I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

@CobaltRose I can definitely see that. It's darker than the line I got on the first day. I tested again the next morning and it was much darker. I'd try again in the morning!

@LeeCee I had so many symptoms but they have been easing off. With such a busy today I did have moments of feeling totally well and great and then that makes me worried! I'm sure it's all just hormones going up and down and doesn't mean much.

Hi everyone, really excited and happy, this is my first pregnancy and due 10th January (I think..) Feeling light nausea but otherwise well ... oh and I think my boobs have grown about a cup size already Shock. Congratulations to everyone here!

Woody096 · 06/05/2018 22:26

Hey Ladies!

Had a bfp on Friday so just 4+3. This will be no 2. randomly it was my Fitbit that put me on edge I may get a bfp, my heart rate shot up and didn’t come down.

We have been trying for 8 months, we are not telling anyone until the 12 week scan, think I can hide it from the family as my sister is due to give birth any day now.

I feel apprehensive about falling work. Been working on a long time project which should have finished in March 18, then got extended to sept18 & now there is talk of March 19 so not sure how well my news will be received 😳

LeeCee · 06/05/2018 23:33

Welcome @Woody096 & @TheNewDelia and massive congrats!

@Woody096 whatever the work thing is please try not to stress - it's just work and your pregnancy and time off is far more important in the grand scheme of things!

@TheNewDelia a cup size up already! I can't wait for that side effect! 😂

LeeCee · 06/05/2018 23:35

@loopdeelou so glad you're in the same boat. Boobs still tender but I'm also wishing morning sickness on myself which is madness I know!

Told my parents and sister tonight. So exciting to share the news and definitely made it feel a lot more real!! 🤗

Hi everyone I’m going to cautiously join at the minute. AF isn’t due till tomorrow but I’ve had faint positives Sat & yesterday. Trying to hold out till tomorrow to test again but worried the lines should have been darker at 12dpo. I had a MMC back in January and this was our first month trying since then so didn’t expect it to happen so quickly. My anxiety levels are so bad, with the pregnancy that ended in miscarriage I had a feeling I was pregnant before I even done a test but I don’t have any symptoms this time around. If all is ok I will be due 16th January. The timing isn’t the greatest because in the next few weeks I am starting a new role in work plus have 2 hen nights & 2 weddings so keeping it a secret is going to prove difficult 🙈

Took another test this morning and got this....

laurs2309 · 07/05/2018 08:58

@CobaltRose could you try one of the digital tests? That might help to put your mind at rest as it's a definitive yes or no rather than the feint lines 😊

laurs2309 · 07/05/2018 09:50

@stegosauruslady glad I'm not the only one feeling pukey today! Yesterday was nausea but today is more like I'm going to actually be sick. It's going to be a loooong 6 or 7 weeks I think. I go on holiday in 4 weeks so hoping by then I'll have mastered some coping strategies!

Aph413 · 07/05/2018 10:47

Don't think it's good news for me. My cramping seems to be more regular and my tests are fading. Told my mum this morning I'm pregnant but don't think I'm staying that way and promptly burst into tears.
No bleeding yet but I'm not holding out hope.
Breasts still feel like they're on fire and I'm having hot flashes like there's no tomorrow. Just trying to relax now

peaches1991 · 07/05/2018 11:42

FX for you @Aph413 Flowers

TheNewDelia · 07/05/2018 11:52

@Aph413 I'm so sorry to hear that :( but do keep some hope for a few days.

@emdoc I just ordered the Expecting Better book on Kindle and loving it's no-nonsense advice, very valuable! Thanks for the recommendation.

I'm catching up on work today as was too excited last week to do any Blush hopefully I won't have to do this every weekend that I am pregnant!!

Pyxie · 07/05/2018 11:56

Hi all,
Took a test today as my boobs were feeling a bit sore and I was shocked to see it come up positive! Not sure when I'm due, I think early January. I have a ds who is 18months so this will be #2
Still in a bit of shock tbh!

peaches1991 · 07/05/2018 12:13

@pyxie omg that's such a strong line! Congrats xx

Pyxie · 07/05/2018 12:20

Thanks peaches, I think I might be about 6 weeks. I can't believe I'm that person who didn't know she was pregnant!

peaches1991 · 07/05/2018 12:26

@pyxie I sort of wish I hadn't found out so soon - I only took a test because I was on the clearblue trial and had to take one for that! How comes you didn't find out sooner?

Pyxie · 07/05/2018 12:48

We were ntnp rather than actively trying and my temping chart didn't detect ovulation this month ironically!

emdoc · 07/05/2018 14:07

So many new BFPs, welcome and congrats everyone!

@Aph413 fingers crossed for you, I’m not sure about the lines but I’ve definitely had heavy cramping at times and I think it can be normal.

I’m feeling queasy today, seeing my GP in case I need meds for my upcoming holiday, as I imagine it will get worse before it gets better!

Glad some of you are enjoying Expecting Better, I like it too! Can’t say I’ve changed anything yet but I feel more confident in my decisions. I will probably have sushi at some point now that I’ve read that section 😁

LG93 · 07/05/2018 16:39

Is anyone else finding they have no appetite at all? I've been feeling queasy for a week or so but even when it wears off (today's been a good day actually) I eat a few bites of food and then have to stop as I feel full and sick again?! All I've eaten today is a bowl of cereal, half a sandwich and a Greek yoghurt (and I've had a few twiglets on and off over the afternoon) - normally I can't stop scoffing my face!

Worried I'm not eating enough 🙈

Aph413 · 07/05/2018 16:57

@LG93 I'm sort of them same. Can't decide if I just feel sick because I'm so hungry but I also don't want to eat anything. My stomach is so uncomfortable and bloated too

jellyfish2210 · 07/05/2018 21:05

I've been feeling really sick but worked out that it's definitely related to hunger. I start to feel sick around meal times. Also the worst thing is that I will really want something to eat, my DH will get it for me then halfway through eating it i don't want it anymore! What is this nonsense!!

emdoc · 08/05/2018 00:35

I’m having waves of nausea/extreme hunger/normalcy/feeling soooo full. I think vomiting is near 😮

Upsydasiy · 08/05/2018 06:39

Morning all. So I’ve developed weird early morning insomnia. I usually struggle to get up in a morning but been waking up around 5am 🙈

How is everyone today?
Knicker checking continues today.
Did my last first response today and the test line is darker than the control line 😊 however I’ve stupidly been still doing my baby and it’s dropped 🙈🤞. DH is now hiding the thermometer 😂
