I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

almost due date twins @SunshineSparklesSmiles*

sexnotgender · 28/05/2018 15:06

I’m moving house too! Don’t do things by halves. Got the keys today but not officially moving in for about 5/6 weeks as decorators are starting tomorrow and want my daughter to finish the academic year at her current school.

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 28/05/2018 15:07

@KimBeau, great news that we're due around the same time! Wishing you all the best for your early scan. I'm counting the days until mine.

KimBeau · 28/05/2018 19:44

Hi all. Sadly our baby didn't make it. The sac measures 8w 3d but the baby only 6w something, and no heartbeat. They don't know why; but it looks like the sac may have ruptured so it could be to do with that.

I have to go to A&E or my early pregnancy unit, so I'm choosing to call the EPU tomorrow morning rather than sit in A&E for hours on a bank holiday.

Just trying to be matter of fact about this; no reason for us to have issues in the future, hopefully one of those things. We're very upset but trying to feel hopeful for the future. We're glad we had an early scan and know now rather than in 3-4 weeks.

Wishing you all the best! Please don't worry because of our news xxx

Frenchiemamax · 28/05/2018 20:31

@KimBeau so sorry to hear that, but keeping everything crossed that you’ll have good news again soon xxx

Leliana · 28/05/2018 20:38

@KimBeau So sorry to hear that Flowers

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 28/05/2018 21:02

@KimBeau I'm so sorry Flowers

WeeBump89 · 28/05/2018 21:07

@kimbeau I am so sorry to see this. I hope the nurses and doctors will treat you well tomorrow xxx

Frenchiemamax · 28/05/2018 21:21

Please help put my mind at rest. Just noticed a blob of red blood in my knickers, not loads, maybe a 6cm circle, but the blood was red and not pink or brown. Could this be normal?

Frenchiemamax · 28/05/2018 21:22

Also had some mild cramping on my lower right hand side this afternoon, beginning to feel very nervous ☹️

Leliana · 28/05/2018 21:49

@frenchiemamax handhold Many women have some bleeding in early pregnancy and go on to have a normal pregnancy, so this is not necessarily the end of the world. However, any significant bleed should be checked out, especially in association with pain (and particularly with one-sided pain). Do you still have the right-sided pain now? I don't mean to alarm you, but if you're still in pain and you've had a bleed you really need to see a doctor asap to rule out an ectopic Flowers

emdoc · 29/05/2018 02:09

@KimBeau I’m so sorry to hear your sad news Flowers. I hope you and DH have lots of support; be kind to yourselves. I truly believe you will have good news soon and I think your attitude is a good one. Doesn’t make it any less sad though. ❤️

@Frenchiemamax sorry for your scary experience too! I agree with @Leliana that you should get checked out especially to rule out an ectopic. Hopefully it’s just some normal spotting!

Englishpetal89 · 29/05/2018 10:01

Hi, thought I'd join in here as well as the thread in the pregnancy section. I'm 5+6 with #1 today, got my booking app in a week and a bit, super excited!

Soontobemumof4 · 29/05/2018 10:48

Struggling today, managed to keep a small amount of food down but feel so sick Sad it just seems so much harder to deal with this time. Smallest one was awake so much last night.. I didn't see a doctor till 14 weeks last time, because I was stubborn. I'll not be making that mistake again.

How is everyone else today? DH is frantically looking at houses etc. We said when pregnant with no.3 that this place wasn't big enough and here we are adding another to it.

Leliana · 29/05/2018 11:35

After all my reassuring words to others on this thread, it's my turn: sadly I had a small amount of dark brown spotting this morning. No pain, and no further bleeding. Our local EPAU has a long wait (up to a week, apparently), so I've not even tried to be seen on the NHS - I've managed to book a private scan tomorrow. Moment of tension this morning when my very laid-back DH felt that even that was an overreaction! He's come round now and is being appropriately sympathetic, bless him, even though he's convinced it'll turn out to be just normal spotting.

Weirdly, last night I dreamed I had a bleed and then had a normal scan, so I'm desperately hoping that dream comes true.

Frenchiemamax · 29/05/2018 11:48

Leliana thank you for your kind words for me, sorry to hear you’re having a worrying time too!! I also have a scan tomorrow so fingers crossed for us both xx

Soontobemumof4 · 29/05/2018 12:00

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Leliana

LG93 · 29/05/2018 12:17

Welcome to the newbies and Flowers to those who are having bad news or struggling.

The tablets are still helping, although I feel quite nauseous still but at least I can eat. I think a large part of my problem now is psychological as when I eat I'm basically sitting and waiting to be sick again, and when I'm nauseous I try and avoid food as I'm so desperate not to be sick again. DH managed to convince me to pick at some dinner last night and breakfast today and I've kept it down so just trying to focus on all the times I've eaten and not been sick rather than the times I have. I'd like an early scan to put my mind at ease but DH isn't keen sadly

Leliana · 29/05/2018 12:25

Thank you @Frenchiemamax and @Soontobemumof4 Flowers Will be thinking of you tomorrow Frenchie!

@LG93 Hope you're ok. Remember, there is evidence that suggests that morning sickness is associated with a LOWER miscarriage rate - so, as grotty as it is, it may be a good sign. Fingers crossed for you.

Frenchiemamax · 29/05/2018 12:28

LG93 glad you seem to be improving! The nausea is awful but I try and remember that every day I feel nauseous it (hopefully) means that little bean is in there growing and doing his thing!

Ozzyseb · 29/05/2018 13:09

@leliana and @frenchiemamax will be thinking of you both tomorrow Flowers

emdoc · 29/05/2018 14:30

Good luck @leliana and @frenchiemamax! Hope everything is totally fine for both of you and that you get to meet your little beans on screen tomorrow!

I had to work a night shift last night, did ok until early morning and started to feel way more queasy. It was all I could do not to vomit at work and had to pull over to be sick on the drive home! Ate some food after though and that helped. I have been taking meds every night but didn’t before my shift because I was worried they might make me sleepy so maybe that was it, but I’ve been sick a few mornings even when I did take the tablets so who knows. I hope it doesn’t get much worse 🙁 my job is not one where I can really afford to be unwell!

Leliana · 29/05/2018 14:44

@emdoc I infer we are in a similar line of work (but minus the nightshifts for me). Good luck getting on top of the vomiting. Which antiemetic are you on? Most of the commonly used ones aren't sedating IME...

Lollipop86 · 29/05/2018 18:25

Hi all, haven't been checking this page for a few days as had some bleeding and was trying not to think of anything pregnancy related too much. Off for a scan tomorrow keeping fingers crossed for others with the same plans! Xxxx

Leliana · 29/05/2018 19:11

That makes three of us getting scanned tomorrow, @Lollipop86 - good luck!
