I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

Hello! I'm on another thread in pregnancy but hadn't realised there was a whole ante-natal club page ☺️. Hope it's ok for me to join!

6 weeks tomorrow & this is my first pregnancy but I'm trying to avoid google like the plague & just trust my body on this one!

No sickness for me yet but have had 3pm exhaustion, early morning insomnia (which is going now I'm feeling even more tired!) and good aversions. Basically only feel like eating bread or crackers 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Oh and time is going sooooo slowly! Anyone else?!

waitingforbubbles · 08/05/2018 15:19

Meant to say, due 3rd Jan 🤞🏻☺️

jellyfish2210 · 08/05/2018 15:38

@waitingforbubbles there are a few of us in the group that are first timers. I'm due 1/1 and it's my first pregnancy too. I feel every little twinge my body makes

jellyfish2210 · 08/05/2018 15:39

And yes I've known for two weeks and it's been the longest two weeks ever! And it's another 6 before we are planning to tell everyone! That's ages away!!! Going to be a long 7.5 months!!

waitingforbubbles · 08/05/2018 15:40

@jellyfish2210 yes it's so hard isn't it! I have almost constant low level cramping and my mum said she doesn't remember that from her pregnancies. It does seem to be fairly normal but it is quite disconcerting!

loopdeelou · 08/05/2018 15:47

@waitingforbubbles I have cramping right this minute. My lower back has been aching all day. I keep getting up to stretch! It's making me worried but I'm hoping these faint cramps are normal!

jellyfish2210 · 08/05/2018 15:56

I definitely have the same kind of cramping. It's like super mild period pain. From what o have read it's all normal

loopdeelou · 08/05/2018 16:14

Yep it's like that @jellyfish2210. I'm not too worried but it does feel like af is coming. Just hoping it passes.

Honestly it feels like I need to do a massive fart lol!! It just never comes though!

loopdeelou · 08/05/2018 16:40

Apologies for lowering the tone!!

ohhellojo · 08/05/2018 17:18

🤣🤦🏼‍♀️🌬 that made me lol so much, I’ve been blaming OH on my farts 🤷🏼‍♀️

Upsydasiy · 08/05/2018 17:37

Feeling so green today 🤢 and it tends to get worse in the evening!

With you @loopdeelou on feeling like AF is coming.

Literally praying I have a sticky little bean.

So grateful for this thread already 😘

wasthataburp · 08/05/2018 20:25

I'm going to join in! Just got 2 BFNs tonight!! This will be my second baby and first baby is only 9 months old now!

Took us a year to conceive last time but happened first month this time! We are still a little in shock but excited too!

Not planning on telling anyone until after scan. Just going to keep it for ourselves at the moment. Although we are going on holiday in a couple of weeks with another couple and their baby so might have to share the news with them as they will soon suss out why I'm not drinking!

wasthataburp · 08/05/2018 20:38

BFPs!! Lol

Pearcrumble · 08/05/2018 20:48

Hello everyone, I'd like to join the group. Dipping my toes in for first time, although I've been lurking a lot! Found out I'm pregnant on Saturday, if all goes well this will be my first. I think I'm roughly 5 weeks but I haven't had a period since I stopped the minipill so not very sure and in a bit of disbelief! I know I've been very lucky.

Looking forward to hopefully having people to chat to about all this! Hope everyone is feeling not-too-sick-but-just-sick-enough-to-be-reassured-they-didnt-dream-itWink that's where I'm at this eve!

LeeCee · 08/05/2018 22:14

Welcome @Pearcrumble & @wasthataburp ! Great to have new BFPs on board!

I spent this evening with two of my closest friends and managed not to tell them hurray! So difficult!! Will have to avoid people a little as the weeks go on!

Pearcrumble · 08/05/2018 22:23

Thanks @Leecee! That is quite an achievement, I only just managed to reply to a WhatsApp from my friends this eve without blurting it out, I don't think I'd keep it in face to face!

LeeCee · 08/05/2018 22:57

Oh lord girls - I know I wished it on myself but I think the morning sickness has arrived tonight 🤢

Upsydasiy · 09/05/2018 06:09

Morning everyone
Congratulations on the new BFPs

Hope we are all feeling well today x

helbel42 · 09/05/2018 06:33

Morning! Congrats to new bfps!

I'm almost half way through hols now, and am 6+1, morning sickness has not been fun, keep telling myself it's a good sign but I'm now feeling nauseous pretty much all day so it's hard going, no actual sickness though thankfully. I read Vitamin B6 helps so I've bought some of that, see if it makes a difference. Apart from that I get what feels like mild period pain a few times a day. Then it's just the bloat, I'm huge by the evening!

Hope everyone else is doing ok, and is coping with the nausea better than I am! x

wasthataburp · 09/05/2018 06:42

I think the morning sickness is hitting me now! I really hope it's not bad like it was last time. Last pregnancy I was vomiting every day until about 20 weeks or so.

We have a boozy lunch planned on sat with friends so I'm really not sure how I'm going to not drink and get away with not telling!! Any ideas?

emdoc · 09/05/2018 07:48

@wasthataburp maybe accept a drink when you arrive to reduce suspicion, then secretly trade your full one with DH as he finishes his? I think people pay much less attention once you say yes to booze, they wouldn’t even necessarily notice if you drank it. Otherwise say you’re on a detox? We’re meeting friends next weekend and I have to drive after so that can sort of be an excuse but I know people will suspect if I turn down even one drink since we’ll be there for hours! Honestly I try to think that even if my friends suspect, they probably won’t say anything, and if they do, I’ll lie 😆

Had a good day nausea-wise yesterday and now of course I’m worrying something is wrong 🙄 I had an extra CB digital from the same pack so I took it yesterday and now says 3+ weeks so hopefully that’s a good sign!

I saw my GP and I’ll be getting a dating scan may 23rd as we don’t at all know what my cycles are supposed to be like since I’d just come off the Mirena. I had counted 2 days of spotting as a period but she’s not so sure and thinks I could be farther along than I think. I hope it’s all good! If it is, I’m planning to tell my parents after that.

jellyfish2210 · 09/05/2018 08:36

The commute to work has become bad for me. It's only 20-30mins in the car but I feel so sick. Have put a bucket in the back seat just in case, there aren't many places to pull over for me to throw up!

Otherwise my boobs are sore but I'm getting used to it. I got some new soft wireless bras at the weekend and that's definitely helped. As for the tiredness, that hits about 3pm. Currently trying to write a paper for my part time uni work and it's hard going, I'm just so tired!

wasthataburp · 09/05/2018 09:01

yeh, im thinking ill just accept a drink and just pretend to drink it. if we have wine by the bottle then no one should notice as the glasses will just be kept full!

Have you all been to see the midwife for first apps? Last time I didnt know I was pregnant until about 10 weeks so is it too soon to make appointment now - I'm 4+6.
