I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

Is it normal to have no vomiting

loopdeelou · 16/05/2018 20:38

Losing weight? I can't stop eating! Every time I feel nauseous I realise it's been about two hours since I ate. I reckon I could set an alarm by the nausea now. I feel so sick that I don't want to eat but as soon as I do I feel 100times better. It's resulted in me eating non stop to try to keep the nausea at bay 🤭. Feel like I've already put on weight!

I'm the same loop. Nausea kicked in this week (6+4) and I just keep eating (espec ginger biscuits). I made a packet of hula hoops last an hour though so hopefully it won't be too much of a weight gain Grin Will try switching to mints as feel less guilty!

As I'm high risk I've just found out my first scan will be two weeks today. So excited but so incredibly nervous at the same time. I just want time to fly by now!

LeeCee · 16/05/2018 21:07

I haven't vomited yet @Ash1992 and have only mild nausea that comes and goes!

Also definitely feel like I've put on weight @loopdeelou comfort eating when I'm tired and blue!

Booked in for an early scan at 10 weeks as we're away on a group holiday then and if I break and tell people will at least have the reassurance that bean is doing well

Januarybaby19 · 16/05/2018 21:59

@isambardo thanks for the tip, booked in to see midwife directly in week 9!

Sorry to hear so many are feeling sick, it hit me today too but not too strong yet.

Upsydasiy · 17/05/2018 07:14

Morning all!
Feeling very green today 🤢 last day away with work so hoping to keep the sickness to bay till at least this evening!

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 17/05/2018 08:40

Hello all! Tentatively joining if I may? 4+4 today after MMC in March. Absolutely terrified that it will all go wrong again but can't help but be ridiculously excited too. As ridiculous as it sounds I think I will book scans every fortnight up until 12 weeks as I am so anxious that my body completely didn't realise last time. But for now I'm trying to relax as much as possible. Easier said than done!

stegosauruslady · 17/05/2018 08:58

Timewaitsfornowoman Congratulations! I totally understand the fear, hopefully a couple of scans relax you enough that you don't bankrupt yourself!

So nauseous this morning, I'd prefer to be throwing up as it would give me some relief! I have had to start napping in the afternoons, DP let me snooze and snuck out to do the school run yesterday, I think I will keep him!

Today I'm off to see my Mum (she lives a few hours away so we are meeting for lunch in the middle!) to tell her, no idea how she will react as she already thinks I'm mad for having three children! Still, I get to eat a burger in the sunshine by a river so it will be a nice day!

TwittleBee · 17/05/2018 09:36

Hi all, hoping I can also nervously join? Got my BFP last night on day AF was due, anxious as last cycle was a CP. EDD is 23rd Jan. Already have gone off my usual morning coffee, just waiting for sickness to turn up now (suffered terribly with 1st pregnancy).

TimeWaitsForNoWoman sorry about the MMC in March Flowers Good luck with this pregnancy lovely. We must have close EDD?

stegosauruslady good luck at telling your DM today, enjoy the sunshine!

SP84 · 17/05/2018 10:16

Hi all, I'd like to join in, believe I'm 6 weeks today (woo!) with my first. Been lurking for a little while but not posted as we were on holiday last week. We stayed with my parents for a whole week and I had to resort to the old antibiotics excuse. They asked me so many questions that I had to tell them I was on antibiotics for 10 days for a UTI!!!

Just phoned the docs this morning and bizarrely they suggested I come in for an appointment today. Not sure why really but I'm happy to have some action and be able to talk to someone other than DH who is still a little shell-shocked...

No nausea yet... Suspect it's not far around the corner. Lots of low-level aches and pulling sensations. And absolutely knackered! Looking forward to the journey with everyone here though :)

Notevenmyrealname · 17/05/2018 11:27

I’m definitely feel better today and not too nauseous. During my previous pregnancies, I was lucky and didn’t suffer morning sickness but I remember once or twice in the early stages feeling slightly off if I left it too long without eating. I’m trying to eat little and often now to keep the nausea at bay so my weight should start increasing normally. One thing I’ve really noticed is I’m struggling to regulate my temperature - I’m cold all the time. Is anyone else getting this? I’ve read it is a thing but I’ve never experienced it before. I’ve been cleaning this morning and have had to come upstairs and get into bed for ten minutes just to warm up.

isambardo · 17/05/2018 14:02

I’m cold all the time too! Pretty sure I was hot when pregnant in the past so I dunno what’s going on.

I’ve got brown spotting today (6+1). I had bleeding with ds2 so I know everything could well be fine. I’m half praying everything is okay, half wishing it was over. I had two miscarriages last year so my recent track record isn’t great. We will see!

blorgzorb · 17/05/2018 14:06

I'm cold too! With an occasional hot flush 😩

charlybs · 17/05/2018 17:21

I flip between being hot and cold but right before I'm sick I usually have a hot flush. Lovely!

Went to the doctors the other day to let them know and I'm being weaned off my anti depressants. Hope my post natal depression doesn't flare up again but feeling positive. Got given all my forms to start filling out which was fun as it makes it more of a thing to me!

Doc told me I'll be booked in for an early scan as I don't know our dates properly. Pretty sure I know when conception was tho which puts me at 8 weeks tomorrow!

Ash1992 · 17/05/2018 17:38

Does anyone get sharp twinge now and then

SP84 · 17/05/2018 17:46

I'm getting a bit colder than normal, but tend to be cold normally.

Hope all is OK @isambardo

Just an update from my docs visit today - complete waste of time! Felt awful for taking up a doctors appointment. Turns out the receptionist gave me completely the wrong advice!

Have now picked up my pack with all the forms etc. I feel the same as you @charlybs that it makes it feel more real! Got my booking appointment with the midwife on 6th June, when I'll be 8+6, feels like ages away!

SP84 · 17/05/2018 17:47

@Ash1992 - I've had some pretty painful cramping, not sure if it's the same as your sharp twinges though?

Penelopepitstop2306 · 17/05/2018 18:51

@Ash1992 I get twinges. Sort of takes your breath away. I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about. Just one of those things to go along with.
@Notevenmyrealname I'm feeling cold tonight but I think it's because I'm tired. I always get chilly when I'm tired so hoping a hot cup of Ribena and an early night will do the trick.
@SP84 my booking appointment is on 6th June too. I'll be 8+4 and yes it feels like ages away.

Frenchiemamax · 17/05/2018 19:05

Hi ladies, has anyone taken co-codamol in early pregnancy? I’m 5+1 and am unfortunately still in agony with herpes, dr prescribed it but I’ve heard lots of horror stories (including from the pharmacist!)

sexnotgender · 17/05/2018 19:27

Hello! Got my BFP on Sunday, I'm due 22nd January.

Had an early miscarriage last month so a little cautious.

BabyBjan · 17/05/2018 19:30

I just came back from the Early Pregnancy Unit, have been bleeding heavily all day, period like. They couldn't see my pregnancy on scan as I'm still early 4w4d. Had my blood test done, results tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's all ok (although I seriously doubt as the bleeding won't stop) and I can continue to be part of this group. I just wish I could find out why this is happening again, it would be my 3rd MC Sad

PumpkinPatch000 · 17/05/2018 19:40

Hello All!

I was hoping I could join the group? I got my BFP last night and feeling super excited and nervous. I'm not entirely sure of the due date as my cycles have been odd since a MC but i think the 26th January. Does anyone else have the same due date?

How are you all feeling? x

Frenchiemamax · 17/05/2018 20:24

BabyB so sorry to hear you’re having a rough time, have everything crossed for you x

Lollipop86 · 17/05/2018 20:53

@BabyBjan keeping everything crossed for you xxx

Januarybaby19 · 17/05/2018 20:54

Thinking of you @babybjan xx
