I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

sexnotgender was very diluted urine too. I had a twin MC in 2017. By last period my due date is 26th January

sexnotgender · 26/05/2018 18:46

Sorry for your loss fuckmyuterus, hope this one has a positive outcome for you.

KimBeau · 26/05/2018 18:50

Ah that's cool @waitingforbubbles! Time is going soooo slowly for me. We also have a festival to go to soon with lots of friends so being reassured at this scan (everything crossed) may mean we feel more able to tell them rather than me pretending to be on antibiotics and dealing with a ton of peer pressure!!

@ld1234 no cravings for me; the only thing I've noticed is I'm not as obsessed with spicy food as I usually am.

I am so so bloated again today to the point I can let it all go and look many more months pregnant than I really am. Is quite relaxing in a way but I do feel a bit uncomfortable!

FuckMyUterus · 26/05/2018 18:54

sexnotgender thank you, me too, although I'm reluctant to get stupidly excited tbh.

sexnotgender · 26/05/2018 18:57

I'm cautious too fuckmyuterus, I had an early miscarriage last month so a bit anxious.

FuckMyUterus · 26/05/2018 19:24

Well fingers, toes and legs crossed for us both then sexnotgender I've had several miscarriages, all between 8 and 9 weeks so I'm relatively relaxed at this point, it'll be in a few weeks time that I start to worry.

emdoc · 26/05/2018 22:03

@FuckMyUterus my line looked like that very early too and I’ve had an ultrasound showing just a single embryo in there so hopefully all is well for you too!

@LG93 I feel so badly for you! I hope it settles but it sounds like you may need an IV!

I’m doing all right, was sick the past two mornings before work and then didn’t have to work today and was fine 🤔 so so tired today though! We told my family last night and DH’s a couple of days ago and everyone is happy and excited, I hope things stay fine because I don’t want to have to tell a bunch of people bad news now either.

Leliana · 26/05/2018 22:33

Still no vomiting, but my appetite is dwindling by the day - all I've eaten today is a sausage sandwich and some crisps! DH (quite reasonably) wants to eat dinner, and he thinks I may be feeling sick because I'm not eating much. So he's cooking some food now, and I've agreed to try and eat, but I'm not in the mood!

KimBeau · 27/05/2018 08:26

Hi all. Some non-preganancy-related questions for you. I'm new to Mumsnet and am using the Mumsnet app which appears on my phone titled 'Talk'.

  • Is there a way of launching a group without having to 'flip' the conversation every damn time so that the most recent post is top?
  • Is there a way of seeing the @ names of everyone in a group? I'm curious to know how many of us there are.
  • When I want to reply to someone I have to memorise their @ name because when I type @ in a reply/post, nothing auto-populates. It's really annoying, especially if I want to tag multiple people in one post! I find I can't remember everyone's names so I have to keep copying the message, switching back to the conversation to take another look, and then back to the write post box.

Is it only me struggling with this app? Are there settings I don't know about or is there an alternative, better, app?

Thanks in advance for your help! Hope this post isn't too boring for everyone! 😂

LG93 · 27/05/2018 08:41

Thanks to those who sent sympathies ( I can't remember the usernames to tag 🙈) the doctor didn't really say much other than I probably has hyperemesis gravidarum and to take the tablets. After literally feeling like I might die yesterday I turned a bit of a corner, and If I drink from a sippy cup with a straw I can manage small sips of fluids and I managed a couple of prawn crackers and a mouthful of rice from DH's Chinese last night so hoping the tablets are starting to do their thing... Certainly by no means out of the woods and will see what today brings but hopefully might be able to avoid a hospital visit! Got family over today so that might be interesting, although DH is cooking for me and doing roast beef so I'm looking forward to picking at some potatoes!

Pyxie · 27/05/2018 09:47

Sorry you're suffering @LG93, hg sounds so rough. There's a charity called pregnancy sickness support, it might be worth looking on their website to get more info on treatment. There are several different anti emetics you can try but I know some gps are reluctant to prescribe the more expensive ones Hmm

sexnotgender · 27/05/2018 10:13

That sounds miserable @LG93, sorry you’re suffering so much.
Are you trying any rehydration drinks?

Ozzyseb · 27/05/2018 10:30

@lg93 how far gone are you again? I would definitely try the rehydration drinks with incredibly small sips. Hope it eases for you soon! X

agarwalh · 27/05/2018 10:54

@Kimbeau I downloaded the app and its utterly annoying. I've been facing the same problems as you and end up seeing the posts on a browser.
It's a shame that such a popular website has a pathetic app.

FuckMyUterus · 27/05/2018 12:57

Just been to the toilet for a poo (sorry TMI) and I have the worst diarrhoea and extremely light pink discharge :(
Im so worried that I'm gonna have yet another miscarriage.

Leliana · 27/05/2018 13:28

@LG93, glad you're starting to feel slightly better. Hope you're managing to keep some fluid down.

@fuckmyuterus, I'm so very sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed your little one stays put. What's your plan - are you going to get checked over at some point?

FuckMyUterus · 27/05/2018 13:39

leliana I'm only 5 weeks so can't go get checked. Even if I could, there's nothing they can do anyway.

Leliana · 27/05/2018 14:08

@Fuckmyuterus Sure, but if you see somebody now, might they not schedule you for a scan at 6 weeks to check how things are going? Interestingly, I did hear recently that a study has suggested that an early 'reassurance' scan is associated with better pregnancy outcomes. That surprised me, because as you rightly point out, there isn't anything that can be done at this stage. But in my local area, if a woman has had previous recurrent miscarriages she is referred for an early scan.

Oonkin · 27/05/2018 14:41

@fuckmyuterus I’m in the same boat. Had spotting yesterday and passed a brown clot/discharge with bad cramps and being my first pregnancy I stupidly phoned NHS24 thinking theyd be able to do something/arrange a scan or something and I was told to take paracetamol. I understand they can’t do one thing but now I need to wait another 4 weeks for scan to find out whether I’m still pregnant or not. It’s horrible. I feel like I’m in limbo. No spotting today but still cramping.
I really hope everything works out for you xx

NormallySweary · 27/05/2018 16:37

Hello. Guess it's time to join. Actually due 30th of Dec, but as this is baby 3 and the other two were late I'm hedging my bets for a post Hogmany birth Grin

Officially 9 weeks today (well until I have a scan and they change my dates) and spending every spare minute in bed (work and kids allowing).

Leliana · 27/05/2018 16:50

Hello @NormallySweary! Congratulations on your pregnancy! You're due exactly 2 weeks before me - I'm 7 weeks today! I sympathise with the tiredness - I'm really struggling, and I don't have any DC yet! I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to sort the laundry out and have only managed half a job before needing a rest!

LG93 · 27/05/2018 20:35

Thanks all for thinking of me - I'm 6+4 today. Today has been an infinitely better day - I've been able to drink quite a bit so had some lucozade and rehydration drinks and I'm peeing normally again and feel much better in myself. Now I'm managing to keep the tablets down I'm able to eat small amounts - nothing massive but had a croissant for breakfast and had family over today and managed to eat enough of a roast dinner not to arouse suspicion and then went for a nice walk with them all. I've probably overdone it and I'm v tired now but just crashed on sofa now they've gone and I've got all day tomorrow to relax. Hopefully now the tablets are having an effect (can tell when I'm due another without even looking at the time) that I can start to make some steps back towards normal. I've lost half a stone in just under 3 weeks so was getting a bit concerned!

Welcome to all the newbies!

KimBeau · 27/05/2018 20:40

Pleased for you, @LG93! Hope you continue to feel better x

sexnotgender · 27/05/2018 21:49

That sounds good @LG93, glad you managed to keep a little food down.

Ozzyseb · 27/05/2018 22:22

Hope it continues to improve for you @LG93 x
