Yes, my placenta is at the front. As it's my first I've nothing to compare it to, but I believe there may be less noticeable movements? Are there any other repercussions?

TheUbercornMum · 15/05/2018 12:56

I had my placenta at the front last time. It's totally fine, movements may be more muffled but you get used to the normal for you. No issues at all with it.

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 15/05/2018 13:09

Good to know.

Not really felt anything as yet and hoping it won't mute the baby too much.

NoCatsHere · 15/05/2018 15:42

Ok scan was today and all went well. NT reading at 2.6mm so lower than the 3mm she said it was at the 10 week private scan. Had bloods and will hopefully hear back by Friday. I can’t wait to finally relax, I can feel the fear lifting from the 2 mc last year. And I’m looking forward to being openly pregnant and telling my 2 ds. Hiding it is getting so hard. Oh and they moved me forward by 6 days so I’m 13 weeks tomorrow and due 21st November! And I think it looks like a boy!

PerfectlyPosed · 15/05/2018 15:48

Hi, can I join? Due 2nd November with second baby :)

sarahhh1984 · 15/05/2018 16:03

Congratulations @NoCatsHere! Glad all went well for you.

Welcome to the group @PerfectlyPosed!

Laurisi · 15/05/2018 16:48

@NoCatsHere congrats on the scan glad it went well.
@PerfectlyPosed welcome 😊

TinyPawz · 15/05/2018 17:34

@CatSneeze that does definitely look lovely or a boy.

TinyPawz · 15/05/2018 17:34

@NoCatsHere not catsneeze fml 🤦‍♀️

GreenMeerkat · 15/05/2018 19:48

@NoCatsHere glad you had a better NT result. Much more reassuring!!

I think it looks like a boy too! Come join team blue with me 😁

Melaniesunflower · 15/05/2018 21:06

Grrrrrrr...... just got scan date through...... for right in the middle of our holiday!!!!! Annoyed as I told them the dates we were going away, we'll be at John O' Groats at the time my appointment is scheduled for!!

LastNightsMakeUp · 15/05/2018 21:25

I think we'll be team blue too! I submitted my scan pic on the nub theory group and they said 'leaning to a boy.' I feel completely ridiculous, and selfish, and generally a really horrible person but there's a part of me that feels a bit disappointed. We already have dd so a ds would complete our family perfectly. I think my main worry is that I can't imagine loving a little boy as much as I love my daughter! I deserve a slap as I feel so lucky to have dd and to be having a healthy pregnancy, and all I really want is a healthy baby. Maybe now I've written it I'll also be able to see how ridiculous I'm being! Please sent virtual slaps my way!

@Melaniesunflower we were given a date when we are away for our 20 week scan and they changed it straight away and it was no problem.

Mayah · 15/05/2018 21:53

Is anyone else still feeling rough? 15 weeks today and I've still got morning sickness and so tired I pretty much knock out where ever I'm sat. Part of me is actually glad as it's almost a comfort to know everything's ok (hopefully) as we won't see baby for another 6 weeks. I still can't seem to let myself enjoy this pregnancy. I love being pregnant, but I can't shake the negative nagging at the back of my mind after my MC last November Sad meh.

Ravenclaw87 · 15/05/2018 22:11

Hi @xXJenXx I’m also in the north east - welcome to the group.

@Mayah I’m feeling generally better but then on Sunday had a random day of vomiting and being unable to get off the sofa due to tiredness. I’m 15 + 2 today.

I gave up and bought maternity jeans after my scan. I highly recommend they are so comfortable. Slowly running out of work clothes that fit now.

I’ve also made a start on my cloth nappy stash. This could definitely become an addictive pastime!

TinyPawz · 16/05/2018 00:26

I'm still on the hunt for plus size boot cut over bump jeans. They are like unicorns

GreenMeerkat · 16/05/2018 06:24

@LastNightsMakeUp I kind of understand how you feel. I have two DDs and I am so used to having girls that having a boy scares me a little, like I won't know how to love him the way I love my girls. I know I'm being silly and I will love him just as much but I do have that slight niggle to. Even though I am delighted to he having a boy now after two girls. Aren't we strange creatures?

Saga87 · 16/05/2018 06:35

I'm due on 15th November. Had two scans so far everything looks good.
I still throw up every time I brush my teeth other than that no more sickness.
I'm a bit fat and now by belly feels enormous already.

LastNightsMakeUp · 16/05/2018 07:30

@GreenMeerkat we're very strange indeed. I know I'll be completely in love with baby regardless of the sex - I think I'm just scared! I love to say to my dd 'you're my favourite girl' so at least I'll still be able to say that if twosie is a boy 😊. 6 weeks 1 day to find out for sure.

@TinyPawz www.mojomaternity.co.uk/jeans/regular-over-bump-plus-size-maternity-jeans any good? Woke up early so had a google for you!

@Saga87 I've been lucky this time and had very little sickness, but with dd brushing my teeth was the last thing that triggered my vomiting so hopefully you're at the tail end!

bellanotte22 · 16/05/2018 07:44

I think I'm probably having a boy too - the nub group all agreed! It's hard to get my head around after 2 DDs! I was convinced we'd have a third girl.

How will I deal with boy bits?? Parenting boys seems like it will be quite different, maybe I'm worrying over nothing. Am totally stuck on names for him though ShockGrin

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 16/05/2018 07:52

@TinyPawz I was a lot larger when I had DS and got maternity jeans from Next - maybe try there collection online? They were very comfy.

MiniMinions · 16/05/2018 08:14

@TinyPawz I'm also on the hunt for bootcut plus size in work trousers and jeans, not those drainpipe things hehe

TinyPawz · 16/05/2018 08:20

@LastNightsMakeUp thank you so much! Look great might need to get them taken up a little, I am short of leg.

HanahMarie · 16/05/2018 08:54

Ahh same EDD as me @NoCatsHere - and food news on your scan - lovely pic Wink

I am WFH today to receive multiple parcels of trousers that will hopefully be more comfortable than my current work ones 🙈 I'll let you know how I get on 🤞🏼

pipsqueak126 · 16/05/2018 09:31

I'm still feeling sick too - and the other end :-/ I think I'm 14+5 (I've not got my app to hand!) so no sign of a let up yet. I've just bought a pregnancy pillow from Amazon so looking forward to snuggling into that tomorrow! I'm scouring eBay for maternity jeans as H&M were sold out online. Good to see plenty of other things on there too, like new / nearly new Cocoonababys for a lot less than retail!!

Can I have a bit of advice please? We're looking into antenatal courses, and I can't choose between these two:

NCT Essentials, 5 evenings at 2 hours each
www.nct.org.uk/course/35254712

Baby Journey, 4 evenings at 2 hours each (midwife run / led)
www.thebabyjourney.co.uk/what-we-offer/antenatal-classes/

I know that people say to take NCT with a pinch of salt, so I'm swaying towards Baby Journey. I know both with provide me with local friends (hopefully!!) and that's also a sway - Baby Journey says they try and 'match make' you into groups that are likely to have things in common.

Am I reading too much into this??!

xXJenXx · 16/05/2018 10:44

@Ravenclaw87 Hi! I'm Middlesbrough area...

@Mayah I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow and wondering when my glow is going to arrive! I am SOOO tired all the time. I find I'm best in the mornings but by the time I'm home from work I'm totally exhausted. I tried to change the duvet on the bed the other day and had to sit down for a rest half way through hahaha! Also...my brain is a bit foggy. Anyone else?? I live in hope for a glowing 2nd trimester...
