I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

@leliana such an interesting read! I’ve wondered about mens age and the risk of MC, but not gotten round to actually researching it (a bit nervous for what I might find tbf). There’s 16 years between my OH and I and the part about mens age affecting MC rates vs. the womans age is super interesting to me - he’s over 40 and I’m under 30 so the risk is pretty low thankfully :) thanks for the link!

Leliana · 01/06/2018 01:04

@ohhellojo There's several years between me and my DH, and he's over 40, so that is a live issue for me too!

FuckMyUterus · 01/06/2018 06:35

Morning ladies. I'm back. I didn't want to keep posting if I was going to have a miscarriage, however after the 2 days of very light spotting with no pains etc I'm fairly confident this pregnancy is progressing. My lower tummy (where you'd normally have a 'dip' before reaching vajayjay territory) is swollen, Ive gone up a bra size and after adding naps up I've worked out I'm sleeping around 14hrs a day.
leilana I have the backache also, I've had it in all my pregnancies, including my successful one.

Frenchiemamax · 01/06/2018 08:23

fuckmyuterus glad you’re back! How many weeks are you now then?

First actual morning sickness this morning, brushing my teeth set me off 🤢

byanyothernamerose · 01/06/2018 08:34

@FuckMyUterus ...it's great that you are back!! I don't post to much but I do follow avidly and feel so so hopeful for all the women on this thread...

@Frenchiemamax how many weeks were you when your morning sickness started? Is it everyday or more sporadic?

I have had intermittent nausea for the last few weeks (only 5+2) and felt like I could be sick but haven't been physically sick just yet?

byanyothernamerose · 01/06/2018 08:35

*too much...Shock

Frenchiemamax · 01/06/2018 08:39

byany I have felt nauseous since about 5wks, today I’m 7+2 but actually feel much better for having been sick! Hoping yours passes x

Januarybaby19 · 01/06/2018 08:42

Glad you’re back @fuckmyuterus!

I just wanted to say that I am finding this thread really helpful and comforting - it’s all new for me and knowing there are others in the same boat really helps! I’m really struggling with tiredness and the more tired I am the more sick I feel!

Anyone got any tips for bloating? By the evening I feel gigantic! Confused

Maxbenji · 01/06/2018 08:51

Hi all, not been on here for a few days and had loads to catch up on!
Sorry for those with miscarriage symptoms xx
And lovely scans some of you!
I've got a 2yo who will be 3 before baby comes, i think I'm 9 weeks and have my booking appt next week.
I've been busy with 3yo birthday parties, swimming and travelling for about 5 hours in 2 days for work!
At work hr know, as does my immediate boss and the director and h&s manager (i work in construction) mainly in the office but visit sites so already have a h&s plan in place. As its number 2 will tell everyone else after 12 weeks.
Parents and my sister know, again will tell others after the scan.
Stopped feeling as nauseous now, but really hungry and def have a bump but I think its a bit bloating and a bit eating junk!
Got a cold & cough at the moment but got a good nights sleep yesterday and a lazy day annual leave today!

Leliana · 01/06/2018 09:11

Morning ladies! I don't work Fridays, so I'm looking forward to another day with the relatives who have come to stay. Sadly my sister didn't take my pregnancy news well - she's been with her partner for a while and he's refusing to get married or start a family, so I think my news was difficult for her to hear. My parents remain thrilled about the pregnancy though, and are being supportive if a little overprotective!

I feel very nauseous this morning (I'm 7+5), but I've still not actually vomited! Still another 2 weeks before the hormone levels peak, so who knows if I will get some vomiting or not.

Upsydasiy · 01/06/2018 18:11

Evening.
How’s everyone getting on?
I’m having a particularly bad day with sickness so feeling pretty crappy! 😩

emdoc · 01/06/2018 18:13

I’m not feeling great. Forced myself to go to the gym and made it through my workout feeling very queasy but had to be sick in the changing room as soon as I was done 😩 all I feel like doing is lying around today but I have things I need to get done!

Ash1992 · 01/06/2018 18:39

When is the sickness symptoms meant to ease off or do they rise and peak everyday ?

Ozzyseb · 01/06/2018 19:50

Evening all! Had a bit of a strange day today! Had a phone call from the mw to book a time she can come round to mine etc and I happened to mention an ache I've been having in my groin/leg area it's not really painful just a niggle that's there and i haven't had any bleeding. So she booked me an appointment at the hospital gp, saw a lovely doctor there who said she doesn't think there's anything wrong or an ectopic etc but she's sending me for an early scan anyway on Monday which I'm fine with Smile she gave me a letter she had written up for me to give to them on Monday which whilst in the car before I left I read. The letter said diagnosis: ectopic pregnancy (suspected)....now im freaking out! Trying to convince myself that she probably put that down so she could get me the early scan and that she doesn't actually think that Sad because why would she tell me she thought everything was ok if she actually thought there was a problem Confused

Anyway! I hope you have all had a nice day and your nausea isn't too bad! Smile

Upsydasiy · 01/06/2018 19:55

@emdoc well done you for going to gym.
I’ve been no good to anyone today suffering with low blood pressure and feeling really dizzy/faint.

Frenchiemamax · 01/06/2018 20:02

Hopefully they’ve worried you for no reason Ozzy! Hope it all goes well for you.

Have thrown up twice today, boobs feel HUGE, belly feels huge also and I’m knackered. Feel a lot more pregnant than I am if that makes sense?!

WeeBump89 · 01/06/2018 21:06

@Frenchiemamax have you had a scan?

Tonight I have a sore tummy and can't be far from the toilet. Feels awful. had tiny but of spotting so think that area is just really irritated :( Hoping it stops.

Soontobemumof4 · 01/06/2018 21:15

This morning sucked but had a GP appointment at lunch, and after two doses of anti sickness meds I'm starting to feel human again Smile

ohhellojo · 01/06/2018 22:09

@ozzyseb meybe she’s sending you for a scan to completely rule out the possibilty of an ectopic pregnancy even though she reckons you’re fine anyway. So jel of your early scan!

Leliana · 01/06/2018 22:11

@ozzyseb I suspect the medical team want to rule out an ectopic, but if they felt it was likely and they were concerned about you they wouldn't be leaving you over the weekend! I know it's easier said than done, but unless your symptoms worsen, please try not to fret.

@ash1992, IIRC hormone levels peak in week 10, and many women are feeling better by the early second trimester.

Ash1992 · 01/06/2018 22:23

@leliana thanks for letting me know . I have bad bloated stomach and can hear gas and feel it in my stomach any remedies anyone

WeeBump89 · 01/06/2018 22:39

@ash. I swear by peppermint water! Works a treat! Also Gaviscon with it x

Ash1992 · 01/06/2018 23:05

@weebump89 peppermint water ?? I've had peppermint tea bags before

Ozzyseb · 01/06/2018 23:05

Thank you everyone. Really hoping everything is ok and they just want to be absolutely certain. I'm not having the paid anymore so that's good I guess Smile
Really hope you all have a lovely weekend x
