I have recently found out I am pregnant and I believe baby would be due 6th January 2019. I know it is such early days, but are there any other Mums-to-be out there who have just discovered they are pregnant and who will be due next year? Sounds crazy saying that!...

Thank you all for your thoughts xxx best of luck to you too!!

If there's any lady here who had multiple early MCs that could share some experience how to 'fix' this, I'd be super super grateful.

I'm wondering if there's anything I should check or to prepare my body for pregnancies in general

Upsydasiy · 18/05/2018 06:19

@BabyBjan thinking of you x

Ash1992 · 18/05/2018 07:14

Has anyone been taking folic acid but have had an upset stomach taking it. Is there a spray form I can take does anyone know thanks

sexnotgender · 18/05/2018 07:14

Thinking of you babybjan, hope you’re ok.

Anyone else feel absolutely fine? Almost worried I’ve got no symptoms!! I have had the odd brief bout of nausea and dizziness mid afternoon but other than that I feel great!
I have had 4 positive tests and no period so I’m definitely pregnant just feels odd.

Maybe I should be thankful.

ohhellojo · 18/05/2018 07:52

@sexnotgender I’m having very few symptoms. I’m a generally tired person so I’m not sure if my current napping habits is extreme or just me anyway. I’m still in my super skinny jeans with no problem, don’t have sickness or feel queasy, I did have an episode of being a complete wanker, but it was about the time I should have been going through PMT and apparently that’s normal despite being preggo. My OH is suuuuper worried about the lack of any outward signs, however me Ma said she had a breeze through both her pregnancies so I’m hoping (literally got everything crossed) that easy pregnancies are hereditory and nothing is wrong 🤞🏻

Now I’ve said that Ima be spooning my toilet tomorrow morning throwing my guts up 🤦🏼‍♀️

TwittleBee · 18/05/2018 08:08

sexnotgender hello! Our EDD are next to each other eek! Congrats
And Yes I feel no symptoms at all – but then that is a relief because usually I suffer with horrible PMS. Waiting for the “morning” sickness to kick in though, suffered horribly with that with DS

ohhellojo Take the easy pregnancy as a blessing for sure! and FX you have it same as your mother

PumpkinPatch000 Congrats and good luck!

Frenchiemamax bless you having so much pain, have you taken it before? I’ve not had it during pregnancy but was prescribed it after an arm operation and it made me so nauseous and spaced out that I actually felt worse being on and preferred just dealing with the pain.

BabyBjan oh bless you, my heart is going out to you. Flowers No clue about what to suggest for you apart from maybe talk to your Dr, although I know they sometimes arent very helpful with these things.

sexnotgender · 18/05/2018 08:25

Thanks ohhellojo and twittlebee.
May we continue to have lovely straightforward pregnancies!

stegosauruslady · 18/05/2018 08:25

Envy I am now actually throwing up in the mornings. It is crap. DP is being lovely and sympathetic, which helps.

My Mum was surprised and delighted, which I did not expect! I think that as my sister has said she is never having children my Mum is glad that I am providing plenty of Grandbabies!

We have a big party to go to this weekend, I shall be calling dibs on the toilet for throwing up in the morning...my hungover friends can just deal with it! Grin

Frenchiemamax · 18/05/2018 08:33

TwittleBee thanks for the reply! I’ve taken it a few years ago but just being overly cautious now I suppose, I guess the Dr wouldn’t have prescribed it if it was harmful to the little bean but you’re right the side effects are almost as bad as the pain Confused

TwittleBee · 18/05/2018 08:40

stegosauruslady Keep some biscuits or something by your bedside, I found with my first pregnancy it was great to snack as soon as woke up (even if that was at 2am to pee) as it sometimes helped keep my sickness at bay somewhat.
Great to read your mum took it well!
Haha, yes make sure they respect you calling dibs on it too! I was at a hen party whilst (heavily) pregnant and half the ladies were very rude about me "hogging the loo" or "rudely leaving all the time" - oh sorry I have to constantly either throw up or pee!

Frenchiemamax Drs do prescribe stuff all the time that have some risks towards the baby - last pregnancy my Dr kept me on my anti-psychosis (I suffer with extreme anxiety) as they felt the benefits to me outweighed the risks to DS. I ended up coming off them in the 3rd trimester though (and touch wood have been off them since!). All medicines carry risks. But I should imagine it's fine to take co-codamol in 1st trimester, a lot of medicines appear to affect babies more once they enter the 3rd trimester and I should imagine you'll be off it by then?

sexnotgender · 18/05/2018 13:04

Spoke too bloody soon, just had lunch and it’s taking all my willpower not to heave it into the toilet.

Frenchiemamax · 18/05/2018 13:08

Thank you for the reassurance Twittle ❤️

BabyBjan · 18/05/2018 13:50

I just received the results from the hospital and unfortunately I miscarried..best of luck ladies and hope your pregnancies go well and you deliver beautiful babies end of this year/next year! Xxx

TwittleBee · 18/05/2018 13:55

BabyBjan Flowers so sorry. Take care of yourself and best of luck to you and your OH

Ash1992 · 18/05/2018 13:58

@babybjan so sorry to hear how far was you

sexnotgender · 18/05/2018 14:02

So sorry babybjanFlowers

Frenchiemamax · 18/05/2018 14:13

BabyBJan so sorry, we’re here if you need to chat xx

BabyBjan · 18/05/2018 14:25

Thank you ladies xxx really appreciate your support.

I was 4w4d. They couldn't see anything on scan - expected as it was too early. However the hcg is < 1 basically nothing and progesterone also indicate low number. They even wondered how did I pass the pregnancy test as they expect hcg to be at least 25 but I suppose they took the blood after I miscarried.. I'm going to be referred to the recurrent miscarriage Unit now, as I've crossed the magical number 3 MCs :(

kitcatdog · 18/05/2018 15:30

Frenchie take a look at Bumps - www.medicineinpregnancy.org I visited my Dr to chat about whether a new prescription of codiene was suitable. We discussed it and I decided to tough it out until after 12wks although the research shown on the site above says its not certain to affect baby. The website (recommended by my GP), is great for lookong up any medicine.

kitcatdog · 18/05/2018 15:38

Sorry for the bad link. It should be www.medicinesinpregnancy.org or Google Bumps and it should come straight up.

TwittleBee · 18/05/2018 15:38

kitcatdog brilliant link thank you!!!

Upsydasiy · 18/05/2018 15:53

So sorry @BabyBjan

Any of you lovely ladies finding the first trimester lonely?

Frenchiemamax · 18/05/2018 16:35

UpsyDaisy extremely!!

Lollipop86 · 18/05/2018 18:11

So glad to hear some of you don't have any symptoms, just came on as I still have nothing (aside positive tests and no af!) and thought I was going crazy! Hope you all have a fab weekend ahead! Xx

TheNewDelia · 18/05/2018 18:36

@UpsyDaisy yes! especially this week (week 6) when I been feeling so rubbish so haven't been able to do much. None of my friends locally have children. Would love to have some pregnant pals close by!
