I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

@charlottemcg that's exactly why I want to tell my mum but other half doesn't want to tempt fate 🤷‍♀️🙄 going to try and make him cave though in the next couple of weeks when I will be 6/7 weeks.

@agarwalh not the 17th but EDD 22nd ☺so not far out

sexnotgender · 25/05/2018 18:26

I'm 36 and this is my second but first is 14!

Frenchiemamax · 25/05/2018 18:41

Does anyone else’s stomach feel absolutely humongous?! I can’t hide the bloat!

Frenchiemamax · 25/05/2018 18:42

sexnotgender that’s amazing, what does your eldest make of the news?

Leliana · 25/05/2018 19:01

@frenchiemamax, some of my clothes are already too tight Confused The scales say I've not gained any weight since my BFP, but I'm bloated!

I don't have my booking appointment until I'm 9+5, and I'll only be given my scan appointment after that, so I don't know when it'll be - apparently women are being scanned at 13-14 weeks round here. Local antenatal services are apparently in dire straits here. DH is unlikely to be able to get time off work to accompany me to my dating scan at such short notice, so we will probably get a private scan at around 11 weeks so we can meet our baby together (God willing) and get a nuchal translucency measurement.

blueavatar · 25/05/2018 19:39

Hi I'd like to join and stop being a silent observer.

Currently 5 +3 weeks with my 3rd after a MC in December.

DD1 is 14 and DS2 is 10 both from a previous marriage so excited to start again with my partner who hasn't got any.

isambardo · 25/05/2018 20:13

My stomach is huge, the bloat is shocking! I feel so uncomfy and sick.
I’m 7 weeks with my 3rd, due 9th jan. I remember from previous pregnancies feeling huge for a few weeks then the bloating went away completely so I’m hoping history repeats!
I’ve bought some Hush harems in a size up from normal which I’m hoping will see me through the summer.

jennac · 25/05/2018 20:16

Hi @kimbeau wow we’re really close! I’m 7+7 and have my scan on 22nd June! Doesn’t it seem like an eternity away! Wishing you best of luck for Monday...I’m sure everything will be fine! Let us know how you get on. All I’ve done is nap today, I’m so tired but just going with it!

sexnotgender · 25/05/2018 21:46

Frenchiemamax she doesn’t know yet, we told her last time but then I miscarried so want to wait a little. But she was very excited last time so she’ll be fine.

Leliana · 26/05/2018 07:32

Good morning all! I'm awake bright and early - DH woke up at 6am so I'm awake now too! So annoying given that in less than a year, lie-ins and unbroken nights of sleep will be a thing of the past! What is everyone doing this weekend? We're planning to go to the cinema at some point, and we need to do so DIY. Last night DH insisted on cooking fajitas for dinner but I felt so bloated I could barely eat anything Envy

Leliana · 26/05/2018 07:33

*some (bloody phone)

LottieMcG · 26/05/2018 08:05

@Leliana I think I might just sleep this weekend! I had a race planned but don't want to overly exert myself, feeling pretty whacked out! We're telling our mums on Sunday so that should be an experience! Have fun at the cinema!

On another note... I sneezed last night and had such pain in my uterus. Anyone else had that? Must be the ligaments stretching...

Ozzyseb · 26/05/2018 11:02

@lottiemcg I had a coughing fit a couple of days ago and every time I coughed I had a sharp pain. Guessing it's normal as it's not happening constant.
Hope you all have a lovely day!

ld1234 · 26/05/2018 11:35

Anyone had any strange cravings or aversions yet? I can't get enough of melted cheese or biscuits. I used to smoke and now I can't stand the smell or even thought of it Confused

Pyxie · 26/05/2018 14:01

I've gone off tea again, did in my first pregnancy too. This makes me very sad!

I haven't managed a run since Monday, I hate this first trimester exhaustion

Oonkin · 26/05/2018 15:40

Hello everyone! First pregnancy and I’m 7 weeks along but this morning I’ve had some cramping and spotting when I go to the loo. I’ve been told to rest and take paracetamol but the worry is eating me up inside. We’ve been trying to conceive for close to 5 years and were so overjoyed when we found out we were pregnant. The blood is only there when I pee and I’m wearing a pad and nothing is on there. Anyone else had this? Should I be worrying so much?

Upsydasiy · 26/05/2018 16:20

Hello all.

Checking in as I haven’t for a while. Struggling with morning sickness so trailing different meds at the moment to help! Also extremely tired just want to nap all the time.

Hope everyone is okay x

Leliana · 26/05/2018 16:33

Have you seen a doctor, @oonkin? Is it definitely vaginal bleeding, or could it be a UTI? So sorry to hear you're having a scary experience. As I'm sure you know, light spotting in pregnancy isn't always a sign of a problem, and many women have spotting and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. But it's such a nervewracking time. Fingers crossed for you Flowers

LG93 · 26/05/2018 16:55

So the anti sickness drugs aren't working - the only thing I've kept down since wednesday lunchtime was a sausage sandwich last night. Struggling even with fluids today. Trying my best to persevere but I reckon I'm going to end up in a and e before the weekend is over. So tired and weak and feel so bloody thirsty 😩

DottyA · 26/05/2018 17:11

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a few days. Am 8 + 4 with my second baby, due 1st Jan. Didn't find out until this week so was a little bit worried as had been drinking, but had a private scan today and all looks good.

Oonkin · 26/05/2018 17:55

@leliana I called NHS24 and they told me to call back if I started to fill a pad every hour. Thankfully that’s not been the case yet. Pretty sure it’s vaginal. It’s kind of like the light blood you get at the start and end of your period. I’m keeping everything crossed it’a nothing to worry about. We have wanted this for so long x

FuckMyUterus · 26/05/2018 18:03

Can I join? Found out last week, only 2 days late for AF and both tests I have taken are ridiculously dark. Slightly worried that it may mean an ectopic pregnancy, but trying to stay positive!

January 2019!
waitingforbubbles · 26/05/2018 18:06

Hi @KimBeau we sound so similar! Also due between 2-4 of Jan, first baby, 12 week scan on 20th June! I've decided against an early scan just cause it's coming round so quickly, hope yours goes well!!

sexnotgender · 26/05/2018 18:18

Everyone is welcome @fuckmyuterus! My guess would be twins rather than ectopic... that's a very dark line!

Frenchiemamax · 26/05/2018 18:19

LG93 can’t believe how bad your sickness is. Did the doctor say anything else? Have you considered calling 111? You must be dehydrated! X
