material. I’m hoping to squeeze in a bit this summer too before bump gets too big.

I also second eBay to be able to get a few nicer bits but agree most of it is nasty quality, feels all scratchy and nylon. Currently making do with what I’ve got and dresses and leggings but it’s not my normal look!!!

I’m also feeling ok which has me nervous too. I’m 15 weeks tomorrow and can’t wait to feel movements! I can’t feel anything yet and my midwife appointment isn’t for another 2 weeks.

Countrymouse82 · 29/05/2018 11:26

Hi everyone, first time posting on here but been following for a wee while. Hope you're all well! @Britta1 I feel exactly the same - I could have written your post! Currently 15+4, no bump and symptoms are minimal which makes me a bit nervous. I've got my 16 week ap tomorrow so hoping the midwife will do a heartbeat check and put my mind at ease.

Is anyone else self employed? I've just downloaded the maternity allowance forms and feel like I'm swamped with paperwork before I even start!

xXJenXx · 29/05/2018 13:41

@Countrymouse82 I'm self employed too....I looked up maternity allowance but haven't got any further than that. Was thinking I had plenty of time but if there's mounds of paperwork I might need to get cracking!

Almost 15 weeks here and no bump yet...though my trousers are tight so I must be expanding slightly. I ordered a few pairs of Topshop maternity jeans on ebay which seem ok for the price I paid and the fact I'll only be wearing them for a few months.

My midwife appointment has been rescheduled so my 16 week check up will actually be at 18+4!

MiniMinions · 29/05/2018 15:40

@TinyPawz I am going to have to send back the new look work trousers I just received as although I ordered an 18 as current ones are 18-20 and these are much more generous as wide leg. So if you are normally 20-22 the 20 will be ok I reckon!
