I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

Hi Girls! I am 5/40 today. Due January 27th. Booked in for private scan on 16th for an early scan as we couldn’t wait to meet our little bean :)

gemsparkle84 · 27/05/2018 22:44

Hi everyone! 6 weeks with number 2 Smile
Hope everyone who has been struggling with sickness starts to feel better soon! X

BrunetteBear · 28/05/2018 06:39

Morning! Another lurker emerging from the shadows - 5w2 today with my second and an EDD of 26th Jan. Not got many symptoms yet but I had horrible nausea for the whole of my last pregnancy (which started from week 6) so I’m just waiting for that to kick in...!

Massive sympathy hugs to those who are struggling xx

FuckMyUterus · 28/05/2018 07:53

Tbh I think I overreacted yesterday, I actually have quite pale yellow discharge, which I always get during every pregnancy, successful or not. This discharge somehow manages to look pink/pale red on the ORANGE toilet paper my OH decided to buy, the pillock.

gemsparkle84 · 28/05/2018 08:24

Ok so nausea has kicked in this morning... oh dear...

sexnotgender · 28/05/2018 08:57

Ditto gemsparkle84 feeling dreadful.

stegosauruslady · 28/05/2018 09:35

Morning! I'm back from a busy few days of camping, the thunderstorm was excellent to camp in! DP and I ended up knackered because we woke up to watch it though. The kids slept right through it!

Half term here, I'm giving the kids a day to flop around the house today before I make them do fun things all week.

I'm seven weeks today, still feeling ill as hell, but a bit less tired than I was from weeks 4-6. Which is grand. I can cope with the feeling sick, but I have three children, I cannot be tired!

WeeBump89 · 28/05/2018 09:47

Oh wow! The lightening must have been interesting. How did you find camping whilst pregnant?

Soontobemumof4 · 28/05/2018 09:48

Half term here too, I've got three at home and DH is working all week Sad

No sickness yet just lots of nausea, odd as last pregnancy I was sick from before I got the bfp. Some days are better than others, just so tired bit I'm guess having three kids already who don't sleep great isn't helping.

WeeBump89 · 28/05/2018 09:49

So far I am just tired a little bit crampy in my pelvis but no sickness as yet (touch wood). Feeling because of the warm weather we are having it’s hard to fall asleep. May as well get used to it lol

Leliana · 28/05/2018 10:03

I wouldn't want to be heavily pregnant in the summer, so we January EDDers are lucky in that respect - by the time our bumps get big, it'll be autumn!

My boobs are hurting more by the day, and I'm still getting full very easily, but no vomiting yet. Fingers crossed I won't get any. I gather bHCG levels peak in week 10, so my symptoms could still get worse before they get better!

stegosauruslady · 28/05/2018 10:05

Weebump89 pretty much the same as camping while not pregnant! We love camping so have a pretty comfy set up, I always sleep well in our tent.

soontobemumoffour DP is working most of the week here too. Although my lot have asked to do the gymnastics camp their teachers put on over half term, so I'll have a few hours to myself each day.

SunshineSparklesSmiles · 28/05/2018 10:15

Hello All, I'm new to the thread and thought I would check in and say hi. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow, due sometime between 31st Dec and 2nd Jan. I've got my booking in appt tomorrow and a private scan booked for the following Tuesday as I'm a natural worrier. I hope you are all okay. I'm just getting waves of nausea, a bloated belly and am a bit emotional at times. Excited for my booking in appt even though I've heard it's mainly paperwork!

PumpkinPatch000 · 28/05/2018 10:16

@Leliana that's a really good point, I hadn't thought of that. Not being heavily pregnant during the heat is a bonus.

@fuckmyuterus i'm glad things are looking better today. I understand how scary it is. I had a MC in Feb and i've had brown spotting the past few days. I went to EPU on Friday and thankfully everything was ok but the internal scan has made the spotting worse so I still can't relax. It's horrible!

Anyone got any tips to help with the morning sickness? Mine has definitely ramped up today to the point where I thought I was actually going to be sick. Never been so thankful for a bank holiday so it's one day less at work.

Leliana · 28/05/2018 10:19

@pumpkinpatch000 Try eating something before you get your head off the pillow - perhaps just a dry cracker. Nausea is often worse if you have an empty stomach, paradoxically.

SOME CHEEKY FUCKER HAS PARKED ON MY DRIVE. Not sure I have the energy for a Chat thread with a diagram, but I am incensed! I have left a note, and keep peeking out my window to see if the fucker has gone.

PumpkinPatch000 · 28/05/2018 10:25

Thanks @Leliana I will definitely try that!

What a cheek parking on your drive?! That is unbelievable. How rude! I hope they don't leave their car there for long.

Soontobemumof4 · 28/05/2018 10:30

stegosauruslady that's not too bad then. My lot have come down with colds over the weekend so we're having a day at home doing not a lot. Usuly DH is away Monday to Friday, but he's local atm so home every day Smile

I'm struggling with the reality of having 4 kids in Jan, and close together in age to! Seriously stressing about how we'll fit this one in the house too.

Anyone else stressing and worrying about stuff that doesn't really need to be thought about yet ????

Leliana · 28/05/2018 10:31

I noticed the car an hour ago and it hasn't moved yet Angry If it's still there this afternoon, I will probably name and shame on the local Facebook group - and if it's still there this evening I might have to ask the police if it's been stolen and abandoned...

Woody096 · 28/05/2018 10:40

Apologies introduced myself ages ago and then not post anything. Had an early scan last week, all good and could see the heartbeat. This weekend I have been struck down with a stomach bug doing the rounds 🤢🤢
I am in the worrying camp at the moment: mainly because we desperately need to move house but after 18 months have found nothing, only upside is we have a bigger deposit and secondly I am absolutely dreading telling Work!

WeeBump89 · 28/05/2018 10:43

@leliana you are kidding that’s crazy! Any ideas where they have gone to? Do you have shops or train station near by??

Leliana · 28/05/2018 11:03

@WeeBump89 I live in a small market town. I'm about a 5 minute walk from the town centre, and 10 from the station, but there is ample parking (much of it free) closer to both the shops and the station! I do live near a primary school, but it's Bank Holiday Monday so there is no school today!

I've just posted on my local Facebook group, so if anybody here happens to live in my boring little market town they will know who I am now Grin

stegosauruslady · 28/05/2018 11:10

soontobemumoffour Yeah, four kids is quite a lot of kids! We will have to move house in a couple of years, but while I'm pregnant we need to get a new kitchen and new bathroom!

I'm also going to have to do all of the night wakings with this baby myself, DP has some health issues that are made worse by lack of sleep...so I'm planning to set things up to make nights as easy as humanly possible, getting a bedside crib, I'll have changing stuff at the end of the bed, DP has said he will buy me a new TV for the bedroom...yes, I'm worrying about stuff I don't need to worry about yet!

Jebbs · 28/05/2018 11:12

@lottiemcg @Ozzyseb So glad it's not just me! I'm getting over a cold and had a coughing fit last night and had a really sharp pain down there. It died away but I was wondering if I should be telling my doctor when I next see her...

@LG93 Really glad you're feeling a bit better. Hope it continues to improve.

Unrelated, but got sent to do some blood work and one of the things they check is the pregnancy hormone stuff. It's kinda cool to see the pregnancy in that way rather than just a line on a stick.

Leliana · 28/05/2018 12:25

The car has been moved! Very odd explanation actually. The owner had previously asked if they could occasionally use that corner of our drive for 30 minutes on a Thursday morning, as they visit a relative then. As we don't use the drive on Thursday mornings I'd said she could continue in the short-term while she found an alternative. Why she thought that entitled her to come on a different day, and park for over 2 hours when our drive is clearly in use by us, I'll never know. She found our note and came to apologise and has agreed never to use our drive again (not even on a Thursday). The strangest thing is that I'm sure the car I've seen on previous Thursdays is a totally different make and model - I've never seen this make and colour in that space before. I'd even made a note on my phone of the make and model she drives and the fact that I'd agreed to it being there for 30 minutes on a Thursday. She is now denying all knowledge of the other car and claiming the car she drove today is her only car, despite the fact I've never seen it before. Either she's gaslighting me, or pregnancy is making me hallucinate Envy

KimBeau · 28/05/2018 14:27

Hi @SunshineSparklesSmiles! We're apart due date twins - I'm one day behind you! I have an early scan tonight for peace of mind. Hopefully. Pretty nervous.

And yes, whoever posted about worrying (sorry, i can't memorise more than one @ at a time!), I am worrying about putting our flat on the market and finding a house and all the stress that comes along with that. Pretty much worrying about being stressed 😂 The good thing is if we don't move, it's not a disaster but my husband will have to put a lot of his crap into storage 😂
